To come up with Darth names I just take the key trait we focus in on with the characters and then search for the coolest sounding translation for that trait I can find.

Alas, the new "Canon" fails to match up to Legends on so many levels. I'd have preferred that Jaina Solo novel to anything involving that poorly-written Rey.

DSrider's Teeside Geek Reactions That may be, but much of the material they've put out thus far regarding the new Canon has been lacking in terms of quality writing content. And what material that wasn't lackluster, didn't add anything that wasn't already done (and done thoroughly) in Legends.
If you want to compare the beginning of the EU vs the beginning of the Dis-canon, look at the Thrawn Trilogy. Objectively better than anything that has been created in the new canon and Im pretty sure the Thrawn trilogy is one of the first things ever written in what would become the expanded universe continuity. In fact its so early that im pretty sure the only other thing that had been released at that time was the Dark Empire comic series.
Yeah, this is sort of what I bring up all the time. Canon fans always say "Well they did it because the EU was a mess of contradicting stories!" And I reply: And the new canon isn't? Seriously, Rebels portrays the Empire aside from Thrawn and Vader as so incompetent that it's impossible for me to believe the Empire could have lasted more than a few years, let alone two decades.
If legends took decades then maybe the canon should have taken some info from them instead of discarding it entirely

Tholme (a Dark Jedi mercenary who works as a double agent for both sides)
Kyp Durron (if Han Solo never took him back to the NJO and continued to fight the Empire as a latent dark-sider)
Kao-Cen Darach (a Sith Marauder with far sight and his own agenda)
Fay (Star Wars Galadriel post-Ring of Power)
Plo Koon (a model Jedi turned on his head into the perfect Sith--cold, calculating and lawful but utterly amoral)
Recommendations for Jedi/Grey Jedi:
Lana Beniko (either as a defector from the Sith Order or a Grey Jedi who believes the Sith can be redeemed or worked with rather than destroyed)
Bane (found late in life by the Army of Light, a scholar and Jedi Lord who either falls away or radically reforms the Order post-Ruusan)
Lumiya (taking Mara Jade's place and avoids disfigurement)
Aurra Sing (remains in the Order as a Knight, probably under a different Master)
Kas'im (a dedicated Jedi Blademaster)
That's some interesting ideas especially Lumiya, Kyp, and Tholme.
Bane ironically could have been a Jedi had he been discovered (they even mentioned he was too powerful to pass over)

Round 2. Ok, lets go. Doing it character by character again.
Btw: i don't know if I said this last time, but these are extremely difficult to do.
Jaina: Sword of the Sith sounds way cooler. She wouldn't be a good ruler or a good schemer. Instead, I see her as a hedonistic wander. She goes and does whatever she wants and takes orders from no one. Maybe she would also go Akuma style and look for the ultimate fight that would kill her. Or maybe Jaina is a chaotic neutral Sith (if Sith can be neutral).
Satelee: Spelling is probably off. As a combatant, (like Nomi) she would be a terrifying force wielder. You are all right. She is very much and archetypical Jedi. Im guessing her higher calling would be to the order and create her own Sith Empire. Maybe King Ommin like Sith Sorcerer ruler?
Anya Kuro: Ive been waiting for Kuro to be addressed. I imagine her being a less philosophical Darth Traya. One of the greatest behind the scenes chess master. I think she would still hold fanatsticsm but for the dark side but questioning the nature of the sith code and the order. Can we imagine what Kuro would be like as the Korriban Academy Headmaster though? Or she would be more like the One Sith? Twisted Jedi Order rather than being a supporter of true Sith Philosophy? There are so many possibilities that Anya Kuro could do as a darksider. As a fighter, give up plant control but she would likely get Sith sorcery and lightning. Also, phase through someone head, re-phase to kill them??? idk if she can do that, but I think she could. Imagine dark side Kuro vs Traya in a game of chess. That would be another awesome thing to see.
Darth Maul: I assume TPM Maul. If thats the case, I think he would be a great jedi. His fierce discipline and martial arts training would be excellent with jedi philosophy. Maybe he would grow up and become a Teras Kasi instructor in the Jedi Temple? His jedi master would def be Mace Windu. It would help him with his raw passion and would continue his martial arts training and fierce discipline. Would he master Vaapad ala Windu though? I have no idea. Probably he could do it though. He would still have a saber staff though.
Zannath: I have no idea but I have the perfect master. Yarael Poof. Poof would teach her to use illusions but to peacefully end conflict and would instruct her in the ancient art of getting the pizza. Though she would def be a controversial Jedi because I feel her interest in dark side lore would occur similar to Jerec.
Wyyrlock 3rd: My 2nd fav Sith from Legacy (Krayt is #1). His love for his family and daughter would work in the Jedi assuming the Jedi order would be fine with him having a family. I agree, he would be the Jedi Loremaster like Durall. He would still be intimidating and grim though. Anyone who disturbs his library or has an obnoxious voice would be screwed (looking at Liam the Padawan). As a force wielder, I could see him being like Odan Urr.
As for suggestions (some serious, some not) :
Darth Maladi, Lumiya, anyone from the Jedi Covenant, Jerec as a true Sith Lord, Liam the Padawan, K'krukh (and his sick hat), Kasim, Coleman Trebor, and thats about it for now.
As for a vs matchup, this one is way to good to me that I wanted to post this when a new video came out.
Lord Nyax vs Kar Vastor: The brutal juggernauts who were corrupted. One by nature, the other by machines.
Please continue this thought experiment. Perhaps the sith version of Rahm Kota would be interesting.

I love what you guys are doing, but you could definitely go much farther. You mentioned that standard Jedi are less interesting, but that's because Jedi are not defined by how they carry themselves Day to Day. Most of the time, even the worst Jedi follows the Code, and so is similar from the outside viewpoint.
What matters, what forges a great Jedi, and an interesting character is their One Bad Day. Their Dark Rendezvous, their Shatterpoint, their mother's death to Tusken Raiders (obviously they can have more than one, it's just a catchy name).
What happens when the young Maul, who trains obsessively every day to become a battlemaster, when hears his beloved swordsmanship instructor (Cin Drallig?) was murdered during a routine assignment?
What happens when the rabidly curious and radical Jedi Zannah finds an old cursed Tomb, haunted by the Ghost of ancient Sith Lords?
What happens when the clones march into Wyyrlock's Library? Does he try to save the younglings, or go down swinging?
These moments are what make great Jedi end up like Anakin Skywalker instead of Obi-Wan Kenobi (or Vise Versa)
Now, my opinion on the figures covered in the video, because I can't help but share:
(Also, you might want to cover what drives these people to fall, no one is forced to the Dark Side).
During the Dark Times era, Jaina could *be* Darth Vader. Seriously. Combat oriented Jedi, goes dark to protect her family, things go badly and some/most end up dying (because that's what the Dark Side always does), she retreats inwards into an emotionally stunted wreck, Palpatine uses her as a living killbot.
Satele becomes just as devoted to the Sith Code and ideology as she was in canon to the Jedi, and becomes a terrifying enforcer of doctrine of Sith Orthodoxy: "you have fallen from the true Path of the Dark Side. You are but an embarrassment to what we truly are, and for that you must die." A quite literal Sith Inquisition, if you will.
You guys pretty much hit the nail on the head for Anya Kurro, basically just Plagueis with Sith Magic instead of Science. Very scary Rule of Two Sith Lord.
Maul can very easily be similar, but as a Jedi and fundamentally decent person rather than as a Sith Assassin. Pushes himself just as hard to excel, but in a physical enlightenment sense rather than a "I want to kill everyone forever" sense. Gets paired up with a Lightsaber specialist as a master, who he is unusually devoted to as a Jedi. On the path to Battlemaster for sure. Probably one of the few who can regularly spar with Anakin on an even level.
Zannah I think could do very well as a Jedi during their Golden Age, and she would function as a cursebreaker, delving into the Dark places of the galaxy and purifying them with the Jedi version of Dispel magic. Good at Buffing fellow Jedi against Dark Side powers and AOE Force Valour, Force Speed. Probably an extraordinary Healer as well. Any story centering on her would probably revolve around fighting something akin to the Exar Kun spirit or unearthing a Dark Side Cult embedded on a Republic world. And there would be at least one scene where unassuming and non-combat oriented little middle-aged Zannah Force Stuns everyone in an entire building. There are your offensive light side powers.
Wyyrlock I'm not very familiar with, but a more imposing "Haunted Library" version of Jocasta Nu would be fun. Maybe he presents trials to young Jedi to prove they aren't ready for the secrets of the restricted Holocrons.
Finally, I repeat my suggestions from last time: Compare each Order's Ideals. Bane and Sidious as Jedi compared to Yoda and Luke as Sith.
This. This is the content we need.
I believe a light side Maul would be similar to his brother Savage Opress before his transformation by the Nightsisters. He would have a strong loyalty and care to his Jedi brethren like what Savage had with their youngest brother, Feral, and a very strong sense of honor. Maul's strong discipline would definitely be a prominent defining trait and through that I believe would make him climb through the Jedi ranks and be one of the Order's greatest warriors and might even occupy the position Cin Drallig holds, Head of the Jedi Temple Guard was it?
Jedi Battlemaster
YAS Zannah! Okay lot to say. I'm with greyjedi. She had a mean streak but it wasn't out of the ordinary for a kid. As she got older in a jedi environment i think that would be very easily managed and even erased. I also agree that she'd be open and outgoing given what we saw of her with the other kids during that whole comic. Like it's weird to say, but i'd say she's way more of a normal real life kid then most of the ones we've seen in star wars. Power wise i do like the compariosn to anya. It makes sense that Zannah would be good with those kinda more out their powers.
Which brings me to what i wanted to say. I think who her master is matters a lot. Like almost to an anakin degree. Like if she gets someone who doesn't connect with her on a personal level, she's gonna fall to the dark at some point. If she gets a master who can work with her, without making her feel confined, i think they could have a really positive impact on her almost to the point where she could develope into a very compassionate and thougtful person. Not like peak thoughtful lol i agree there but still like she could definietly be good with the light. I'm just trying to think of a master who could allow her to blossom that way. Qui gon is the easy go to. Maybe Luke? Anya herself? though she doesn't have the best track record. But i stick by what i think, that the right master could do wonders for zannah. Last bit, you mentioned she could be a good agent, i wonder if she'd make a good spy or double agent like tholme. With her sneaking into the temple(i know it'd have to function different if she was on the light side) but i could see her role as a jedi being very out there, in the thick of it trying to learn classified info or so on.
I do LOVE the idea of her being really good support though, intuitive battle meditation like you said. That's a really compelling idea to me and i'd love to see a character sort of do that. Like bringing out the best in others sort of thing.
I would like to see a lightside Marr, also he felt like he truly care about the empire first power second.
Vayiln she another one that be good to see in a lightside perspective.
Mace Windu just because Mace Windu.
I feel like Mace Windu would wind up similar to Kar Vastor, especially if the Jedi didn't find him.

Aye always wondered about her going to the dark side saying as she was the orders "Dark Jedi" who dealed with teaching all the trouble padawans.
K’Kruhk, Rahm Kota, Kit Fisto and Shaak Ti for light side and I don’t really have any dark siders atm, also I agree that An’ya would be very in line with Traya and I’m glad you guys did her as I feel she’s kinda under appreciated.
First thing I thought of for a dark Jaina was Vaylin from SWTOR. Super deadly enforcer loyal to no one but her brother
I think there is a bit of a discrepancy between the Jedi vs Sith comic where Zannah is portrayed as a very lively and pure child, before just snapping in the end and the books, where she comes of as a bit more wicked and cold-blooded. She is probably a bit like Depa Billaba where she is too empathic and because she was a kid, she snapped faster after feeling all the pain and rage at Russan.
I'd love to see classic Maul as a Jedi. He'd be a badass. I still wanna see Lumiya as a light sider, or Palpatine. Yoda as a dark sider would be interesting too.
Maul would make an awesome Windu apprentice
44:31 it’s funny that you mentioned that because TCW Maul reminds me a lot of Darth Nihl in the legacy comics. Ambitious, Scheming, wants to be the big bad but gets put in his place by the characters above him ( Sidious and Vader for Maul, Krayt and Wyyrlock for Nihl) your completely right in your comments that this is simply about taste and Your for the most part respectful. I personally enjoy canon as much as Legends Maul, but part of that has to die with the fact that Canon has made it clear that Before the the duel of fates Darth Maul was essentially just as you described; a living weapon and born hunter , cunning and ruthless and who loves being a Sidious weapon, though at the same time frustrated that he was held back from his “destiny “ of destroying the Jedi by Sidious. They showed that Maul resented Sidious almost as much as he respects/ fears him. I liked that in TCW they tried to evolve Maul for the most part ( except for the tattoos, those are SITH TATTOOS DAMN IT!!!! Fuck anyone who says different!!!!!) though I admit to not liking the son of dathomir comic ( seriously, I totally believed Maul wanted power to prove himself to Sidious and totally aligned with his character, but no they just made him do it all for his mom. At least I felt something when Maul watched savage die, they at least had two seasons together ( instead of 5 scenes). But anyway I’m rambling . I Like TCW Maul, but I understand why other people don’t, and I can even admit that TPM Maul is a superior character.

Cause again, all of these i think would make great stories and characters like even imagining their actual canon self didn't exist, these would still be cool. And i'd love to see a character like you've described for her. Cause you're right she wouldn't be exactly like Traya. So much of it would come down to what her goals would be. But i do think she could shift the tides of the galaxy on a grand scale. Like with her powers and intellect, she could topple governments with ease. It wouldn't take 1,000 years of careful planning. She could just hit targets at their weakest. Assassinate here, blackmail there, manipulate this person to do this. Like it's weird to say but she could almost do whatever she wanted and i don't know if she could be stopped. Actually, i don't know if anyone would know at all. Like she'd be completely anonymous. I could see her specifically operating to where her existance is just never known by literally anyone. Which would be terrifying. I would wonder though if this would ever possibly become like a weird sherlock thing. Like one of her machinizations is foiled, would she want to destroy her competition or would she almost want to leave it alone because the challenge is more fun? Like she'd almost yearn for a light side counter? idk. lol, i think it would be cool to see how she'd handle a rival.
Lightside - Yoda, Ahsoka, Kanan, Mace, Qui Gon.Dark Side- Sidious, Savage, can't think of anyone on top of my head. Maybe Suited Vader if he survived ROTJ while coming back to the light

On the Jedi side, I'd love to see Shaak Ti, Kyle Katarn, and again, Scout falling to the dark.
For the Sith: Sedriss, Lumiya, and Mara Jade if she'd started with the Jedi rather than as an Emperor's Hand.
Also: Darth Sunrider and Darth Fel is just incredible. There is genuinely no piece of content I've ever wanted more to see.

Dark side Satele would be horrifying. Definitely one to ascend to the Dark Council early, possibly in her 30s and last a good couple of decades ala Marr. In the vein of being able to manipulate her way to the top quickly as well as being able to destroy anyone in her way if necessary. Giving her already berserk style of Ataaru as a Jedi, she’d be a physical lunatic, I can see almost a Sidious style of berserker lunatic (except with more technical prowess than Sidious).. as for force powers... well... Darth Satele would just be a horrifying spectacle in the force, honestly, it would be so exciting to see her as a Sith, as it would An’ya as a Sith

I feel as though pre clone wars Maul would function as basically Agen Kolar, very loyal, not a lot to add to discussion, and if someone is disloyal, it doesn't go over well, TCW Maul is basically Anakin Skywalker, and Rebels Maul is Xanatos.
Dark side Kit Fisto, and Darkside Plo Koon?
The Sith already had a title for enforcers called Wraths of the emperor/Sith "Sword is essentially the Jedi equivalent"
There is actually a way to approach the personality of a Light Side Maul, and that's by looking at what Ray Park, the actor who played him, described him as. In summary, he approached him as a kind of darker, twisted version of Bruce Lee. He retains the skill, focus and especially the cockiness, but any sort of protective drive he had was just utterly replaced by a bloodthirsty brutality. So, something like Bruce Lee in his prime (perhaps Enter the Dragon era) would be the best way to go.
I think that Sateel Shan would have been a perfect rule of two Sith. As she is extremely powerful and her devotion to her order would make her absolutely perfect for Bane's line. The devotion to the Sith Order would be absolutely perfect for her to train her apprentice to become an absolute master. Where as other Sith I feel wouldn't.
Reti4 - I suppose, in many ways. For me she lacks that core spark of ambition though, she does her duty to the absolute nth degree, but with the Rule of Two Sith the drive and passion needs to come from within. I'm not sure she'd flourish in that environment the same as she would in a Dark Council situation.
Not as the culmination of the line, but I think as an early member of the Order like replace Zannah with her, and I think she would be perfect.
I disagree. The main thing with Satele is that she is all about the system. To protect the system and further it's ends. She needs to be part of a system to function and I think when she is not part of something greater and doesn't really know what to do she would just sit idle.

Heir of Caedus I mean you can basically play a DS Hero Of Tython, if you make it all the way to the most recent updates you can switch sides
Heir of Caedus it bothers me when people bring up SWTOR characters because they are unusable. You can’t estimate them because you yourself tell their story. You choose if they are good or evil. The type of lightsaber they use. Their lightsaber form. Like you can’t use them because their is no information on them.
I am a fan of both portrayals of Darth maul: the taciturn hunter and fighting machine who’s content as Sidious weapon and the ambitious warlord who’s trying to fill the hole in his soul with power. I view these as the same person but in different stages of their life after a traumatic event. And without Sidious to guide him it makes sense to me that he would try to act like Sidious to feel more in control These both work for me because I get the sense that they are tied to who he is. I believe if Sidious would take him back in TCW he would have jumped at the opportunity ( despite the son of dathamir comic) because that was the only time he was truly content with his existence. While I admit that I like TPM version better( and is probably a better version of the character), I still enjoy TCW Maul and the fact he got to be a real threat to the galaxy, Change is not always met with applause after all. Evannova95 even helped me better understand their differences with his TCW Maul vs Dookuvs Vader, and pointed out that his abilities are the same just how he uses those abilities is different. Like if Muhammad Ali went from his graceful rob a dope tactics to Mike Tyson brawler strength tactics. Still I get why some don’t like this version. It’s all about taste and it’s just not appealing to everyone.
In the actual SWTOR game there are human imperial NPCs who mention having Sith family. If you play as the Sith Inquisitor, the imp who helps you on Balmorra sends you to save his Sith son and mentions having a brother who’s a high ranking dark lord also. The only Sith who are prone to killing their non force sensitive kin are the actual Sith pure bloods, though even there are VERY rare exceptions like a boss you fight as the knight on Belsavis and a member of the diplomatic service who helps you as the inquisitor on Voss
And yeah, Theron isn’t force sensitive at all. He references it in the game of your PC asks who Bastila Shan is, and Theron says he’s surprised you don’t know, mentioning that “the name made it all the way down to me, even if the force didn’t.”
Jaina would have to be like Maul. A brainwashed weapon for a Sith Master.
What if you did a theory video based on Revan on if he was reaccepted into the Jedi Order and taught after Kotor?

A Lumiya-Jaina tag team would have been amazing. As for orders-Jaina followed orders remember she was part of a military hierarchy in the Vong war, and she killed Caedus directly on Luke and Kenth's orders.
Jaina would make a good sith agent or assassin and yeah an enforcer-someone who one doesn't want to attract the attention of.
A dark jaina would likely be obeying a caedus or palpatine sort of master-though she would not be a mindless drone and would most certainly exercise her own initiative.
An enforcer Jaina in a sith empire would be the sort of person everyone knows but also seeks to steer clear away from. And no one wants to be a target she's given.
Dath Vader, Count Dooku, Darth Malick, if they stayed/returned to the light, Quinlan Vos, Depa Billaba , Bastila Shan if they stayed/continued in the dark.
but that type of folks. people who have dabbled or been both going to the other one that they diddnt spend the msot time apart of. how would they CONTINUE. if they found the preference to continue in the light, or diddnt have the grace to pull themselves out of the dark.

I’d say Jedi Maul would be a lot like Agen Kolar ( very blunt in conversation , loves the thrill of lightsaber combat.) has a degree of mace windu ( has a bit of a temper, but uses it to further the goals of the light) and some anion Bandora ( a deep protective int it for his students) and otherwise I agree with your assessments.

Would a sort of Light Side Darth Bane be at all possible?
By that I mean someone who joins the Jedi order and performs some amount of root and branch structural changes on the same level as the Rule of Two did for the Sith.

I can see that, but the New Jedi Order is still far more similar to the Order of the Old Republic than the Rule of Two was to the Old Sith Empires in spite of them beginning in similar ways.
maybe its a reverse, the jedi lose the war, and Dessel takes an apprentice to go into hiding to rebuild in secret. but then quickly realises that if his order of the jedi get too big the sith will find them,

I think it's true, she wouldn't, be about ruling the galaxy she'd be more focused then that, on what idk but i could see her more as either the enforcer or rogue sith more than a mastermind. For Satele! Very glad to see that one too. I was actually wondering if given her lineage and power if she might end up as a hand of the emperor? Dark council is fitting though too and i like the idea that she'd have to struggle with people thinking it was just because of the family she comes from. That'd be a really interesting plot. You guys even said this like all of these so far have been really like, interesting story ideas. None of them would be "standard" jedi or sith, each one has some meat to it to make them a compelling character

My suggestions for further role reversals:
Plo Koon, Yoda, Kyle Katarn to turn to the dark side and Palpatine, Bane, Talon to turn to the light side.
I think Satele Shan would be more nuanced if she were a Sith. But I do like her, even if she is a straightforward Jedi. She puts the Order above family, and that's interesting to me. I also like her power set. Evan, I totally think she could defeat Yoda. But if she did kill Yoda, she would have died in the attempt. That's just my perception.
For dark siders: Marko Ragnos, Mother Talzin and Darth Bane.
For lightsiders: Luminara Undulee, Coran horn, Lord Hoth

I know this is all for fun and speculation but... I was thinking you guys could do more of a second round for this... like, maybe a more detailed speculation of how the fighting styles would change (I mean, that includes the previous episode and the ones that'll come after this), but then again that's mostly speculation and maybe impossible... I don't know, I like the idea of this and I guess I'll have to see what comes out of this when Jen and Antoine make an appearance, it's fun to watch you guys speculate as a group, and you guys do come up with interesting and fun things, for me particularly light side Xanna sounds pretty interesting and cool, and the idea so far it's still stuck in my head... might eventually do artwork of it... maybe, and that's the thing, it refuses to leave... in short can't get enough of this scenarios. :/
P.S.: Sorry I don't have suggestions for other characters or versus.
It's funny you guys bring up Jedi Maul. In the unreleased Battlefront 3 game there was going to be some "alternate timeline" stuff and some of them had Jedi Maul and Sith Obi Wan. There's even concept art for it.

Neither would have a chance against Yoda and Mace even with battle meditation. What makes it harder though is that Hoth isn't usable in the versus format. There's too little information to construct a fair objective breakdown of him.
Maul up tell Episode I is amazing. Maul in Clone Wars is hit or miss. Maul in Rebels (besides Twilight of the Apprentice) what are you doing bro?

I like cannon maul. While EU maul is a fucking badass and way cooler than canon maul, his lack of character makes me less intrested in his EU counterpart. EU maul himself isnt interesting, intresteing things surround him instead
I much prefer TCW Rebels Maul. His psyche was fractured by his defeat. He is so consumed with his want for revenge and need to prove himself. I think Maul is best read as a whole (ironically). To see him devolve from "Shadow Hunter" to scheming crackpot. He just wants to be respected because his mind and heart and spirit can only been fixed by death and retribution. I like him as a fully devout killing machine as well, but his turn after that is makes it so much more meaningful. But that's me.

I can't see how that could work other than him turning out as a Star Wars version of X-Men's Rogue.
How would a light side Palpatine work? I've always been interested in the idea of Palpatine being a Jedi (though his ambition that manifested from a young age might get in the way of that.)
I think he'd turn out similar to Anakin and eventually fall to the Dark Side due to his sociopathic tendencies. Though he would probably be a Consular and a corrupted Jedi diplomat over taking the path of a Guardian.
I don't think he would be similar to Anakin. Anakin is a servant and he needs someone to tell him what to do. Palpatine would be a lot more mentally independent. While Anakin is rebellious against the counsel he is just parroting what Palpatine thinks so it's more a case of him choosing sides than truly having his own opinion on the matter.
