    Hey everyone! New video!! yayy :D No voice over this time. Taking a break from detailed videos. I have been super busy with shows and sales and real life stuff, but I wanted to get a new video up. I've also been struggling hardcore with a bad cold and my voice has been really struggling for the last few weeks.
    Anywho, I hope you enjoy this video! Let me know if you have any questions! Also, If you have any music recommendations, that would rock. I've been having a hard time choosing music that everyone would like.
    Please let me know if you have any pottery video requests!

    I think most people watch this to be satisfied, but as a beginner Potter, I was holding my breath every time you brought up the wall! Haha you're control is amazing!

    I really appreciate you taking us along on these creative journeys. Not a potter,,, still, I can stand in awe as a master plies their craft. Thank you.

    Love the mudcat ending! Now we need a follow-up. Will you show the glazing process and what the fully finished piece looks like in a part two?

    UA-cam recommended one of your videos, so I watched all of them. I hope you can find time to return and make more videos, because your work is so beautiful and I really enjoyed watching you work.

    how are your hands SO CLEAN?! amazing

  • @puggilove
    @puggilove 4 роки тому

    I'm amazed at how clean your hands and tools are! I use slip so I dont weaken my pots with too much water, it stops them collapsing but theres a lot of slip to remove off the pot/tools. I dont understand how you can throw without water or slip?! Love from England ♥️

      She’s using water the whole time. When you see her hands go off screen( 5:00 for example) she’s moistening her hands or a sponge.
      You don’t need a lot of water, too much would weaken it like you said.

    Your work is amazingly controlled and precise--really beautiful! How many pounds of clay did you use? Did you have to trim at all when it got to the leather-hard stage? Also, I am going to assume you don't make a foot, right? Sorry for all the questions...thanks in advance!

    One word YOU'RE FABULOUS! OKAY! That's two and a half words lol... I'm in the process of comparing wheels at the moment looking to purchase one. I noticed you're on a Brent. I am vacillating between the Brent and the Bailey's XL Pro. May I ask why you chose the Brent? What other Wheels were you considering to buy and why...

    • @KaiCeramicsOfficial
      @KaiCeramicsOfficial  6 років тому +1

      I have only ever used a Brent or a Shimpo. My knowledge in wheels are quite lacking. I got really lucky and my school was selling their old wheels for super cheap.

    Hi, do you throw the clay fresh out of the bag, or do you dry it out for a bit?

    • @KaiCeramicsOfficial
      @KaiCeramicsOfficial  6 років тому +4

      Fresh out of the bag! It's easiest to use when it's fresh and still wet. My wrists hate throwing with tough clay.

      could you maybe try and make a shaving mug with a lid? ive tried but my lids seem to shrink a bit so they dont fit as well after drying out. or btw. do you throw your lids upside down or right side up?
