1. Don't sell your Discord account. 2. Apparently there are people earning the bug hunter badge and the golden bug hunter badge so the number of badges is more closer to 100-200 than 50. 3. I've been told that my prices are pretty high. I've also had people say my prices are too low for certain things. Generally speaking it seems like most people agree with the low-end of the price ranges of the badges. However with the different price modifiers (and the reputation of the seller), prices can climb past what people would want to purchase it for. At the end of the day, I'm trying to price something that is honestly worth nothing in my eyes. If I had to spend $1000 on Discord, I'd just buy nitro, not a stupid badge.

Can confirm. I have the early developer badge and I get about 2 people per week trying to steal my account. Thankfully I'm a programmer and thus see right through all of these scammers lol
Some Fun Facts about the Hypesquad Events Badge: Back when the Hypesquad Events was still a thing, for some period of time there were two versions of that badge, depending on when did you join the program. Current design was reserved for people that joined in what I'll call the original of first wave, where you had to actually record a video of yourself and tell Discord why you should be a part of Hypesquad. In exchange you got onto the special server and got some IRL Loot for free (a T-Shirt, some badges and stickers). That was circa 2016-2017 iirc. The second version of the badge was for the people who joined later on who AFAIK didn't had to record the video and didn't get the loot mailed to them. Their badge was white instead of orange and didn't have the star on the top.
I have an early supporter badge and I've only ever had one offer; some dude wanted to buy my account for $75. It amazes me that people spend the amount of money I'd spend to fuel my hobbies to an unorthodox level over a login...
Damn, If I knew a partner badge went for that much I would have sold my account when I got it. But I made so many valuable connections from when I had it so it kind of levels out

If I knew this was going to be some way to make money I woulda made like 100 accounts back in 2018 with their own respective emails or something. Getting $200+ just for the fact that the account has an early supporter badge seems bizarre.

Hypesquad events was actually just normal hypesquad bagde but you had to do a video interview with discord and they send you merch and swag and stuff for gaming events in person
I actually got some people shut down and fined for selling accounts because I let them take my account they sold it recovered it and got into their selling server and main website discord and record everything for about 2 weeks and sent it over to discord support they actually gave me free nitro for doing it too for "helping to protect the community" so this year is free for me.
did account age ever came into play when you researched how much these badges are going for? i'd imagine day 1 accounts going for a lot more than something like early supporter
Curious to know this too. I know some people who have mid-2015 accounts because that’s when the Mario Kart Wii community started transitioning from Skype to Discord
Came across a lot of individuals who would spend thousands on a badged account and unfortunately saw some who ended up getting scammed too weather they were the buyer or seller The highest amount I’ve seen an account get offered was 18k…unbelievable right?
I didn't even know my early support badge was rare or valuable. Still, I wouldn't sell it for a dime, to me those badges are just neat sure but it's just sad buying accounts for a small display on your profile.
there are good reputable people who do the active bot dev badge thing for free (done on an alt, going strong since december 2022, thanks jam), if you're paying for that then you are pretty damn gullible.
well, if you're asking people to do it for free there's just that slim 1% you're getting scammed. plus not every people have connections, and connection could be counter-productive, like ntts who is pretty damn reputable and once shared the method itself, and then discord 'fixed' it
And I just so happen to have both the early verified bot developer and early supporter badges The amount of people who've DM'd me asking to buy it is insane
Is the discord tag badge worth money? Probably not, but remember that you can't get it anymore, because it was given to accounts that were created before discord applied completely the change to usernames, so from now to like 3 or 4 years it will get it's own value, like that hypesquad badge

Also let's be honest, you won't get any girl on discord or nobody would say "You are so cool cuz you have a million badges". All people would try to do with you is to steal your account, putting yourself in a risk of being hacked.
My old Discord account was actually hacked and sold because of its Early Supporter Badge. I was able to contact the new “owner” of my account and he told me he bought it with Bitcoin and offered to sell it back to me. So instead I got the account terminated by Discord themselves despite him begging me not to report it. Sucked to lose my original account but the satisfaction of knowing that some idiot paid thousands of dollars for a stolen Discord account only to have it terminated was justice enough.

Can confirm. I have the early developer badge and I get about 2 people per week trying to steal my account. Thankfully I'm a programmer and thus see right through all of these scammers lol
that's weird, i haven't gotten a single DM since they implemented the "likely scammer" thing (and also developer communities suck ass)
@@lukecreator I mean that update reduced it from two per day to two per week so not bad

Some Fun Facts about the Hypesquad Events Badge:
Back when the Hypesquad Events was still a thing, for some period of time there were two versions of that badge, depending on when did you join the program.
Damn, I didn't know that. I got the OG one lol.
Didn't discord just ditch that plan? I always thought that they removed both of the badges from their owners.
@@herrscheroflustThey closed down the hypesquad Events aplications some time ago, but the badges stayed. Source: I still have mine :P
@@NishiYuuma I guess I was part of the 2nd wave. I had the one without a star, wish we could keep that one too lol.

Well would you sell it? I'd give you $50
Damn, If I knew a partner badge went for that much I would have sold my account when I got it. But I made so many valuable connections from when I had it so it kind of levels out
i have the early supporter badge and i get SO MANY dms about it asking how much id be willing to sell it for. i cant believe people would just sell their accounts like that… i have so much history on this account lmfao
I also have the early supporter badge
i never get dms abt my early supporter badge, maybe we jus in diff typa servers but yeah no way I'm selling my discord i have mfs on their i met in 2017 and hella old groupchats and convos i don't wanna get rid of

i have a french friend that has the early dev badge, the gold bug hunter badge, the hypersquad events badge and the early nitro badge and they got targeted.
The scammers acted like the french police calling him and asking him for their account credentials, i think they even sent real police to their house. Very weird stuff people make to get one of this accounts lol. The guy got his account back.
It's not always worth it to be different. Being mudane gets you unnoticed by creeps and dangerous people lol

If I knew this was going to be some way to make money I woulda made like 100 accounts back in 2018 with their own respective emails or something. Getting $200+ just for the fact that the account has an early supporter badge seems bizarre.
oof
they do need to have nitro tho.
you're talking like it somehow has quadratic value like bitcoin. it is not. and if anything, both will be a home to scammers in due time if people raise demand again
How much do they cost? Alot. How much are they worth? Nothing.
I use discord every day but didn't know anything about this, to me buying nitro itself is dumb but the things mentioned in this video is a hole another level
depends really, if ur a person who utilises discord as a part of your work life it often makes a lot of sense to have nitro, even if just for the bigger download sizes tm
I didnt realize people cared so much about badges. I happen to have the early supporter badge and never thought anything of it.
well early supporter badges werent hard its just limited and you'd think of it like the bot dev badge if it was pre 2018. at the end of the day, these badges are not worth anything
Because early supporter badges aren’t worth anything since so many people have it anybody selling it for high prices is just scamming beluga viewers
Hypesquad events was actually just normal hypesquad bagde but you had to do a video interview with discord and they send you merch and swag and stuff for gaming events in person
cool

i own most discord badges and i do not feel afraid in any way about me losing my account
I actually got some people shut down and fined for selling accounts because I let them take my account they sold it recovered it and got into their selling server and main website discord and record everything for about 2 weeks and sent it over to discord support they actually gave me free nitro for doing it too for "helping to protect the community" so this year is free for me.
Alright time to buy discord 🗿

Came across a lot of individuals who would spend thousands on a badged account and unfortunately saw some who ended up getting scammed too weather they were the buyer or seller
The highest amount I’ve seen an account get offered was 18k…unbelievable right?
I didn't even know my early support badge was rare or valuable. Still, I wouldn't sell it for a dime, to me those badges are just neat sure but it's just sad buying accounts for a small display on your profile.
the golden bug hunter badge was selling for $18,000 the other day
there are good reputable people who do the active bot dev badge thing for free (done on an alt, going strong since december 2022, thanks jam), if you're paying for that then you are pretty damn gullible.
well, if you're asking people to do it for free there's just that slim 1% you're getting scammed. plus not every people have connections, and connection could be counter-productive, like ntts who is pretty damn reputable and once shared the method itself, and then discord 'fixed' it

Imagine if someone spends like $500 on these stupid badges and then their account (that they buyed) will get stolen and they would come like crybabies to discord. Not to mention the guy who stole the account and the one who buyed the account would be banned. It would not be any loss to the guy who stole the account, but the one who actually spent so much money on those badges would realize he messed up real bad.
“Why are you paying this much money for a Discord account?” Have you seen the sales for the Pikachu Illustrator card?
