Oh Christine,......no end of possibilities with this technique.....no end of your talents......no end to your Knowledge .......and I have no end of fun watching your videos .......Thank you so much Christine for the time you spend making them....🦋xxx
Another beautiful card from you Christine, I love how you are surprised when the colours change. Siri always putting his 2 cents worth in is always funny. Thank you again. ❤
Oh my! What a treat today for me to make time to nurture my spirit and tune in to Radio Chris. A cuppa always tastes twice as nice with your dulcet tones. I admire your ability to think outside the square, to just play and never to have a fixed expectation about the finished object. Your Joy in discovery speaks to my inner child and doubles the pleasure when learning new techniques. Many thanks. 🍃🌳🍁🌳🍁
I liked the brown one but as a strong second came the last blue one. Thank you for your experiments that we get to take part of. I learn so much when I watch your videos.
I loved the results on the brown/orange very autumy and the second blue one would make a lovely christmas background i can see an embelished bauble hanging from the top. So lovely.
Not sure how I missed this video, I might have thought I watch this one too. Hard to say with me. LOL This technique just blows my mind with the end look. The colors are so beautiful and love how they pop after you ink up the flat part of the embossing. The orange piece is gorgeous, and I love the pine bough with the Night of Navy color. Just gorgeous! Hugs, Brenda
Lovely brown and rust card would be nice for a man's card, I will have to try that and as you say if you use your least favourite backgrounds it is amazing how they turn out. Thank you for sharing your time and talent.
I think I watched in the wrong order but no matter. That second branch folder came out so beautiful. It's interesting what the difference in inks made. Definitely good fun experimenting. I feel like there are too many oak species to count. Someone was really upset with that folder, saying that's not oak, and going on and on. Well, one - artistic license, and two - I went down the google rabbit hole and there are many, many oaks that don't have the traditional leaf shape so who am I to judge. I'm certainly not a botanist and who can tell from a drawing. Me, I just love the look of the folder.
Hello Christine. Merci pour tous ces essais ! Les rendus sont wonderful ! Il ne nous reste plus qu à essayer de notre côté en espérant que nos résultats soient aussi beaux . . Thank and good Day 👏👏👋👋👋👋
My account kept unsubscribing recently. I found that it stopped doing that after I clicked subscribe and notify. I hope this helps others as well. I truly enjoy your videos. You deserve the support.
What a lovely effect. I really like that and will definitely give it a go. I think I’ve got some catching up to do with your videos. You tube weren’t showing them on my news feed and I had been unsubscribed. Now that I’ve re subscribed your videos are showing up again. Thank you fir a wonderful video. - Dawn 🌅
Hi Chrissie. After you did the backgrounds i went on yhe honeypot website (20% off) and bought 6 luster powders. Can't wait for them to arrive. Now to hunt down some spray starch. I'm going to try the hardware store. Can't wait to see the finished cards😊
Lovely effect from this technique and a quicker way to colour & create a bold and pretty background. I like oxides for blending quality and the more subtle or softer look, but I know you have the original Disress know but since oxides, haven't used them. These may work better as the chalk layer of darker oxides make the surface look dulled down and matt, unless you use photo paper and wipe the chalk layer away with a dampened day or wet wipe revealing the gloss of the photo paper and vibrant base colours. I'm still subscribed, UA-cam didn't mess with my subscriptios, and I watch your videos daily or at least every time you post them.
I love your experiments. Will definitely be making backgrounds by trying the spray starch and both of these debossing techniques. Good to know die inks work. I must admit I had to Google “chalk and cheese”. 😆
Love all your experimentation. Looks like a technique I’ll be trying soon. You might want to put your embossing folders hinged side first. I think that may make it easier to crank through. That’s how I was taught. Hope that helps.
Love everything about your cards and the techniques you try. Learn something new every time. Regarding the subscription--I find that if I watch your videos on UA-cam TV, I have to subcribe each time. If watching on the computer, I don't have a problem with the subscribe. Perhaps that's where the subbies are lost. Thanks for everything!
Love this Christine! Thank you - one of my biggest struggles is having loads of backgrounds (which I love making) but then struggling to know what to do with them/making them look good on cards. Amazing idea!
Gorgeous effects! I really like the looks of the one with clear embossing powder, but they are all beautiful and unique. I have an embossing folder that has minimal background (similar to the one you have with the leaves). I would like to use Pebeo gilding wax but am not sure how I would go about spreading it on the background without getting it into my burgundy debossed image. Maybe I could try a brayer. I'm hoping it wouldn't be too bold since the background is very minimal. You've opened a world of opportunities! Thank you! 👍👍❤❤👍👍
I believe the leaf could be from a North American Oak not sure if I have the spelling right “Chinkapin” I did a project on Oak Trees many moons ago but there is quite a few species of Oak. 😁Love the technique Christine thank you for showing us. 🌳
The last one with the oxide ink...dies wiping it allow the glimmer to show again? I had a hot mess with photo paper and oxide ink until a video showed the beauty of wiping the oxidation off. Love your stuff, Christine! Thx 19:2219:22
Which die cutter machine/embosser would you recommend? I’m a beginner only really wanting to make cards to start with. I’m loving your UA-cam videos, thank you
Sorry my comment was a bit jumbled in the middle, grabbing my lunch and a quick look at your video at same time and commenting are possibly too much to fit in my wee half hour lunch break.
I could listen to you all day. Your monologues and sense of awe with all your discoveries and chaps you create are truly delightful.
Thanks so much😊😊😊

Wow Christine, these were fabulous. That last bluenone has almost a fluorescence about it. Thanks so much. ❤😊
It's fun isn't it!😊😊😊
Love the brown and the last blue one. Glad that your mind likes to keep you experimenting.
Itt certainly does!
I love that you can use other colors and not just black!!! I like that you let us see how you expand with an idea!! I am going to try this for sure!!
Have lots of fun!
I liked the brown one but as a strong second came the last blue one. Thank you for your experiments that we get to take part of. I learn so much when I watch your videos.
That's terrific, thank you😄
That last blue one was a stunner. It looked like light shining on leaves at night 😊 love to see what you come up with it as a card.
I'll enjoy getting on with that one!😄
Beautiful effects from your experimenting. Especially the autumn leaves and the second pine branches. 👏😊💕
Thanks so much 😊
Love them all.
Also love hearing the enjoyment you get out of it.
So glad!
Beautiful Christine, Who knew??? Thank you for your curiosity! I

That looks like Autumn leaves on a black footpath that's been wet from rain!
😊😊😊
Very nice shimmer, it would make a lovely winter card
I think so too!
Oh woah slow down I have ideas coming out of my ears now. I’ll have to get going on my backgrounds now. Love these.
Wonderful!
A two-fer. Wowee! Such a simple technique, but the results SO beautiful! TFS. From Cheryl in AZ

I love the look of it too Karen, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it! It certainly does a good job with the embossing!😊
Wow, Christine that's beautiful
My pleasure😊

More great techniques to try! I hardly ever use a debossed side for anything but will certainly be giving this a go!
Have fun!
Thanks for sharing your ideas. I have a ton of backgrounds too. Time to play.

Great effects with the debossing technique Chris, I think I'll give this a go! Thanks so much :)

If the hinged side is too difficult too sounds through, it's best to try it open side first

I believe the leaf could be from a North American Oak not sure if I have the spelling right “Chinkapin” I did a project on Oak Trees many moons ago but there is quite a few species of Oak. 😁Love the technique Christine thank you for showing us. 🌳
I only know of English Oak and Turkey Oak so this is interesting! 😊😊😊
Yes, there are many varieties of oak. The Acorns embossing folder image reminds me of a Canyon Live Oak (Quercus-chrysolepis)
Can’t wait to try this. Need to find spray starch. Tried B&M yesterday but no luck. Hoping for better results at Tesco
Good luck!
Nice look. Thanks for
My pleasure 😊
Hello Christine this demo inspired me....i recorded my results to show you i dont know where to send! X

Very effective

I will doing the technique.

The last one with the oxide ink...dies wiping it allow the glimmer to show again? I had a hot mess with photo paper and oxide ink until a video showed the beauty of wiping the oxidation off. Love your stuff, Christine! Thx 19:22 19:22
Thanks so much😄
Which die cutter machine/embosser would you recommend? I’m a beginner only really wanting to make cards to start with. I’m loving your UA-cam videos, thank you
Well I have several, but I do like my Spellbinders Platinum6.
Did any one else see a face in the orange background bit of in paper before it was embossed
I'll have to have a look. I remember that one background that I made, had a terrific image of a dog's face🤣
Ps its a very good technique
Thanks😊
I wonder, if you sprinkle some water on the oxide one, will it look like snow?
Try it!
Sorry my comment was a bit jumbled in the middle, grabbing my lunch and a quick look at your video at same time and commenting are possibly too much to fit in my wee half hour lunch break.
No worries!
What is the difference of using the spray starch instead of water for these powders? I’ve always used water but I see you use spray starch?
It is a thicker consistency and ends up giving a slight sheen to the finished effect.
Thank you 😊
❤❤❤
