And your sweet comment reminded me of a line in a 1927 NYTimes article about the year's annual exhibition of the Society for Independent Artists: "Another fellow, who wore his hair long and his tie florid, said he had spent the afternoon gazing with gratification on a couple of lemons and half a cantaloupe. Those lemons, he said, somehow expressed his soul."
Perfect but I have one advice : cut the vegetables a day before, put some salt on it, spread them on the largest surface you can, and put them in the fridge overnight without lid. The fridge and salt will extract the water so the flavors are more concentrated and the final result is less soaky and more crispy. After that, take your vegetables, press them over sink (you can also use kitchen paper). And then place them standing up on your baking dish (so there is more contact with the heat from oven), with a layer of this red sauce you made an a drizzle of olive oil on top.
interesting idea! but wouldn't it be bad for the vegetables to be left uncooked and exposed to air for 24 hrs? in my personal experience, this causes oxidation, especially in the eggplants (which basically means it won't taste as nice and it will lose much of its vibrant colour, tending instead towards brown, like when you leave a slice of apple out)

Right when I saw the Ratatouille dish in the movie. I instantly wanted to try it. It looked so delicious! And when she was done with hers. I just wanted to go into the video and take the food. She did great on cooking that.
Though the film was called Ratatouille, the dish itself is actually the rather closely related (but more visually pleasing) "tian", also from Provence, in the south of France. Yours looked really beautiful.
Wow what a relaxing cooking channel. Sharp contrast to the norm in this arena. Usually it's people slightly yelling to try and grab your attention. @@Victor_Graves no my dear, not in Italian
I’d still wanna try it anyways, it looks pretty good tho in this vid
Right when I saw the Ratatouille dish in the movie. I instantly wanted to try it. It looked so delicious! And when she was done with hers. I just wanted to go into the video and take the food. She did great on cooking that.
Me having anxiety
**Inga posts**
Video: *"Anxiety? We don't do that here"*
her: day off
also her: i'm making ratatouille for youtube!
🤣
I've missed Inga's videos happy you got a day off to enjoy yourself and take a break
It's amazing how a movie can influence someone's direction in life. Today, I'm a licensed *rat* because of that movie.
Though the film was called Ratatouille, the dish itself is actually the rather closely related (but more visually pleasing) "tian", also from Provence, in the south of France. Yours looked really beautiful.
What a great random video I came across. This was relaxing af
The color grading on this video just adds this extra special feeling to it
This literally looks JUST like the movie one. You did such a good job
Just like my mother says:
"We make mistakes, but we learn from them"
And oh my God do I want to make this dish 😍
I love how she finds the little things so satisfying and comforting😊😊
It's amazing how a movie can influence someone's direction in life. Today, I'm a licensed rat activist because of that movie.
Gotta love that UA-cam algorithm. Never thought I would be watching someone making ratatouille. Cool.
just listening to her voice is so soothing! Thanks Inga!
Wow what a relaxing cooking channel. Sharp contrast to the norm in this arena. Usually it's people slightly yelling to try and grab your attention. Doing flashy cooking techniques or having their own little gimmicks. This just felt like something that I could sit on the couch and watch while I sip my morning tea and wake up. So totally subbed.

i used to watch this kind of videos when i was a kid but never find an accurate ratatouille one. if 12 years old me find this video she would cry with happy tears
Her: I just have to constantly remind myself to not get over-excited, otherwise, I will not just be slicing vegetables.
The music: 🎻🎼🍷
This video is literally my aesthetic:

girl we've all mangled ourselves with the mandolin and been traumatized by it you are not alone
So true. I have that exact same mandolin and bought those exact same cut resistant gloves because of it!
Oof, yes. And the scar on my thumb will always remind me to treat it with care. And hesitation. But for slicing potatoes for a spanish tortilla, it's the only way to go.
The image of the blood still haunts me 😣
Same here and it was years with my late grandma and I witnessed it myself
I don’t think you guys understand how stressed I was when I seen her pour milk over ice cubes. I don’t know why I didn’t think it would be for coffee
Ikr plain milk and ice makes me so anxious like why 😂
Same, and it was whole milk too I was so concerned lmao.
I mean, that's how you make iced coffees thoooo
@@ChriisC I drink it like that all the time lmao
I once mixed milk, and honey with ice. It's good
the fact that shes cooking with a white shirt just shows u how experienced she is
😂
The music makes this so calming ~
