I especially like how the flow of creating the vase is broken down with well described technical steps. The split screen editing complements the easy conversation style narrative. Beginning, intermediate, and advanced potters will benefit observing this generous video! Looks like a shimpo wheel? ELY Molloy Studio
i absolutely love the colour of your clay ! does it help the colour of glaze come through better ? my pottery teacher has mostly red clay and it’s always a pain to glaze.
I lost it when you described it as 'choking a person'.
ALOL!!
Yikes.
especially the third time lol
Gotta practice on a person first, before I risk ruining a pot.

You’re split screen is great! It’s just what I need to imitate.
I am so happy to have found your channel since this tutorial was so incredibly comprehensive! Thanks for sharing!
Best bottle shaping tutorial I've seen! Thanks!
Hi again just found this and it’s fab- so detailed very helpful- why are you not doing more videos - you are the best to watch!
Thank you so much for your tutorials. Very informative. I have learned quite a bit and enjoy your style of teaching.
It looks so graceful. Beautiful!
yeah that really took a turn at the "try to push the air out, like when you're choking a person."
This is amazing instruction.... I used to pot a fair amount a few years ago. Even so, this was most enjoyable and relaxing.
So beautiful and such a great tutor! Thanks Lynne New Zealand
Glad I found these videos. So well done. Please make more videos.
Fantastic demo, well explained. Thank you
Lol. most of my students do too. Thanks for watching!
How many pounds of clay did you use in this video?
Great video!
You explain everything so well!! Thank you!!!
Porcelain. Coleman and Babu is what I use most of the time
Don’t like the choking comment-that being said I love your work. Very talented person.
You're awesome man. Thanks for the video :)
Great instruction on collaring! Thanks
do you compress the rim?
How tall (inches) was your cylinder before you started to belly it out?
Fantastic video. Great teaching style! Can’t wait to choke (my bottle lol)
You are amaaazing 👍👍👍thank you
Are you using the tip of your fingers on the inside of the pot when you’re shaping the bottom? Thank you!
Perfect demo 👍Perfect neck 👍👏
Not much from you lately! can we expect more videos soon?
What clay do you use? Is it porcelain or stoneware?
This a question I always wonder. You are using a porcelain body, I am using a groggy earthenware body. Can I still have a very thin neck ?
Different clay has its own challenges but Yes, you can make thin necked bottles with groggy earthware. Hope this helps
how much clay did you start with please?
So cool!
3 pounds of Coleman porcelain
merci beaucoup
I'm not sure I can do this ... I have no experience choking people. 😂
i absolutely love the colour of your clay ! does it help the colour of glaze come through better ? my pottery teacher has mostly red clay and it’s always a pain to glaze.
Yes! White clay body is alway brighter and prettier with most glaze. Not earthy.
How do you trim the bottom of a pot like this?
Please check out the trimming video under ki Cho pottery
