0:13 - 0:17 missed the important part "How to we identify which one is hot-swap and which one is not" there is no info on the website or anywhere I could find. does it depend on the serial no or what?
hey razer can i use your gen 3 switches to replace some switches on my blackwidow te chroma v2 keyboard?
when will be the V4 Hot swappable be available In PH?
where i can order switches for razer huntsman mini?
Do purple switches support the blackwidow 75% ?
A review on amazon said they need to be re-solded on a Blackwidow V3?!?
You can change the keys of an ornata v3 (mechanical-membrane)
but can i swap the switches on my tartarus pro?
you completly skip showing the soldering side of things...
Because why give a tutorial on how to do something, that you should know how to do already if you're going to attempt it?
@@godominus9222 because if I'm going to chuck out a $200+ keyboard, I would rather spend the $5-$10 of stuff and make the attempt to fix it.
@@godominus9222I’m not a scientist or anything but last I checked people aren’t boring knowing everything
@@pyro_chris183 You might not be a scientist but you could have at least tried to make sense
Does it work with the BlackWidow v3 Tkl?
Don't bu blackwidow v4, the "A" key works half the time, bought 5 months ago, and thats not good for gaming. And i cnt remove i with switch puller, so this shit is soldered...
How can I change razer keyboard huntsman mini switches I have the switches but I don’t no how to change them
Do you know if the huntsman mini needs to be soldered or not?
hey its because my keybroad does not want to cange color when i try to change it in synapse
The lights are on the switch I think
Can i remove Bw v3 switches? I tried a lot but they seems welded.
Do you find ?
Do you have the answer yet? Mine is BW V3 as well, planning to change the switches…
Lamento decírtelo, pero vienen soldados, es un fastidio el Bw v3, anda pensando en comprar el Bw v4 75% que si es removible como en el vídeo o sino el hunstman v2 tkl
They're soldered to the PCB, You will need to deseolder them
Is it possible on an Razer huntsman v2?

Now do the same one a Blackwidow v4 X which has soldered on switches. One switch becomes faulty and it takes a full disassembly to change out one single faulty switch. I get it soldering creates a better contact but makes switching out faulty switches a damn pain. I thought on getting a replacement keyboard but it turned out to be too much of a hassle to go throught the steps necessary while its still in warranty also its kinda weird to get the keyboard replaced because one switch became faulty. Instead Im planning a disassembly to change out the faulty switch with one that is "rarely used" or not used at all, like Right CTRL since noone uses that key.
I was really annoyed when I found out a keyboard this expensive has the keys soldered in.. now it is a project to replace my "A" key that only randomly double clicks
@@Teaman01 Interesting, I got mine a month ago and am having issues with the "A" key as well - it will randomly not press down.
I got a black widow about 6 months ago and I’m having issues with the “A” key now too. Came here because I couldn’t get the switch off and I didn’t know why, just to find out that it’s soldered. Sucks that this single key seems to be such a common problem and they’re still selling this keyboard.
I need help. I lost my activation code of my headphones Razer Blackshark V2 and I cant configure my headphones
Bro is trying to get support in the UA-cam comments 💀
@@bubbles7492 Whats wrong with that?
@@maikseibel5233 because this is a video about how to remove and install mechanical switches on a keyboard. They won't answer him here
HOW THE FUCK DO I KNOW IF IT IS HOTSWAPPLEBLE OR NOT
Worse explaining video ever
I was gonna get a Razor mouse, but unfortunately their software needs an internet connection to install. It's bad enough that it only supports Windows, but asking me to let a Microsoft product touch the outside world is a bit much. No official Linux support either, though there is OpenRazer. The mouse I want is supported so I'll try that. If I can't rebind my buttons, turn off the light bullshit and save it all to the onboard memory I'll just send the mouse back. Easy peasy.
you're on the internet watching this video....
How about just dont buy a razer.
@@Subbers06 Unfortunately there isn't all that much choice for us open-source people. I went with the Viper 8khz. No idea about the khz. Anyway, OpenRazer worked for me mostly. Couldn't rebind the buttons on the right though to my specific needs, but since this is only for my daily use box, I can manage.
Yes, we have to download most drivers in 2020s. Nothing new there. It's convenient for everyone else.
