My Dr recommended me this. He said u need to inject .25 once per week for 6 weeks. I bought it. I thought I understood the instructions but i didn't. I inject all the 6 weeks at once. Then, i realised i did wrong. I started to feel very thirsty. Then, i got a panic attack because I thought something bad would happen to me. I calmed fown and called the poisons centre. They reassured me it wont affect me but I would have side effects. Now i feel sick in the stomach, extremely tired and I'm vomiting. So now, I'm not sure if i want to inject myself, this time the right amount
    .25 next week.

Same type of semaglutide which you should discuss with your general physician or endocrinologist. Just different brand names. Ozempic is the brand that's only approved indication (reason for prescribing) is for those with Type-2 Diabetes. I've read that health insurers are now monitoring and flagging people filling prescriptions for Ozempic that they are a Type-2 diabetic. I think this is a great idea.

There continues to be a U.S. shortage of Ozempic nationwide, due primary to continued off label prescribing by physicians for weight loss. For the past year, diabetics cannot get the medication reliably or on a predictable basis. It's frequently sold out and back-ordered, and frequently diabetics who must take this medicine to manage their condition are waiting several months before being able to get it. IMHO doctors prescribing Ozempic off label for weight loss while there are shortages like this are professionally irresponsible. Diabetics like me depend on this medicine for our lives. If you are unable to lose weight on a diet, through low carb/low sugar food choices, professional counseling and more exercise, and need to lose weight on a semaglutide, you should be prescribed Wegovy, not Ozempic. Alternatively, your doctor can speak to you about 8 other weight loss medicine alternatives.

@@darlalove8863 Agreed about shortages in general of medicine. But the point of this conversation is about doctors prescribing Ozempic for off label, weight loss uses, at a time when real diabetics cannot get it to save their lives. Simply put - it's irresponsible. Being overweight, while a super serious issue, does not have near the disastrous immediate effects as not being able to properly control blood sugar. There are 8+ other medicines for weight loss, not to mention the more traditional forms of weight control (diet and exercise). I can't tell you how impactful Keto (low carb/sugar) style eating has been to my brother's weight control, how he feels and his health)

So in my situation I have the CYP2C19 enzyme that helps me metabolize certain medications fast. In my case I just completed my second injection.
My first injection within 10 minutes I could feel the effects of it as my taste buds were tingling. It didn’t feel like my mouth was burning by the end of the night but yeah my receptors were tingling. Also I did get nausea my first night and felt high for the evening I took it and my personality sort of changed the second day with me feeling high.
Anyways throughout the week I began to notice it slowed down my hunger completely (I took it Monday night) by Tuesday. The night before I had a big meal and yeah this day I felt great.
I started to notice my weight go down as a I have a digital scale. Anyways it got to the point where it didn’t take much to reduce my hunger by Thursday.
Monday morning I had lost 8 pounds since I started. I just took my second dose today and yeah my taste buds are starting to tingle again.
Now in terms of nausea if I try to eat to much my body will become very sick feeling and I will not be able to keep going.
I’m shocked how fast acting this drug is in fact most drugs barely have an effect on me

You and every doctor prescribing this medication should have your license revoked. There is a shortage of Ozempic in some areas and true diabetics pay the consequences.

@@mrsdavidbanner8577can see the concern for diabetics not getting the medication that they need because overuse by a population who may not be at risk as much as a diabetic if the drug is missed. However some criteria (if not already) to allow for treatment of obesity such as allow for class 3 obesity (BMI greater than 40 or obesity) or class 2 (BMI 35 - 39) if they also have a comorbidity should be in place so they too can get treatment. Don’t be fooled, not all obesity is related to poor nutritional and exercise habits.

Most people with diabetes also made lifestyle choices to have that result. Just like obese people made lifestyle choices(a majority)

@@stevejohnson978 Agreed. When I was diagnosed with Type-2 Diabetes, there was no Ozempic. Much of my health improvement came from building a foundation based on exercise, thearapy, family support, eating Keto, moving to small meal sizes (5X per day), eliminating most sugar, high carbs, and signifcantly reducing dairy products. (Drinking milk is almost as bad as drinking full sugar sodas!) I built a long term program with a registered dietician who taught me a ton about how food gets processed in my body, in partnership with my general physician and endocrinologist. Today, I take .25 of Ozempic and my A1C is 5.9. I am 6' and weigh 173lbs.

You should be ashamed of yourself, if you prescribe ozempric for weight loss. We diabetics NEED this medication and can not get it. Let's be honest MOST, not all, obese people could loss the wight with some self discipline. Its shameful that people are looking for a quick fix instead of actually making a lifestyle change.

I think it would be gr8 if there was enough of this medication for both diabetics and obese people who also deserve treatment for their chronic condition which can lead to illnesses such as cancer and heart disease etc.
Surely prevention is just as important as cure in this case 😻

I started crying I want to wake up, and I had I decided to stop eating so much sugar and carbs and snacking all night ever been more productive of my day give me
