Same!! After launching the orb back across, I used a club to angle the spring so it didn't shoot me up so high, and only did 3.5 hearts of damage, instead of just outright killing me! And then I got the chest, and died again, but the chest counted as an auto-save, and I said "I'll take it" and finished up the shrine.
@@Duecenage After the ball I think I just lucked out and sprung across, being left with a quarter of a heart 😅 After getting the chest, I found out I could fall down onto the small wall lights and then go down one by one using the freefall to quickly rush back into the wall
i completed this without a glider because i ran around without doing any of the main quests in the beginning. you have to angle the diagonal jump back to the lower platform to launch you into the wall's lights to descend downward without taking lethal fall damage
@@TheViktorPutin my playthrough went like this: Jump off the Great Sky Island, go in a random direction, fuck around and do shrines & sidequests, accidentally fall into the depths, stay there and kill lots of stuff (after dying lots of times), do the colosseum (to prove a point), then finally start the actual story. Zero regrets. I think I'll try to do it glider-less anyway, just because it's possible.
@@SuperVALERock pretty much did the same thing, but got frustrated over not having a glider, so i made a detour from exploring to grab it. I'm sure people have done a gliderless 100% run by now too
