I treat all of the devices equally! The stake, though low attack, can make a pretty nice weapon, and looks pretty cool attached. It also makes a great support for certain builds! When you’re done building, shake the stake. My main weapon is Savage Lynel Horn at this point, but there are so many things I can use these devices for! (Floating platforms have become my favorite method of cheesing. You won’t even believe how many puzzles I cheesed after not understanding, lol.) one of them, in the fire temple, I’d completely forgotten I could enter from above, cheesed it, and was like “Oh… I forgot there was a hole on the map…”
Another trick for the zonai engineers like me is that you can amplify the shock emitter's range using a hydrant that is pointing it. (Idk how to write it i'm italian) Featcure used in a yiga scheme
About the timer bombs (fused to shield). Attach timer bombs to a multi shot (like Lynel) bow. Aim and fire right in front of link. Have 3 empty shields ready. Very quickly (train yourself to do this before hand, and pre-set the ability wheel to fuse) press L, LZ, and hold left on the D pad. Switch to next shield and go again (L, LZ, hold left). You should have enough time to squeeze the last fuse in. 3 for 1 bomb shields for your jumping fun.
In the subterranean level, shoot with a multi shot bow (x5 or x3) a big brightbloom seed to instantly light it all up. (It consumes 1 seed, but shoots 3 or 5) 😎
If I'm low on Stamina while gliding, I'll just stop moving and drop a glider then ride it until my stamina recovers. That way I'm at least still moving. I do use the hoverstones for something even more useful: an easy way to universally do those stupid signs for Addison! While I won't say the hydrant is bad (I have a build saved for washing away Mucktorok's sludge), Gibdos are probably the worst argument you could have given because *any* elemental effect will soften a Gibdo: Water, Fire, Ice, and Lightning. So yes you _could_ put a hydrant on your shield/weapon and soften the gibdo with water, or you could just put a Gleeok horn on your weapon (Gerudo are my personal preference for Gleeok Horns) for insanely high elemental damage (30 on a normal weapon, 60 on Gerudo)
I still find mirros to be usless for builds. You would think they would deflect the beam lasers under 45* but nope.... The only good use i found for them in combo with spring to make a turret hatch for a tank.

I really wish they would've made it so if you stack like 4/5 lights, it would make a light ray strong enough for the mirror to use. Also I was so bummed when I realized the beam couldn't interact with the mirror. Also another device combo I felt should have been in the game is spring arrows. When I tried them my initial thoughts were "okay so this should make the arrow ricochet" but it does not. Also it would be cool if stabilizers could knock enemies over when attached to an arrow.
