Your videos have been really helpful for me as i want to pursue my journey in data science with non-tech background.
I am lost as in whether i should directly get into bootcamps that are pretty expensive or focus on the resources available on the internet or learn from udemy or coursera.

I relate this so much! I started at a community college because I failed a college entry exam in South Korea. My English was so bad. I used to tell people "I work at a meth lab" when I meant "I work at a math lab" as a math tutor. I am also a first generation college student and only one in my family working in corporate America. Thanks for sharing your story, all these failure & success stories are so inspiring. I love how you were able to build your career path step by step.

Your honesty motivated me to do hard work. thanks a lot for being an honest person. Generally, successful people hide their failure to make their image extraordinary, but your simplicity, and attitude of not quitting easily are amazing. thanks a lot for sharing this story. I've just started my Data Science course on Coursera and it's so inspiring to see someone who comes from a non-technical background to succeed in this field. I studied Linguistics and Education and now I've decided to try more technical fields to get more career opportunities. I've never been exceptionally good at Maths and many people tell me not to even try but I've decided to try anyway. Let's see what happens. Thank you for being here for us as a pure inspiration ❤

      Hey you're not alone man
      I'm here too

I am currently pursuing 4 year degree program in Data Science from respected university although I also come from non maths/tech background (I was medico back then)
But I am grind day and day to improve myself to be par with my peers
Grades are not well in 1st sem
But I'll make up to the best

Fellow linguistics student! so far in life I've stuck with humanities (sociology, psych, english) and I can easily continue in those filed but lately I've recalled my childhood fondness for tech and I cant ignore the voice that tells me to switch into an IT field. So far I've looked at programming and data analysis, lets see where it goes!

You’re an inspiration for me! I got my associates in business administration and I’m doing my bachelors degree in Information systems & technology. I’m so happy to know I can be a data analyst and more. I couldn’t decide between business analytics or information systems. But I think I’ll be fine in both.

It feels great when you set out to achieve something and the universe just delivers it to you when you make attempts like whether it is applying for a job and getting the offer or networking with people who you don't work with, asking for their support or reference and then them deciding to open the doors for you but for many others it feels devastating that after many attempts and requests , they end up going no where, making no progress so in that way it seems like you have been incredibly blessed to have things work out your way without life shredding you to pieces even though you had to try a couple of times to succeed.

Hi Sundas new fan to your channel. This is a very motivating video.I have around 12 years of experience in sales and want to move to Data analytics domain.I have learned most of the skills for Data analytics on my own but whenever wherever i apply for analytics roles i am not shortlisted even though Sales analysis, Customer analysis, Competitor analysis, Market Research has been part of my skillset all these years maybe because my resume says Sales manager,Territory Sales Manager or Sales Engineer as previous designation .I see you shared a video about Googles Advanced Data analytics certification.Want to know will it help me in getting some senior role as a Data Analyst or will i have to start as a fresher in this field??
