When you first started blending these, I had my doubts, but they turned out amazing. The sentiment on vellum was a great touch. Beautiful cards, Amy❣️
Yep, doing sympathy cards in 'the heat of the moment' is definitely not the way to go. Much better to do them with a calm mind. These are elegant and understated. There's something about that fern that's just right. Thank you for the inspo for these difficult cards that we don't like to think about - but all need at some time.
Beautiful cards. Yes it is good to have sympathy cards on hand. They are hard to make “in the moment” when they are needed. These turned out really nice. The embossing designs are perfect.
Amy, I have been meaning to ask you about your mini die cutter. I know you didn’t use it in this video but this is the most recent video so I thought you might see the comment. What brand is your mini die cutter and do you like it? Have you tried any others? I’m trying to find a comparison of all the miniature, die cutters and I can’t find anything anywhere, so I thought I’d ask the individual owners! Thank you for your help
Gorgeous-thank you for sharing these meaningful sympathy cards 🍀
These are beautiful. I wasn't honestly sure about the colors to begin with,😂😮, but they were gorgeous when they dried.
Wonderful and respectful sympathy cards. Great job. 😊
So beautiful and perfect for Sympathy cards. Thank you. 🙏💕
Love these card, I really struggle with sympathy cards.
Amy, these cards are gorgeous. I love this style for sympathy cards. I unfortunately have had to make many sympathy cards in the last 2 months. 😢 Thank for share your creativity with us. ❤❤
Lovely cards Amy. Thank you for sharing 😊
Amy, as usual, just loving the color combos on these cards. The gold splatter and embossing, just to quote you…” chefs kiss”! I need to make thank you cards and definitely thinking to use these colors. Beautiful. Thank you.
When you did it, the green splatter wasn't very visible - but in the final close-ups, I can see that it really adds to the cards. I haven't made any sympathy cards, either, in ages. Then just last week a friend asked me to make her 8 sympathy cards. Then I decided while I was on a roll, I would make a bunch for my sister (as a pastor's wife, she sends a lot of sympathy cards.). Then I realized I really didn't have any on hand myself, and made more - and here you are doing the same! These are both lovely and quick to make; thanks for sharing.
Thankyou Amy. I had 2 deaths in the family, this month one on Christmas and December 18. I wasnt prepared . I have no Stamps or Dies or any ideas for that. I took your link and ran with it. I'm Old my self. It never entered my mind to make condolence cards. Yours are absolutely beautiful. Thanks again.
Beautiful and such a great idea…Adding it to my list of cards to make 😊
Amy, love those cards. Classy and elegant for the occasion . All those special touches play very nicely together on that kraft card stock. Your video has inspired me for the need. Thanks for sharing your creativity.
Beautiful cards Amy 🥰 I love the embossing folders, your ink blending and the sentiments ❤️ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx
The sentiment on vellum is beautiful! I have to get out my embossing folders and try this out. Simple, beautiful and necessary! Thanks for sharing the inside of the card as well! Thanks for the video!
I love these! They are beautiful and appropriate for sympathy cards.
Those cards are absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing. 🥰
These are so very nice. I like the understated/quiet design. These are tough cards to create and so necessary to have on hand. They will mean a lot to the recipient. Thank you for the idea and layout of these cards.
These are really beautiful and like you said, the kraft paper mutes the colors. Like I would’ve never guessed cracked pistachio!! Wonderful cards as always ❤
Amy I just want to say how much I love seeing your lovely face. I have always loved your very fun personality and it’s so nice to be able to put a face to the voice. You are a delight and I love your channel and all you bring to the table. You are so gifted and helpful. Thank you for all you do for this community. GOD bless you my dear. Oh and I love these cards!👍❤️
Beautiful cards and sentiments! ❤ Thank you Amy R!
No bling needed with all the sparkly embossing and splatters. Loved these cards and your beautiful they were. Embossing folders here I come. Thanks again for all your lovely tips and techniques.
Excellent, perfect, and yes -- no bling please. These are exactly the kind of card I would want to send. And I agree, having them on hand rather doing them under pressure or while hurting is the way to go to make this difficult task a little easier. Really good job, Amy. And your words were fine.
Your sympathy cards are lovely. I think the oxides on the desert storm add a softness that is perfect for this type of card. Thank you for sharing.
Simply beautiful! Nothing else needed. ❤
Very nice sympathy cards! I love that they are on the subtle side and have a nature vibe.
Amazing cards, Amy. I love your techniques and your great ability to put colors together!
Those were all lovely cards. Sympathy cards are the hardest to make.
Amy, these cards are PERFECT as sympathy cards and came out beautifully.
Very artistic and tasteful...I like them I don't like overly mushy sentiments ...I like things to be sincere and simple about death. So I like the simplicity of the cards.....................
Just wait until you age more. My generation is dropping like flies!
Thanks for doing these. It’s hard to address this subject for so many people. I’m always unsure if I overdo and might hurt someone’s feelings. Loved these very much. 💜💜
Amy these cards are just beautiful and so appropriate. You are so right it’s one of the hardest cards to get happy about creating it. I like you try to make a few ahead. Thank you Amy, you are so appreciated.
These cards are lovely, and they’d be appreciated at the time of passing. The colors are perfect and so is that fern! I’ve got that stamp set, too, and it’s just right for many uses. Thanks so much, Amy! 💌 🫶🏻
My work space is a total mess too. I wish I could work differently but I haven’t managed to learn how. I once melted a new stamping platform with my heat gun. Love these cards, and I need to make sympathy cards too. Thank you.
So beautiful Amy. The kraft bases are perfect and I LOVE the combo of colours you used, the greens feel really calm and appropriate for a Sympathy card. They are each absolutely beautiful cards xoxo
OMGOSH! 2 METAL SHIMS? I never thought of that and I have so much trouble with the 3D embossing folders. Thank you for showing me this and it really works! Ciao:)
Beautiful cards. I know they would bring comfort to any recipient. Also very gender neutral. Love! ❤❤
Very beautiful for a different situation. Love the color combos for a Christmas tree embossing folder…hmmm….you’ve inspired me.
Beautiful, beautiful cards! I definitely need to make some to have on hand. I don't have a good selection of sympathy sentiments. Guess I need to purchase more :( TFS.
AND.....beautiful cards. Yes, I would prefer to have these on hand instead of having to make one right when you need it. Ciao:)
These cards are simply perfect and would definitely be great to have on hand for when needed. My husband's cousin just lost their 3 year old son and I just have not been able to think of making a sympathy card, much less know what to say in it. This set looks like it has some great messages that would work. Thanks for sharing!
Oh that is heartbreaking. So sorry for your family. Hugs & prayers for everyone.
hugs
Really beautiful cards..... & I like that they would also work for happier occasions!
Beautiful job!...I like to keep sympathy cards in my stash also,... never know when you need them and it is not a card you like to just sit down and make in a given situation...thanks!
Amy, what a genius idea for using the tweezers to help with the bow! Beautiful cards! 😊❤️🐾🌵
I appreciate these ideas. I never thought of using Kraft for sympathy cards. Very interesting effect. Thank you.
Just beautiful.
Nothing else needed, they’re perfect.
And good to have ready.
Laura
Great job Amy! These cards turned out incredible and it's good to have them on hand. I thought they were pretty ugly at first and wondered what you were thinking, LOL, but you pulled it off once again!!!!
Hi,
I love the fern cards mostly because the colors and splashes go very well together. ❤
The vine ones, I find the colors a bit dull, maybe it's an optical illusion. Like them anyway! The fact of making them in advance is a great idea. Thanks for sharing this with us.
As with Susan, I wasn't too impressed but when I saw them finished, I changed my mind. I loved the vellum and the little gold splatters. Ruth down under.
Beautiful and classy cards. The sentiments are wonderful, they say just the right things. Thank you!
My go to sympathy card is using the Altenew 3-D embossing folder (flower of some sort) with a touch of ink to highlight. Then a sentiment. I like the use of the vellum strip though. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
These are very nice cards. Thank you for sharing. I also love your hack of using tweezers to hold your twine. Game changer!
Absolutely gorgeous! My first time watching you. I’m now a subscriber!
Hi Amy,
Your cards are BEAUTIFUL. TYFS. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I had to make my first sympathy card ever too when Paul’s grandma died this June. Like you said, hard to do in the moment… I have one spare now. On another happier note, ohhhhh, doing embossing folders with snow splatters for Christmas, eh?
Lovely cards 💝 and having them done ahead of time keeps me from overthinking the situation. I must check my embossing folders, as always thank you for the inspiration.
Perfect for sympathy - or anything, but still perfect for sympathy. I love the sparkle and two tone sentiment inside and colors you chose - works for both male and female. Now to go through my stash and find something with the same impact.
What beautiful cards to produce a few in a crafty session. Topped my crafty to do list this week. I have a bunch of embossing folders that I like but don’t know how to use that would be perfect for this! Thank you!
Lovely designs. I should get out my embossing folders to see if this idea would work with any of them. Thank you for sharing. I have already made 8 sympathy cards for friends this year. That’s a record for me. But then again, i am a senior so guess who my friends are. ❤️
Hello Amy, Beautiful cards. You have inspired me to pull out my embossing folders.
These cards are beautiful and perfectly matched for the occasion. Wonderful, thank you.
These are so beautiful Amy! Have you ever done any pet sympathy cards? I’m going to be needing that very soon for my sister. I could copy this but I think I need some thing with paw prints.
Hi. Just an idea for you to consider... I made one that had a heart and a paw die cut placed diagonally near the corners with a thin gold thread gently swirled across and connecting the two die cuts. The idea was to convey how the connection is eternal. I feel like our pets are eternal babies as it is, which makes losing them exceptionally painful. Just create from your heart. ❤❤
I haven't made any and it will be some time before I do but there is definitely a lot of inspiration out there for those cards as MANY brands have released some really good stamps and die sets for it over the last few years
Definitely color combos I wouldn’t think of but they work. These are beautiful 💜
Very pretty sympathy cards. Thank you for doing this type of card. It is very appreciated. Great inspiration. 🤍
Thanks for the inspiration for sympathy cards. They are beautiful.
Totally beautiful cards. I was not sure about the ink combinations, but whoa, they are wonderful. Thank you.
Very simple yet very elegant! I shall attempt this for my stash. THankYou for sharing😍
These are soooo elegant and beautiful. I'll have to remember these next time I need a sympathy card. I like that stamp set for SSS. Thank you for sharing
We agree its better to have a few sympathy cards made up. Thanks for sharing your creations and Happy Crafting x
Beautiful beautiful cards Amy. Totally agree that of all cards to have a few on hand, sympathy cards are the most important and the most difficult to make at the time they are needed. Plus of all the handmade cards to give to someone, a sympathy card is so very much appreciated by the recipient. These 4 are subtle and understated and elegant, just perfect. ❤😘
Pretty cards. The bones are my favorites. I had doubts when you had them in the splat box with how dark they looked but they absorbed and dried back to beautiful colors!
Those are lovely. I was glad to hear your discussion of the craft knife. I bleed on my projects enough as it is!
I, too, would rather do sympathy cards ahead. Great project for to ight. Love your cards. I think I have that set.
Using the reverse tweezers to help tie a bow! Omg, thank you for sharing this because I struggle with bows!
Beautiful cards! I like the colors you used. Very classic but elegant vibes.
Thank you for the tips for sympathy cards! Just beautiful!
Beautiful cards Amy. Thanks for the inspiration
These are lovely Amy. I agree you need to make these way ahead of time. Your nails look so good with your rings!!!! 😊
I’ve had to make far too many sympathy cards lately unfortunately unfortunately.
You're so creative/talented, Amy. Thank you 💕
These cards are absolutely beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration.
Love the simple beauty of these--this is the kind of idea we need more of. Thank you!
They are perfect for sympathy cards! Have to sit down and make some now. Making them ahead of time is a great idea!!
Beautiful Cards thanks for the inspiration going apply this to some Christmas Cards I am making at this time !
simple design, but elegant cards. thanks so much for sharing.
Beautiful cards Amy, thanks for the inspiration ❤
Beautiful cards. I have a similar kind of sense of humour and can find myself in a sticky situation at times ooops 😂
Elegant, lovely and tasteful. Thanks for sharing.
I ❤ the beautiful simplicity of your cards! So lovely!
I’ve learned so much from you thank you soooo much!
Very special
I like monochrome for sympathy cards, and simple is better.
Making them ahead of time! I’m going to do that, I usually go buy them bc it’s too hard at the moment.
These are very nice. Just got the fern folder so I'll be using it like that very soon.
Fantastic ideas. Really love the cards and totally sympathy appropriate.
