Your videos have been really helpful for me as i want to pursue my journey in data science with non-tech background. I am lost as in whether i should directly get into bootcamps that are pretty expensive or focus on the resources available on the internet or learn from udemy or coursera.
Thanks for sharing your story! I understand now that having a MSDS is a very big part of being in this role. I want to use the website builder it sounds easy to build for a online project and case studies. I heard this makes you really stand out as a candidate.
I relate this so much! I started at a community college because I failed a college entry exam in South Korea. My English was so bad. I used to tell people "I work at a meth lab" when I meant "I work at a math lab" as a math tutor. I am also a first generation college student and only one in my family working in corporate America. Thanks for sharing your story, all these failure & success stories are so inspiring. I love how you were able to build your career path step by step.
Your honesty motivated me to do hard work. thanks a lot for being an honest person. Generally, successful people hide their failure to make their image extraordinary, but your simplicity, and attitude of not quitting easily are amazing. thanks a lot for sharing this story. I learn lots of things from you.
I've just started my Data Science course on Coursera and it's so inspiring to see someone who comes from a non-technical background to succeed in this field. I studied Linguistics and Education and now I've decided to try more technical fields to get more career opportunities. I've never been exceptionally good at Maths and many people tell me not to even try but I've decided to try anyway. Let's see what happens. Thank you for being here for us as a pure inspiration ❤
Hey you're not alone man I'm here too however no said that to me but I feel a little bit behind among my peers in terms of mathematics and statistics academically I am currently pursuing 4 year degree program in Data Science from respected university although I also come from non maths/tech background (I was medico back then) But I am grind day and day to improve myself to be par with my peers Grades are not well in 1st sem But I'll make up to the best
Fellow linguistics student! so far in life I've stuck with humanities (sociology, psych, english) and I can easily continue in those filed but lately I've recalled my childhood fondness for tech and I cant ignore the voice that tells me to switch into an IT field. So far I've looked at programming and data analysis, lets see where it goes!
You’re an inspiration for me! I got my associates in business administration and I’m doing my bachelors degree in Information systems & technology. I’m so happy to know I can be a data analyst and more. I couldn’t decide between business analytics or information systems. But I think I’ll be fine in both.
These personal stories are SO helpful (and interesting). Really appreciate you sharing, Sundas. Thank you. Also, you should be proud of yourself! You are such a great success story. Congratulations. :)
Thank you for sharing your story! After the setbacks I went through recently I felt demotivated to continue. This video has inspired me to continue this journey.
Wow, Sundas -- such a powerful story of grid and perseverance in spite of the headwinds that you faced, especially discrimination & access to tech. Your journey showcases the power of adaptability, asking for support, and implementing feedback! Also find it incredible that you create such polished content on top of everything else you do. Looking forward to continuing to hearing more of your journey.
It feels great when you set out to achieve something and the universe just delivers it to you when you make attempts like whether it is applying for a job and getting the offer or networking with people who you don't work with, asking for their support or reference and then them deciding to open the doors for you but for many others it feels devastating that after many attempts and requests , they end up going no where, making no progress so in that way it seems like you have been incredibly blessed to have things work out your way without life shredding you to pieces even though you had to try a couple of times to succeed.
I am immensely inspired. I am just starting my journey in data science [no tech background] and I will always come back here for inspiration and learning. Thank you.

Your video resonated heavily with me. I really rate highly your honesty which some other content creators lack. I find lot of similarities in our journey as well. Coming from Business/Finance looking to learn new skills and finding new kind of work, and trying to figure out what it might be. Your hard work and continuous learning is an inspiration to me. Thank you for the great videos!
Thank you so much for this information! I'm glad the UA-cam algorithm recommended one of your videos. I found this very inspiring and I plan on starting the Google Data Analytics Coursera course next month for more exposure along with research and free resources.
ma'am , is it true that demand for data scientists is decreasing due to the global takeover of AI ? Will be awaiting for an answer. Is it still be considered a good career/high paying job?
I was wondering if you can make a video of how you studied, and give an example with making a project using a resource/book/tutorial for data science! I'm having difficulty learning how to self learn!
