I just love John Fogerty and ZZ Top!!! My father was a HUGE CCR fan. I am proud to say that my father introduced me to John Fogerty at a very early age. Now I'm 50 and I still love John Fogerty.
If Stu Clifford and Doug Cook could see this, wonder if they still regret demanding that John let them write songs and hes rocking out with ZZTOP post disbandment following that disastrous Mardigras album where they wrote half the songs?

Amen to that brother! Creedence Clearwater Revival is still one of the most valuable pieces of my cd collection...that's what I call rock 'roll! And John is still going strong today...what a guy! Had the pleasure of seeing him in concert in...1998 I think it was in Norway, oh boy was that an experience of a lifetime! :)

Hey, dude, same here, in nowadays Serbia but then it was Yugoslavia Europe. Fogerty was magical mystical for me, but ZZ Top designated my youth, life and present. All that in socialist country, because we did not belong to eastern Warsaw block.
I’m 80 & they are still the best with music & life style .
These are some of the hardest working musicians on the planet and John Fogarty is one of the modest!

Going back to basics wins hands down! Pure talent & no frills is what lasts. Have loved the sound of CCR/John Fogerty & ZZ Top for decades. Their music lifts & speaks to the inner soul.
I don't know,... But thats the way a professional and truly gifted musician does it. I once heard Fogerty say as he addressed the crowd in England,... "Glad to be back here in your wonderful country, & I'm not big on speeches, I'm here to rock n roll and I'm gonna get to it!" LOL
So much rock n roll history. I really hope that today's generation understand that these two guys were a couple of pioneers of music still with us......

My mind is blown seeing these two together, they are two of the greatest frontmen/singer-songwriters of their highly acclaimed and greatest rock bands of all time. Two of the great guitarists rock and roll has ever had!! All I'm thinking is CC-TOP! 😂

Seeing John Fogerty and ZZ Top in concert for the Blues and Bayou tour was one of the best decisions of my life. Such an amazing concert my mom and I will never forget.
My son and I went to see them it CT. It was my third time seeing ZZTop live. They were awesome together. It is such a shame it will never happen again.

I will be 69 in July and these two remarkable artists, together, just totally made my day to see. I never saw John Fogerty but sure loved him, and have seen ZZ Top twice, the last time was their 50th Anniversary tour at my State Fair last August, 2018. I’m always singing and dancing along. Which is good, cuz I need exercise these days. Peace.

Saw ZZTop on their first ever European tour at ROCKPALAST 1980 in my hometown Essen without knowing who they were. I was 17 and since than a fan.

The pure energy on that stage. I have seen amazing artists, guitarists, etc. live, but its something about when they are having fun on the stage and that energy hits the crowd. Been to a few concerts that have been like that. It is an amazing thing without a doubt.

Two ACTUAL Living Legends . Mr John Fogerty and Mr William (Billy) F Gibbons , on Stage together . It does not get any better than that .
Just love finding videos like this. I was 13/14 when first seeing Creedence twice (one of the few bands with enough hits they didn't stretch their two hits into unrecognizable 15 minute jams - just like ZZ Top, who I'd also seen), and after a decent career in music, I was lucky enough to have gotten a half hour guitar lesson from Billy at lunch, who was doing voice-over work on the Power Rangers, where I was art directing. Most laid back, easy going and kind a guy as you might expect.
I've loved CCR and ZZ TOP since I was a kid. This is awesome.

As an aside, I enjoyed seeing Billy’s occasional appearances on the TV show “Bones”.
I have loved Fogerty's playing since "grapevine"...and his writing...my God...he wrote riffs, melodies and lyrics...from that turbulent era....that might as well be Stephen Foster...or even Dylan. They are part of the American musical tapestry now...Gibbons was a prince, this was delightful...great to hear Fogerty on someone else's tune....

Fogerty is the ultimate showman. Had the privilege of catching him at the Palace in Louisville about 8 years ago. Played for 2 1/2 hours with no breaks. What a fucking show!

Had the great privilege of seeing this live from the first row at The Joint at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa. Even though technical difficulties delayed the show over an hour it was a dream come true. Memories from 1969 and an 8 track blasting out the Chronicle album.
The best part about classic bands from the 50's to the 70's is that they age like a fine wine, gettin better with age.

Billy Gibbons is such a musician's musician. The first thing he does when he walks out on stage is credits the band and then makes sure that Fogerty's guitarist gets a couple solos.
