There is only one original, DC5 forever!
Prefer the DC5 version -the BEST
I knew I wasn't the only one who liked the Dave Clark 5
I do too...
Always have. Always will. You are not alone sir. DC5 forever.
First time I ever heard a group ever doing one of their songs. Dave Clark 5 had a lotta hits.
Loved them since the British Invasion. I even married one. A Dave Clark. Not from the band.
i did too Loved Mikes voice
everybody who was listening to rock ‘n’ roll back then liked the Dave Clark Five records. notwithstanding Mike Smith’s great lead vocals, the group members were the marketing face of those great recordings, played by the best studio musicians of the day.
And please please let us not forget one of the greatest singers in Rock, Mike Smith.
OH what a band giving a tribute to the DC 5!🥰
One of the great tunes from the beginning of the British Invasion. And what an unexpected lineup on this performance! Thanks for this, Mr. Fogerty. 🎸
Man, if that doesn't bring a smile to your face.
Legends paying tribute to one of the greatest bands in rock history.
And what would that band be?
@@anonymusum Dave Clark Five
I’ll never tire of seeing John Fogerty, but seeing Joan with the same swagger as when I saw her in the 80’s makes me smile
She was hardly in the video
@@thehobo54 jjuujj 777777777
I saw Joan about a year ago.. still plenty of swagger.. !
GSD fan saw Joan last summer @darien lake
@@stevemoran835 thank God for that
I love being a Baby boomer. Best century of music.
You so right
Absolutely Shelia
YOU KNOW IT !
Getting up every morning and hearing another great song just released by mostly The Beatles but then their hits like this one.
Our generation invented the rock and pop band format. No horns or strings. Guitars, bass, and drums, sometimes keyboards. Today's culture follows sampling/auto-tune douchebags with no talent. I give you post malone as exhibit A.
Pure Magic. For 4 minutes, at least, the mess of a world we've created, simply disappeared..
My favorite band of all time. I wasn’t around in the 60’s when they around I just turned 60 in June. A great band!
This performance just makes you "GLAD ALL OVER"! Love these guys!!!
What a Super Group! Love seeing Will Lee and the band singing backup vocals having a blast.
The 2 John’s, Billy, and Joan are still the best. Party 🎉😝😎👍🇺🇸
Dave Clark 5 were so great 👍👍👍
Yes they were, Martin.✌️
Incredible one hit wonders riding the coat tails of The Beatles. Glad All Over was a fun song but DC 5 was weak as hell overall
DC5 had a few hits." Because" was a great pop tune. BUT...Have you ever seen a video of DC5 playing live. (There are none, they only lip synced)
@@seldomseensavage3459 Any Way You Want it. Not the Beatles but far from only one hit.
lmnop otay each one less popular than the previous “hit”, until they just had to disappear. Anyway, I’m from somewhere you obviously wouldn’t understand so,
don’t let my opinion bother you. Hit(s) or not, I heard em all & they never matched the strength of Glad All Over again
John fogerty is so cool he just blends in all kinds of music
Yeah that's a great collaboration.
indeed
Love going back to real music.
Long live Dave Clark 5 !!!
I TRULY LOVE when "modern" artists (now in their 60's, 70's) do my FAVORITE songs from the 1960's !!! Scream out if you agree !!!! Remember transistors ???
I think I'm too young to remember transistors. I do vaguely remember a huge tape recorder. What with me being Czech, there wasn't that big a gap between that and a CD player (and the first CCR records to enter the household), just a couple years...
@@beth12svist They were a very small (hand held) radio operated by a 9 volt battery that had transistors (early 1960's) in stead of microchips - way cool - google Transistor Radio images ....best always, Phil
First transistor radio....you bet I remember. It was a dark burgundy and cream colored Mitsubishi with a 9V battery.
I live for transistors.
Rich Santoro In the Midwest, KOMA AM radio out of Oklahoma City ruled the airways in the 60’s and 70’s. Played on a lot of transistor radios then!
My buddy Dane Clark killing it on drums!
They are fantastic! Glad I'm a baby boomer! We did have the best music EVER!
Amazing. Dave Clark Five hit. America latching on.
Yep,the best music ever!
Those were groovy times! Wish I could go back for a day!
You are so right!

What a great tribute to the Dave Clark Five, one the many British Invasion bands from the 1960’s with the Beatles. I am sure these great singers remember them growing up. . Thank you for playing this music.
Sure.
Not just one of many... Right there with the Beatles and stones... 17 albums in 3 years... 12 top 40 hits in 3 years... A record 18 times on ed Sullivan show.
Beatles in a class of their own but DC5 solid representatives of the next level down from these immortals@@timhoovermusicman
@@thomashutton1963I agree the 5 could kick out the jams... But this is about British invasion bands...
John M., in his 80s, my dad lived with me during the last years of his life, and one of my happiest days was introducing him to UA-cam. He loved your dance moves, and CCR, and was so excited to watch the videos, especially Proud Mary and Green River. He also loved the Dave Clark Five and Billy Joel, and so many others from “my” generation. We sang along! Thank you for making him happy, and me, too. 😉
You're a good woman!!!🎶
@John Mellencamp The best music ever, 60s and 70s, though I do like a lot of songs from the 80s and 90s. Thank you so much.
@@lynfoster2484 Your original post is very moving, Lyn, and I applaud your salute to later generations of musicians and listeners. It's all cool.
@@JBGJBGJBGrn Lately, I have been asking people what kind of music they listen to, especially young people. I was at a Cd Warehouse recently, and the young clerk introduced me to the Backseat Lovers, an indie rock group. I love them! Now my flash drive is filled with music from the 20s, all the way up to today. I’m thrilled!
Together with 'Bits n Pieces' two of the best tracks to drum along to. It used to drive my Mum mad when I did. RIP Mum, I wish you were still here to tell me to 'STOP TAPPING'.........!
Well this is 3 in one. I like all 3 . Who couldn't like them .
DC5 seem "forgotten" in the history of 60's music. Sad. Awesome tribute here!!!!!!
There's no replacing the singing chops of the great Mike Smith on this classic.
Excellent. I’ve always loved this song. It makes me feel an even stronger kinship with all of those phenomenal stars on that stage. Perfect.
I couldn’t say it any better than you. I So enjoyed this. Excellent!
Bravo ! Hard 2 believe everyone on stage was in their late 60's early 70's !
So great to hear these folks do a Dave Clark Five hit and do it so well. It makes me "Glad all Over. " Keep rockin!!!
The Dave Clark Five were huge in the sixties but do not get their due. Good to see it with these guys on stage that grew up with them.
Didnt they only have 2 or 3 hit songs??
@@motorcitymanman7711 8 Top 10's on the Billboard Hot 100

Really?
I only remember like 2 or 3 songs.....have to check em out.
DC 5 had 9 songs in the top 40. Dave cheated the band, had a studio drummer play on the recordings and was an all around jerk,
@@beatlebuick
Bob Seger used the Muscle Shoals Alabama studio musicians to record his albums.....pissed off his Silver Bullet Band but nothing they could do.....thought that was shitty of him.
I’ve never seen Mr. Mellencamp have so much fun
The Tottenham Sound! As Dave Clark Five were described by the British press. Great homage to a superb song.
Kick-ass! DC5 deserves to be in, and a great salute by some of R&R's best! Love Joan Jett - straight outta Rockville!
That song rocked in 60s and still does today what a great choice for a party.
A fabulous version of a real song from an era when music was just that, music!!!
John fogerty I’ve been listening to you since the 60s you were amazing then and your still amazing now. God bless you my friend. 🎶 💿
I'm with you Donald!
Moi aussi!

A lot of star power on that stage!! Love it!!
Very underrated band of that time. The dc5 had a lot of great Tunes and very original stuff.
SIMPLY AWESOME. THIS SONG, WRITTEN BY THE "DAVE CLARK 5" WAS WRITTEN IN 1963... I WAS 7 YEARS OLD, AND FELL IN LOVE....THE 60S WERE THE BEST....
Great song written by Ron Ryan
Remember the original very well. Dave Clark was great in the 60s. Nice to hear someone digging up this old tune.
I'm glad I stumbled across this clip - Joan Jett rocks :)
Music is what keeps you eternally young! Rock isn't dead.
Phenomenal tune - and a way underrated super GROUP - DC5!
This song was sung at their induction into the Hall of Fame. To Hanks made an amazing speech about them
SIMPLE SONGS THAT STILL KNOCK THEM FOR SIX TODAY.THE MAGIC OF THE 60S.
so glad to see a stage full of u s talent doing a brit song makes you feel proud.
A great tribute to the very talented group the Dave Clark Five.... Mike Smith must be the greatest vocalist of the "British Invasion" .
Always liked Dave Clark Five. We have to keep this music alive. So many songs in the past are better than music now. Saw you Dan in Laughlin years ago in an outdoors concert. ✌👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Four of my faves on stage together doing one of my fave 60's songs, superb......
Amazing how a person can feel just by listening to a song (from decades ago). Thanks guys, it was a nice walk down memory lane!
Finally! A dave clark tune thats not lip synced
Ancient song....given the treatment of serious players...priceless...How can you not be.....glad all over
The ultimate dad band.
DC 5 was my first LP, I was 13 and it was 1966. I took it to every party , Still a great Dancemusic!!!
Dave Clark Fuve were one if the best from the 60s...Great song...
How could anyone be in a bad mood after this... 😎💞
I'm Glad all over having seen and heard this. Just great and what memories of the Dave Clark Five. This is a wonderful performance!
What a great line up, always loved John Fogertys CCR great tribute to the Dave Clark 5 one of the best bands of the 60s can still see them now in their line playing this,
John Fogerty and John Mellencougar are so hot. They are still rocking!! Don't stop now! They are so handsome. I love them. ❤️🌹❤️
Always love seeing people out of their usual element!
This was a pleasant surprise. I was a big fan of the DC5.
Mellencamp looks very good here!! ❣️
Such a high energy song...impossible not to move to it. And this performance was FOURTEEN years ago! With all mankind is capable of, sadly, there's one thing he'll NEVER be able to do...stop time and that sucks!
All the champs together 👍
So good to see Joan Jett on stage with the rest of the artists. I like her. A lot.
If you are of a certain age, like these musicians are, then you wore this Dave Clark 5 record out when you were young. They played this song when they were in their first bands and still playing it!
Great song to do the pony to ❤
Im glad I grew up when I did, 60s of Beatles, Rolling Stones, Beach Boys, these guys--70s Chicago, Boston, Queen etc etc
What a fun performance., great tune so much greatness on that stage!♥️✌️
I saw the DC5 in person when I was 15. They were awesome!
I have Dave Clark 5 with 50 of their greatest hits on 2 cds. Best deal I ever got.
SO GLAD AND NOT SAD - ON RADIO SUTCH 1964 - BIG IN THE UK BUT EVEN BIGGER IN THE USA - THE DAVE CLAK FIVE -
they used session players all the time .They were like the Monkees.Next you’ll try to convince people that Herman and the Hermits are worthy.
Hell I'm 81 been listening to this stuff for ever... And still loving it
Time. If you don't take your time it won't wait.
YaY! Applaud along with You. Glad All Over Again and Again and Again... So Glad You share what You've said. Made Me Glad All Over as You got happiness started Here so undoubtedly are My Inspiration for ToDay! Thanks!!!
Brilliant to see this group of guys doing such a great cover of this iconic song. Dave Clark 5 were so c0ol back then ❣
I was in 3rd grade and kept singing this during recess! I now have been a guitarist for 45 yrs.
I'd pay to get in to that Black Tie Affair, just for this group.
Loved The Dave Clark Five.
The DC5 were a class act. They came out in blazers and dress slacks.I loved their music. That entire British Revolution in music was a great chapter in our lives.
Where is the Rock & Roll talent today?
A ton of talent all together, wow. Loved seeing the piano man.
I was 'glad all over' when this version of the song was done....
What a gravy tune...British bands in the 60s forever

Great to hear wonderful Icons from the past having fun and really treating us to fun music.
Wow! Music with a thumpin' beat and great vocals....Can't go wrong on a diet of this!
Fogerty, Mellencamp and Joel. There’s a lot of hit songs written in that group. Joan holds her own as well.
She ruined the video by being there
