What a gentleman! Look at his first expression, finesse and happiness! Wish I had the opportunity to talk to Mr. Berry. An absolute legend. He isn't among my favorite singers, since I'm more of a Metal man, bu _he's_ history, and history is the reflection of truth.
If you're a Metalhead, you gotta put Blues, and Rock n Roll singers among your favourites, 'cause they're the forefathers of Heavy Metal, they've put the pillars of Metal music.. If there was no Blues, no Rock n Roll, Heavy Metal wouldn't have been born.
@@ZechsEl Correct. Johnny Cash is, most certainly, among my favorites. Cash, James Brown, Ray Charles, impressive talents. I'm more of a Metal man, however, it's difficult to meet _the_ requirements to be among my favorites. To use Manowar as an example, _The Crown & The Ring and Gods of War. Good albums, but, not even closer to perfect._
THIS IS ROCK AND ROLL!!!! Chuck is having so much fun. He brought the fun and joy to playing music. Everyone is so stiff now and so worried about everything being “perfect” for whatever reasons. But chuck just got up there and did his thing, sang his song out loud, “played his guitar just like a-ringing a bell”, and we all love and adore it still to this day. RIP Chuck, you are the greatest.
@TheBradge Amazing, is there a video of that ? It went downhill very quickly, in 2013 he could barely play anymore. I remember seeing a video of a concert in Russia and really wasn't sure it was a good idea to get tickets for his concert in Paris in May 2013...and then it got cancelled so that took care of the problem.
I have never been a big Springsteen fan, but it's so charming to see his enthusiasm when he was looking at Chuck Berry. That's a man who knows respect for the past.
I'm a huge Springsteen fan, and I love how he honors R&R history by playing with legends from the past and sometimes doing one of their songs at a concert
Bruce has said many times that were it not for Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis he would have been working the wharf.Have seen him play with Jerry Lee and he looks at him the same way he does Chuck.See him and Jerry Lee at hall of fame
I'll never get tired of seeing Bruce's face and attitude in front of an youth idol for him as Chuck Berry. A mix between admiration, devotion and happiness. I admire Bruce' modesty when he's beside a monster of rock like Chucky!
Take a moment to appreciate the look of admiration for Chuck on Maxs' face as he's drumming away. Everyone on stage knew how special this performance would be.
So right. Imagine that : After Chuck, The Stones. After the Stones, Aerosmith. After Aerosmith, Guns and roses. After GNR, Green Day... It's just an example of a logical suite. I didn't forget Beatles, Yardbirds, Led Zepp... I wish it will be like that forever and ever.
Elvis this, Keith that... FFS, if you want to really know who would be the real King of RNR, put all these people into a single band and then tell them their amps or pianos are not dialed in. Who will be the king then, boy??
Chuck berry is the real king of rock n roll, what an absolute professional. You could see Bruce in awe, he knew exactly how great of a moment it was to be on stage with this guy
Mark T Very true Bruce Springsteen is way over rated. I don't know what the big fuss is they make over this guy .He had some ok tunes in the 80's "born in the USA" dancing in the dark , but they made him out to be some mega rock star or something. Naaaa
In 1973, my college roommate went to see Chuck Berry and he came back raving about the Springsteen and the E street band that opened for him and backed him too. We'd never heard of them before.
I remember back in 1990ish we went to see Megadeth and some band called Alice In Chains opened for them. Everyone was like "Who?". LOL.. amazing what happens.
I cannot even imagine what it would be like to not just meet someone you idolized growing up but actually playing with that person. You can see the joy and awe in Bruce's face.

I'm listening ❤ . All of our great musicians are old😢. No one can touch these guys. Thank you for great memories.
The smile on Bruce Springsteen's face is priceless
He smiling like a kid in a candy store I would too if I ciould play along side with a king long live the king
Brought him right back to a kid learning to play Chuck in his bedroom. How amazing.
Because he's jamming with one of his idols lol
"La sonrisa en la cara de Bruce Springsteen no tiene precio" Totalmente de acuerdo My friend.
i would have given anything to have been in bruces shoes then
Bruce won me over! that day!... Respect your elders and from where real Musicians come from!!!!!! Chuck you'll live for ever!
Bruce Springsteen is just like: "OH MY GOD, I'M WITH A LEGEND!"
Bruce and the pre-E Street Band opened for Chuck when they was just starting out.
Bruce was the Same when he Played with Roy Orbison in Black & White Night. He just admires fellow Artists that are Unique. Appears to be a Very Humble man !!! Better than the Diva's we have today
@Olli Koskiniemi Right
Holy moly. How did I get so lucky that this showed up.
Yes in deedy doo I'm as awe struck as Bruce and everyone else to see Chuck and EveryOne else on that stage.
We're going nuts at my house.
Whew
Bruce can't stop staring at his idol playing like a god of rock n roll
Do you reckon he still has the video tapes of women taking a big 💩 remember 👍
What a moment for him when he was able to play the last part of the solo
Bruce is looking at Chuck like he is taken back to school.... full of admiration :) love it
Bruce and the band Having one of their best days ever .With the legend himself..Mr Chuck Berry.💯
Exactly, An unforgetble Day...

Unreal! Wish I could have seen Chuck Berry live, one of the all time rock n roll greats and what a guitarist
You can see the awe in Bruce's eyes. Appreciating the legend of Chuck Berry.
Sean Stevens *Its just a act dude. Bruce played with him as he was coming up. Nothing wrong with it. These guys are professionals. They know their place most of the time. Showbiz.
George Costanza shut the fuck up bruce Springsteen is none of what you just said in fact he is the complete opposite everyone has their say about political issues but you obviously can't understand that you fucking moron
Sean Stevens he's Lovin every bit of it
Niranjan Paul Springsteen. has played with him many times before. Do you think he really still gets a boner when playing with Berry ? or is he just good at he his job?
It's a show but not Showbiz like the movies, Springsteen has the respect for Berry, people like Berry were the pioneers that's why he's with BS on stage
How he performed was LEGENDARY, the intro the duck walk to the ending, all just amazing.
and he was almost 70 years old at this point!
I thought he was doing a facsimile of the duck walk at first; which was probably due to his age. I wouldn't blame him.
But then he swung around and did it. And it was awesome.
The world will never find another person like this. The look Bruce gave Chuck It's like watching Grandpa perform. The same eyes that Bee gees saw clearly, the same line as John Lennon, also referring to Julian Lennon. will miss the great Mr. Chuckberry. King of Rock'n'Roll 🇹🇭
Agree, CHUCK DUCK WALKIN BERRY, The one and only absolute LEGEND.........
I heard Chuck from afar saying "Go Johnny go!" and I'm here for it! Listening from Peru in 2024!
Chuck doing the duck walk was the shit!!!!! That moment in time cannot be topped:) Crowd went nuts:)
The Boss can't take his eyes of Chuck. He's so enamoured to be on stage with his idol. It almost brings me to tears. This is what humility looks like.
😂 1:56
Who's the Real boss?
Wow imagine standing next to Chuck Berry and he smiles at you whilst doing his signature duck walk whilst playing that sick intro..... I would faint
Bruce was here to enjoy the show like anyone else, showing Chuk a look of respect as he's the iconic figure of Rock n' Roll of all time! 🥰😘😘😘
The admiring way Bruce is looking at Chuck is great.
If this doesn't put a big smile on your face, nothing will.
TRUE
I just love how the Boss sits back and admires a legend at work. Even at the end he didn’t want to step forward but let Chuck take the crowds energy. So so good
What a gentleman!
@@ZechsEl
Correct.
Yet, he stole this song from Calvin Klein.

I’ve watched this 10 times and get cold chills every time I watch it.
made me cry
Yup - watched 10+ times and it still makes me so happy that I cry
THIS IS ROCK AND ROLL!!!! Chuck is having so much fun. He brought the fun and joy to playing music. Everyone is so stiff now and so worried about everything being “perfect” for whatever reasons. But chuck just got up there and did his thing, sang his song out loud, “played his guitar just like a-ringing a bell”, and we all love and adore it still to this day. RIP Chuck, you are the greatest.
Absolutely, very well said John.
yes back when rock and roll was actually fun
Yes man
Chuck Berry, Bruce and the whole E Street Band together is a dream. Especially now.
The fact that Chuck was 69 and still was able to do the duck walk just shows how godly he is
Good point, I wonder when he did it for the last time ? His last in shows in 2013 (?) were an embarrassment though...
He had a very interesting life so to speak
Something was very special about Chuck. God among men.
And still an incredible voice
in this concert he was 68 years old. I hope to have this energy when I am this age.
@@docas06 why?

He's a troll ignore him
I have never been a big Springsteen fan, but it's so charming to see his enthusiasm when he was looking at Chuck Berry. That's a man who knows respect for the past.
I'm a huge Springsteen fan, and I love how he honors R&R history by playing with legends from the past and sometimes doing one of their songs at a concert
He’s with GOD!!! 😇👍🏻😜😎🎸🇺🇸
Bruce has said many times that were it not for Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis he would have been working the wharf.Have seen him play with Jerry Lee and he looks at him the same way he does Chuck.See him and Jerry Lee at hall of fame
I am watching, i can't stop listening such Wonderful Music. ❤
I'll never get tired of seeing Bruce's face and attitude in front of an youth idol for him as Chuck Berry. A mix between admiration, devotion and happiness. I admire Bruce' modesty when he's beside a monster of rock like Chucky!
Totally agree !!
Facial expressions say it all the Boss so down to earth.

He's giving Chuck the exact same attention he demands from his band.
Take a moment to appreciate the look of admiration for Chuck on Maxs' face as he's drumming away. Everyone on stage knew how special this performance would be.

THE LOOK OF NOT ONLY MAX, FROM BRUCE HIMSELF, THEY KNEW THAT THEY HAD A MASTER WITH THEM
The Boss meets the King. What a great performance.
Elvis was the King, not Berry...
@@Keep-on-Rockying There's only one king, BB King
Elvis this, Keith that... FFS, if you want to really know who would be the real King of RNR, put all these people into a single band and then tell them their amps or pianos are not dialed in. Who will be the king then, boy??
Elvis was the king. The end.
I got to see Chuck and Little Richard on a double bill around twenty years ago.
Small venue.
AWESOME!
When Bruce is looking at you in amazment, you're truly great
Johny must be good. Chuck a true legend.
look at bruce man hes like a kid at Christmas 👊🥰
Yeahh
The audience was so lucky to watch these music legends wish i was there.
Chuck berry is the real king of rock n roll, what an absolute professional. You could see Bruce in awe, he knew exactly how great of a moment it was to be on stage with this guy
Is incredible the expression of Bruce, looking both entertain and astonished.
Indeed, Bruce traveled in it singing and enchanting
More like in awe..
I would be.
Probably "Pinch me I need to see if I'm sleeping"
You would have to be, Berry started it all.
That's because Bruce knows he will NEVER be as cool as Chuck Berry no matter how much he tries. Springsteen is way overrated!
Mark T Very true Bruce Springsteen is way over rated. I don't know what the big fuss is they make over this guy .He had some ok tunes in the 80's "born in the USA" dancing in the dark , but they made him out to be some mega rock star or something. Naaaa
that is why the places is packed.. not an empty seat..
Watched this countless times and it still gives me chills down my spine every time
Same here my brother. ❤❤❤
And me. Forget Elvis, Chuck started it all.
In 1973, my college roommate went to see Chuck Berry and he came back raving about the Springsteen and the E street band that opened for him and backed him too. We'd never heard of them before.
ufff is true excelent
I remember back in 1990ish we went to see Megadeth and some band called Alice In Chains opened for them. Everyone was like "Who?". LOL.. amazing what happens.
You are really lucky man.✌️✌️
So good to see a great musician ( Springsteen) admiring another great musician ( Chuck Berry ) .
I cannot even imagine what it would be like to not just meet someone you idolized growing up but actually playing with that person. You can see the joy and awe in Bruce's face.
+Andrew Is that true? I didn't know that, and I hope it's true. I'm a big fan of both.
loren A its an act, calm down. Bruce liked Elvis way better
+Andrew Power I apologize for just getting around to posting this. Ha, Chuck and Bruce on the same stage! I was going to swear, but pulled back. Dang!
These two can run the world 🌎 love it 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
