That’s because of supply and demand. In this case you have people who are taking this drug who are not diabetic to keep small. There are people abusing this drug.

My Dr recommended me this. He said u need to inject .25 once per week for 6 weeks. I bought it. I thought I understood the instructions but i didn't. I inject all the 6 weeks at once. Then, i realised i did wrong. I started to feel very thirsty. Then, i got a panic attack because I thought something bad would happen to me. I calmed fown and called the poisons centre. They reassured me it wont affect me but I would have side effects. Now i feel sick in the stomach, extremely tired and I'm vomiting. So now, I'm not sure if i want to inject myself, this time the right amount .25 next week.
I would be very careful with ozempic if I were you. I had one injection of .25 and I was sick in bed for a whole week and never thought I would be back to normal. My doctor laughed at me and didn't believe me. I actually called the manufacturer and told them what happened.I will never ever take ozempic again.

Ozempic is the brand that's only approved indication (reason for prescribing) is for those with Type-2 Diabetes. I've read that health insurers are now monitoring and flagging people filling prescriptions for Ozempic that they are a Type-2 diabetic. I think this is a great idea.

There are 8+ other medicines for weight loss, not to mention the more traditional forms of weight control (diet and exercise). I can't tell you how impactful Keto (low carb/sugar) style eating has been to my brother's weight control, how he feels and his health)

My first injection within 10 minutes I could feel the effects of it as my taste buds were tingling. However some criteria (if not already) to allow for treatment of obesity such as allow for class 3 obesity (BMI greater than 40 or obesity) or class 2 (BMI 35 - 39) if they also have a comorbidity should be in place so they too can get treatment. Don’t be fooled, not all obesity is related to poor nutritional and exercise habits.

Much of my health improvement came from building a foundation based on exercise, thearapy, family support, eating Keto, moving to small meal sizes (5X per day), eliminating most sugar, high carbs, and signifcantly reducing dairy products. (Drinking milk is almost as bad as drinking full sugar sodas!) I built a long term program with a registered dietician who taught me a ton about how food gets processed in my body, in partnership with my general physician and endocrinologist. Today, I take .25 of Ozempic and my A1C is 5.9. I am 6' and weigh 173lbs.
You should be ashamed of yourself, if you prescribe ozempric for weight loss. We diabetics NEED this medication and can not get it. Remarkable; took me more than two years and going to the 1 mg. OZEMPIC to lose 14 lbs. Want to go to 2 mgs, but doctor told me to stay on 1 mg.

I'm pre-diabetic and also morbidly obese. I started Ozempic at 0.25 (starter). Should I switch to wegovy? So far, I don't have any symptoms.
You should speak to your doctor.
I was told to do the .25 for 6 weeks to allow your body to adjust before you go to a higher dose.

However some criteria (if not already) to allow for treatment of obesity such as allow for class 3 obesity (BMI greater than 40 or obesity) or class 2 (BMI 35 - 39) if they also have a comorbidity should be in place so they too can get treatment. Don’t be fooled, not all obesity is related to poor nutritional and exercise habits.
Most people with diabetes also made lifestyle choices to have that result. Just like obese people made lifestyle choices(a majority)
@@mrsdavidbanner8577 Not saying that at all and should have stated so at the beginning. So many health issues contribute to obesity that also limit ones life and ability to enjoy life. I'm referring referring to Kardashians, etc. that publicly state they utilize this for looks not life. Sorry if I offended as some of my family and friends suffer with obesity.
@@stevejohnson978 Agreed. When I was diagnosed with Type-2 Diabetes, there was no Ozempic. Much of my health improvement came from building a foundation based on exercise, thearapy, family support, eating Keto, moving to small meal sizes (5X per day), eliminating most sugar, high carbs, and signifcantly reducing dairy products. (Drinking milk is almost as bad as drinking full sugar sodas!) I built a long term program with a registered dietician who taught me a ton about how food gets processed in my body, in partnership with my general physician and endocrinologist. Today, I take .25 of Ozempic and my A1C is 5.9. I am 6' and weigh 173lbs.

You should be ashamed of yourself, if you prescribe ozempric for weight loss. We diabetics NEED this medication and can not get it. Let's be honest MOST, not all, obese people could loss the wight with some self discipline. Its shameful that people are looking for a quick fix instead of actually making a lifestyle change.

I think it would be gr8 if there was enough of this medication for both diabetics and obese people who also deserve treatment for their chronic condition which can lead to illnesses such as cancer and heart disease etc.

So I have a question when you say body weight is it water weight actual fat mass I was just wondering I’m technically good at losing weight and exercising and working out but since I’ve been literally depressed, I have like certain games over 20 pounds in a month I thought that I was relaxing and just chilling out eating but I was actually letting my health go to Waze until my eight-year-old son told me that he want me to be healthy and my bellies getting better and I start a sugar and he motivated me to get up and start to take better care of myself and getting up and allowing them to see me active so they went to my doctors and I was really heavy. I started crying I want to wake up, and I had I decided to stop eating so much sugar and carbs and snacking all night ever been more productive of my day give me
