Hey Arika. I’m happy to see you talk about this. Have been trying to hear the non-tech background people experiences as everything or majorly every MS now has technical aspects so which couldn’t be escaped.
im currently a psychology undergrad student that is interested in data analytics/science and considering applying to a data science master's program. this video was amazing! thank you Arika
Arika, could you also bring some of your friends or other people of non-tech background on your channel and interview them to share their experiences from non-tech to tech (Analytics you’ve spoken about, so probably could be some from some other domain).?!
Hii...I did my Bachelor's Degree from Hotel Management and now I want to do my Masters in Business Analytics in USA....so how to answer in visa interview about course shifting... please answer this
Hi Arika I love your content delivery! I have a business undergrad and just got my first job as an analyst in a people analytics company. I'm looking at getting a MSBA. Could u talk about your GRE scores and what are th3 best resources to get a great score
Hii Arika I completed my graduation in bba finance and wanted to Pursue masters in business analytics So do really need technical background or is msba contain coding or programming? Please answer me asap coz I got my offer letter of business analytics and today I have to pay my tuition fees 😬so just confused
Hi Rushikesh, sorry for the delay. I don't think you need a prior technical background to pursue an MSBA but it helps to have some foundational math and programming courses. I would say you can do if you are interested in learning the material, I came from a pscyhology background and I was able to finish the program!
Arika, Community of non-tech to tech background people is exactly what I’m seeking for. Do you suggest or can share some links as to where I can find or connect. (p.s. Tried googling, couldn’t find any useful source). Much love from India.
@Arika I am really looking to connect with more such people and draw my career decisions based on real life experiences and data sets. Very less examples exist in my circle.
Great question, it really depends on the role. Business analytics/data analytics are used interchangeably(generally). For business analytics, it's analytics generally performed in the business world whereas data analytics is an umbrella term that can refer to any field. The analytics roles have statistics but also focus on reporting. Data Science tends to be a bit more technical role generally with programming/statistics as a focus.
Viewers, anyone from non-tech background (BBA/bcom,etc) planning for Masters (MS) in USA in upcoming months or fall 2023.?? I am in a really stressful situation. If anybody can connect me to someone who they know would be really helpful. Thanks.
@@ArikaReddy thank you so much Akka!!! I'm thinking about applying this October or January. But I don't know how my profile should be to get into the university

Thank you so much for the insightful video, Arika! (I am also binge-watching your other videos). I'm considering a career transition in business analytics. I've already had a master's degree in environmental studies and a few years of work experience in climate change and market research. Would you recommend investigating a master's program in MSBA or taking some online courses and gaining relevant certifications instead?
Hi Alicia! Thank you so much for watching❤️ I have a huge passion for climate change, I really appreciate the work you are doing in that space. If you already have a master’s, I would first recommend doing certifications or a bootcamp to learn the data skills and then you can even transition into a environmental data analyst role at various agencies if that space is still interesting to you or even do a total pivot.
Thank you so much for this video!

Yes! It’s so important to see. There are many of us who made this transition.
@@ArikaReddy Would be happy to learn from more of such example setters like you, as this non-tech TO tech sample size is quiet low.

This is an interesting idea. Most of my friends are in the data space but I could venture further.
