About to finish my Google data analytics certificate. Just found out about the advanced one and boom you come out with this great video. It's almost as tho the stars are aligning! Thank you for this review!
I’m half way with Google Data Analytics… I have ZERO exp within the Data Science realm and wondering if I should continue with the Advanced course right after I finish course #1, should I? Looking forward to nail my first entry level Data Analytics job, but have IT experience as Unix Sysadmin. Could you please advise? Regards.
I've taken the certificate and I enjoyed it. However, I agree with you on the need to consult other resources and work on real projects to solidify the concepts learned.
i have a masters in data science and this course is pretty good in refreshing my knowledge, filling in gaps too. its really good at teaching how to use these skills in a professional environment.
@@khipayrkira9891 Not much to be fair. You probably need a data related BSc or MSc to land a DS role though. These certificates could help in landing a Data Analyst role.

The Google Advanced Data Analytics is amazing. In my opinion, the name of the program should Google Data Science program rather than Google Advanced Data Analytics. Because it focuses on Data Science, just like the IBM Data Science program.
I'm almost finishing this certificate and I can say it's pretty good. I'm as well doing an MBA in Data Science so, most of the concepts I have already been in touch before, but it has been very refreshing. Just think that as it proposes to be a advanced data analytics it should teach a bit of SQL instead of machine learning which is much more relataed to data science, but like you said, focus is generic in this course somehow
If you were looking for a possibility of condensing down or summarizing how long it takes to complete, one way of looking at the entire certificate is the full duration of the videos on each course. I calculated the total for the entire advanced certificate at an estimated 20 hours worth of videos. With focused reading and planning for completing and practicing each tool and concept, you could probably finish this cert in 40 hours. Possibly adding in projects would add in an additional 20 hours. Given all of that estimation and depending on your schedule and understanding of the material, in my view, you could finish this certificate in less than a month.
