Now I understand why my mom will have us sit and eat at a restaurant, before doing our shopping rather than eat at the end of the day and get in a long car ride ❤
@@chan-hr2yg I'm saying in the context that I like doing my shopping and then sit down to eat and relax after a long day, but my mother will always have us eat first then we do the shopping/walking. Hanna pointed out a hack that sometimes eating then sitting contributes to weight gain, rather eat then take a walk.
I liked how she didn’t just say “cut sugar” like all other videos she simply said , eat fibre before sugar which will unexpectedly make you not want to finish your whole sugary snack.
I love the way the charts help you to visualize it. You always here people talking about hacks like these (mainly the vinegar, movement after eating, consuming more fiber), but I've never realized how large the impact was in a single meal before seeing this.
The French traditionally start a meal with a lettuce and "vinaigrette" (mustard, vinegar and oil). They also commonly go for a walk afterwards, especially after heavy meals like family gatherings.
This video was very informative and just so chill? You weren't yelling in our ears and crazy editing which made this so comfy to watch while also learning new stuff
I study sports science and yes your body uses glucose for energy but not from the food you just ate. The food you just ate still require time for digestion and that will happen via the parasympathetic nervous system when your heart rate decreases, digestion increases and vice versa. You can make light movements like walking to increase digestion but vigorous activity would decrease rate of digestion.
For peeps that have acid reflux, exercise is also not recommended for a good few hours after meal, especially ones that involve your core, or jumping and such. Way to get a heartburn.
This has been the BEST video on weight lost I’ve watched so far. The editing was perfect, the sound effects, the visual diagrams, the explaining, method…. Everything was just perfect. And I’ve watched A LOT. They all wearnt as helpful and easy to understand while staying interesting as this one. Keep up the good work 👍🏻 I just subbed❤❤❤
Hey Xin! Thank you so much for your lovely comment 🥺 it means so much to me! Brings me so much joy to hear this! thank you for noticing the small details and i'm so glad the video was of some help to you! All the best and welcome to my channel! ❤❤
It’s not helpful really. People are twisting science to suit their agenda. Learn to eat all food groups in moderation, eat 2-3 meals a day. Sleep, exercise, hydrate. It’s not rocket science.
ilysm I had been in a binge eating rut for weeks and gained about ten pounds and had been ignoring your videos in my recommended for the longest time but i finally got the courage to click on it after I ate until I felt nauseous today and realized I needed to change and I feel this really gave me some motivation to start losing weight again so thank you
i've been battling the same problem as you since summer started. i can safely say that eating fibre first and always trying to have some greens before any meal has made a huge difference. i always feel lighter and more energetic afterwards, even if i've eaten fries or chicken nuggets. it also helps to not overeat until you're full, which is so important. i also strive to not eat atleast 3 or 4 hours after every meal i have, even if it's only cravings. it was so absolutely difficult at the start but now i feel much more capable of doing it. i've lost around 5kg since i started and i haven't restricted myself from any kind of foods as well. if i can do it, i know you are strong enough to do it. binge eating is one hell of a demon, but getting some of the control back is the best feeling ever. i wish you the best through your journey :)
As someone who has been struggling with binge eating... GIRL, I LOVE YOU! you have NO idea how much i tried to research on the internet and it just coming up as "talk to your loved ones" THIS is exactly what i needed 😭 THANK YOU❤❤❤
Great video! Thank you for breaking down all of this info. Something to add though, carbs like bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, etc turn into resistant starches after being cooled down. So if you refrigerated the restaurant pizza and ate it the next day it might have decreased your glucose level further than if it were a fresh pizza.

There is definitely major correlation to what you are saying.
finally a clear explanation of how our body works and how excess glucose does actually ruin our blood stream. I didn’t know how dangerous it could be if we didn’t eat fibre before a sugary snack. Let alone not eat fibre throughout the whole day! Very eye opening!
@@hannaukim I'm currently trying to use the "eating greens" hack before a sugary snack. For example, this morning I ate cut up green pepper first then a small bowl of ice-cream. Hope I'm doing it right?

AMAZING VIDEO! I was already using the fiber starter and the order one, but i kinda felt like the vinegar was more of a online myth. How you’ve shown the facts to explain everything is what we need to actually learn and understand useful information in the internet! GREAT JOB
After this video the way we traditionally eat in Turkey made so much sense. We usually start the meal with a soup and always have a salad on the table while eating the main course. Eating session usually ends with something sweet. Also for breakfast after the eggs and some veggies we generally end it with some sweets like butter ans honey.
Thank you so much 🥺 that is so lovely :) I'm so glad to hear you found this video helpful and you'll be trying out all the hacks! All the best ☺️ and maybe let us know what your favourite hack was! Looking forward to it :)

Eye opening content , thank you so much for sharing such great tips !! Seeing the comparison with graphs really helped visualize what truly happens in our bodies , rather than just hearing a list of do's and dont's without any actual application examples. Kudos 👏🏻
Hey, love the video, lots of tips! Just a heads up, tho, drinking vinegar every day can have some risks. Even though it might help with blood sugar and digestion, too much (like 50-100ml a day) can cause issues like stomach irritation, tooth enamel erosion, and potassium depletion. Also, it’s super acidic and can irritate your throat. Most people recommend just 1-2 tablespoons a day diluted in water to be safe. Just wanted to share, hope that helps! 😊
I used to get really tired after lunch, which was the biggest meal of the day. I started walking 1hr right after lunch and it stopped completely. Even when I don't walk, I don't get tired anymore.
Thanks for the video. I saw the hack eating dessert mostly after lunch or dinner instead having them on their own. Because I used to eat chocolate bars and stuff to feel not hungry but I used to get more hungry and exhausted after eating chocolate. Now, make sure I eat my meal first if I crave for something sweet and it actually works for me because I don’t feel that constant craving of chocolate or junk food.
Okay, new subscriber! I loved this video - from the science based data provided, and the real life experiements, summarizing what you learned so well, and the healthy/improving your life topic! ❤ The only thing I would kindly suggest, is to leave the data on the screen longer - i had trouble reviewing it in the amount of time it was up, and the fiber cheat sheet i had to keep rewinding to get a screenshot. Thank YOU!
I think you could really easily combine a couple of these tips by having a green salad with a vinaigrette before your meal! Then you get the greens/fibre and also the vinegar. I am definitely going to be implementing this into my eating!
@@kodiwilliams4505 I don’t have a monitor to check glucose levels but i definitely have noticed a difference in how “snacky” I feel after a meal if I have a salad with vinaigrette first. And it’s also made me increase the amount of greens I eat hugely since then. I’ve been pretty consistently eating a salad before most lunches and dinners for the past month.
I thought it would just be another video of stuff I already know lol, but I actually learned a lot & will definitely be putting these in practice! Thank you for the great video 🙏
Well thank you ! Finally a video that makes me understand all of this ahah it was well explained and the fact that you were able to show us results each time is very eye opening as you said !
Your way of presenting information is really the best ...And I think I have found a treasure that I can use due to my gluttony for sweets ... I really liked everything you said ... good luck
just stumbled upon your video and i want to say that you have a great video! it is really helpful and easy to follow ^^ i didn't even realized that this video is 15-minutes long 😄
You do not really need to eat all your fibre then all protein before eating carbs, also don’t need to have a whole new green dish before your main meal, you can if you want to, but not always necessary. For example if you are going to eat that salmon dish, have some of the fibre on their own first, then some of the salmon, then you can eat normally, may be leaving some carbs to eat on their own at the end. This way you can utilise the hack but still enjoy most of the meal. But yeah, some meals can be more difficult to incorporate this hack, like burgers, lasagna,…. And another note, your leftover pizza also has another hack: resistant starch, so your blood sugar would already spike less, even without the green hack.
Awesome video! Really appreciate the graphs and measurements. Your presentation is super calm, friendly, easy to follow and the video is not exhaustingly long, which I appreciate :) Video creators nowadays are trending towards longer and longer content which isn't always necessary imho. If I can add a personal story, this really works. One of my closest friends had gestational diabetes during her pregnancy which increases risk of pre-eclampsia and other dangerous health complications for both mom and baby. So in short, very serious situation that needed prompt attention. AFAIK, she used mostly these methods to very successfully control her blood sugar, avoid pre-eclampsia and had a very healthy and normal-sized baby (GD can cause a sort of 'overgrowth' due to the changes in mom's blood sugar and baby's nutrient supply - apologies if my explanation is wonky or incorrect, it's been a while since we've talked about this). These tactics helped her keep her blood sugar very stable and under control, and interestingly enough she actually lost quite a bit of weight early in her pregnancy due to these dietary and habitual changes. So if a pregnant lady got real help for her very serious medical condition from these 'hacks', you can be very sure that it's both safe, effective and doable!

Thank YOU!
Thank you for your feedback I'll definitely make sure to not move on from those details so quick in future! Thanks for watching ❤️
I instantly fell in love with your channel! This video is so entertaining while also being insanely helpful, I appreciate you, thank you! :3
Aw thank you so much! 🥺 I'm so glad this video was helpful and you enjoyed the video! 💛 I appreciate YOU!
I think you could really easily combine a couple of these tips by having a green salad with a vinaigrette before your meal! Then you get the greens/fibre and also the vinegar. I am definitely going to be implementing this into my eating!
Did it work?
@@kodiwilliams4505 I don’t have a monitor to check glucose levels but i definitely have noticed a difference in how “snacky” I feel after a meal if I have a salad with vinaigrette first. And it’s also made me increase the amount of greens I eat hugely since then. I’ve been pretty consistently eating a salad before most lunches and dinners for the past month.
@@88kayleigh great! I’ve been eating salads before meals and eating slowly for the past three days and I’ve notice I’m fuller faster and longer.
Loved to hear all your answers to the questions😊 favourite kind of video of mine bc I love to knit an just listen

just stumbled upon your video and i want to say that you have a great video! it is really helpful and easy to follow ^^ i didn't even realized that this video is 15-minutes long 😄
Don't know how I find your video. First time in this channel and I love it! Such an amazing & informative video 👏
Thank you so much for stopping by 😊
You do not really need to eat all your fibre then all protein before eating carbs, also don’t need to have a whole new green dish before your main meal, you can if you want to, but not always necessary.
This was super helpful! Thank you 🙏🏽🙌🏽
Glad it helped! ☺️
Loved loved loooved the video and all the amazing facts given here. Thank you for spreading the right information ❤️
Thank you so much for watching ❤️
Thank you so much, you simplified it so much it's easy to understand and to apply I'll definitely start with the apple cider vinegar hack first haha!
I'm glad it helped! Let me know how it worked for you!
This is a masterpiece thank u for making this❤
Thank you :') My pleasure! ❤
Great explanation! Love the little animations 😊
Glad you like them! Thank you hehe
This was such a great video!! I love the data research and your cheerful overall demeanor, I feel motivated to try these hacks❤
