As for Belugang, I think it doesn't get partnership because the owner actually owns another server that is partnered. Idk really how partnerships work but it may be that (Turns out belugang is just bad)
As being a company of an Owner helping the community as clean as possible with balanced rules, yet, Partnership for both of us seem to be still far away While myself have been into 2 servers that sooo inactive that in the span of 2 months no members joined, the chat only active every 1 or 2 days, yet still keep their Partnership, hell, one server even have a Mod that has a history of scamming users inside their Discord server Saddest for me is they all in a likely dont care country, Vietnam lol
We had a 40k growing (53k at the end) community. Had thousands of "upgrades" (you know, those premium ones). So they've milked our users for subscribtions worth around 5-40k$. MONTHLY. And we aplied and got partnership. That is for a few weeks. Then they banned our server. So... never again. And if there will be alternative, we probably will jump on it first.
My brother was a discord partner and threw away his hoodie and then got his discord partner took away. It was the 2018 edition of the hoodie too. So really rare... sad
So far I have spent 3 years trying to get Discord to Partner with my Community, we've designed an entire network infrastructure around the entire community basis, our own bots, websites, game servers, everything. A solid 10,000+ hours has been put into working on the community from our entire team, and Discord still denies the application every time, it's pretty sad because if we had have been where we are now 3 years ago, we likely would have gotten a partnership.
I entered some associated servers and normally, they usually send messages as a welcome by the private one. So, you are greeted by moderators trying to help you and so on with each new member.
I know a bit of behind the scenes of trying to get an over 10k user server with a somewhat active community partnered, it is one of the biggest server of it's kind, yet still rejected
Lets imagine this. I have a Discord with the minimum requirements. Been denied 3 times. You said Discord looks for unique different servers. I coded my own features from leveling to a custom counting/solve-me system. From the UI in the embeds to the look of the channels, no one has done it like me. But yet still denied.
Just because your channels look unique and you custom coded features (done before) doesn't mean your Discord server as a whole is unique. You don't need all that because the community you're building/built and what unique offerings like say classes or community guides is what makes it stand out. A gaming Discord for example with cool formatting and custom features is not unique.
Bro I used to moderate a partner server and the strict rules thing is soooo true dude you literally couldn’t even react with C U M on an announcement or you‘d get banned lmaoooo that’s why I left that server shit was way too cancerous
That wouldn't get you a ban on mine, but I would be concerned that the reactor was under TOS age. Youngsters have to remember what community they are in, and try to keep communication appropriate to those around them. A subject matter server with a more mature audience can't just let kids run amok, or it drives away people over the age of 16/17 or so. We do a lot of growing up between 13 and 16/17, what is entertaining to 13 year olds is often banal to those the few years older. I had a great time and banter with my own kids at that age, but they also understood when enough was enough. Before the timeout feature my server had a "naughty step" role which worked the same way (server wide mute for x time), as a way to indicate that things had gone too far, but falling short of a ban. Our mod team is chosen for balanced maturity displayed over time, most have very good jobs (STEM) and have no reason to flex power on kids, they mod for the love of the subject matter and wish to encourage the young in that subject matter. How they moderate is not prescribed, we have bots to block the two worst swear words and to flag scam/spam accounts for mod review, we discuss more nuanced scenarios. We don't have an environment which encourages spamming sh*t however, roles are earned on merit rather than message count; such as being a helpful, friendly member of the community.
So fun fact - I have applied for partnership about 9 times! But I finally got my programming server accepted - My suggestions for new owners and old owners. Don't have those stupid welcome DM invites (When you join a server) Be active, you should have an active staff team and an active owner. If you dont have this very unlikely you will get partnership. As NTTS said, moderation is needed - My server has very high requirements for staff and because of this yes, we have staff in chat basically every hour. Welcoming - We have a bot which welcomes members right when they verify (Custom bot) and then we tell all staff to basically welcome them which normally active users also do. If you ever are on the edge of requirements I suggest not applying - This is what I used to do and I gave myself the reasoning "Well, I meet them so I must get it" NO! You will not get in if you are right on the edge, I suggest having a solid 5-6 "YES" marks for "partnership program" before you even think about applying. TLDR; Have a respectful community and learn from your mistakes - It took me 2 years and 7 months to get partnership and for most people it takes longer. If you have any questions my user is - Nick2020#4710 | I will also check replies :)
@@Burnt_Alive Whoever owns the server will get the partner badge and the partner perks - So normally when they come to review (to my knowledge) they will look into if the server owner (person who owns the server) is active and if the admin/mod team is active. If they see the owner of the server hasn't talked for 5 months, it is unlikely they will partner.
Oh holy shit… it is actually easier to get a verified Discord bot (i have one) and just applying for a verified bot is already the biggest nightmare. I spend almost 3 Hours alone on the application to get it right and then it took litle bit more than a month for the support Team to geht my bot verified. They wanted to close the support Ticket for my application because of inactivity and Discord was at the Turn two answer me. I got a litle bit mad and was pissed off at this moment and in my answer to this notification, I must have lost control a bit and subtly insulted them that they should get the fuck up their ass. The Discord Support team is absolute nightmare. I cant discribe it how shitty the support is.
I am an administrator on a server with DISCORD PARTNER owned by a content creator with 200k which I am really close to. Basically I've grown his server from the ground up from 2018 until 2020 when it was at its peak. He had and still has low to no clue how Discord works and didn't even ask for me to make his server partnered I simply asked him to let me take care of it and have been ever since. At first in 2018 he was making fun of me getting the server all shiny. He thought it would be useless and no one cares about discord. Not bragging or anything but I did all the work and made it literally exactly as NTTS is specifying that a server has to be like great interaction with new people, events like setup reviews from members, custom games for UA-cam members and all sorts of stuff. We got the partner somewhere in November 2020 or a bit earlier I am not sure. In any case I am pretty sure his server was the second Discord server to get partner in our country after the Regional Fortnite Community. The server was booming at that time it had around 13k active users and around 22k accounts joined. I must give in, I was moderating really heavily on the server. That's also because the people on the server were at the Discord TOS age limit and a lot of them say a lot of weird and not ok stuff. At that time I think the only members of the staff team were me and some friends I knew personally. I was basically taking ALL decisions on how the server was going to run, imagine like a firm where the CEO invests into networking and the Board is the one managing all the stuff. The reason why the staff was very efficient is because 1. I used strictly the bots which I though were worth it and made the job for the moderators as easy as possible, all the stuff that couldn't be taken out of context was being auto-moderated and all the contextual stuff was being flagged and then a staff member would look at it. Also one thing people should know, DONT MAKE 20000 staff roles... I still think that what we have is still a bit too much and is as follows : Helper in testing (this is how the translation would sound) ; Helper ; Moderator ; Head of Staff and Admin. Helper in testing is only allowed to delete messages and let higher ranked people know that something needs to be addressed. Helpers are allowed to kick people and Moderators unlock the ability to ban others. Head of Staff has basically the ability to manage the other members of the staff below them but do not have access to full admin permissions. What I recommend doing is only letting the administrator enroll new people and let the Head of Staff train and oversee the other staff. I am convinced that having a well set up server is the key to make the Discord employee accept the applications. Don't make 1.000.000 roles for members, make a level based hierarchy if you really want to but don't overdo it. It will make people be more active and also help you scout future staff members. As for channels, don't make a lot of them as well, only make what you really need otherwise it will look ugly and confusing to new people and they might miss on what actually matters. There isn't really anything else to be told. From experience what you really need is the owner to be a UA-camr that uploads and takes care of the "networking" and brings the people to the server and a group of people or a person to take care of the server. Even though the server had 25k people, there was 1 admin, 2 head of staff and 3 moderators. The chat was really active and people just got used not being rude to each other and if they were using a language and behavior that they shouldn't don't mute them instantly. The community will autoregulate itself to the point that only when a lot of people join, there is need for heavy moderation like channel lock, channel cloning and all that BS. I need both hands to count how many times we got bot raided by frustrated people who got banned. Sorry for this weird long paragraph I just wrote for no reason 4 weeks after this video went public. I am probably super weird for writing this like its a video tutorial or something like it. There is a lot more that has to be done to achieve Discord Partner but at least I can show what I have done to make it happen, and for a long time, (we got a bigger staff team right before the owner applied for Partner) I was alone doing all the moderation, channel setup yadi yada but we still made it work, so if for some reason you really want it, find a content creator with potential or in need for a manager/administrator and do something similar to what I did and it should work. I know there are more don'ts than do's but its because people are under the false misconception that over-moderation is needed and that you need to have a complex server and blah blah blah.
So a Discord partner server is basically a Orwellian 1984 style community. The few servers I can think of is virtually every "official" community servers (Forza Official, Azur Lane Official etc.) community server, and any server that claims that they are 13+ friendly.
tbh I don't agree that non-toxic servers are boring, like you're saying that banter and those things are what makes it fun. that's not true I actually find toxic servers very annoying and I just avoid it completely. there are a lot of non-toxic servers with high activity and it's fun. but the whole video is very nice I liked it
some of the shit ive seen on anime soul is mind bogglong, i laughed my ass of when you said family friendly and welcoming, and its a partnered server im talking about lol
I am admin on a partners server and the bad points is a bit over the top. Yes is hard to get. But when you get it they don't care that much what you do. Yes we are a family friendly server, but we don't have the strictest rules like you say in your video
What annoys me the most is this basic answer *"Due the high volume of applications, we're currently unable to provide any more detailed or specifics about the nature of your application."* Like man come on, at least tell me why I got rejected, I applied multiple times, and every time I got the same answer lmao
Can we get a video on the Discord Moderator Academy? I’m a paid discord admin, and as such wanted that badge just so I’d look more official lol. read and studied every single article, took the test and sent in my application, only to hear radio silence. Wtf is up with that?
this makes it even more sad that some servers I used to be in had mods that became fucking discord nazis, micromanaging every little aspect, adding ridiculous cooldown timers and banning certain memes because "they were trying to get the server partnered." Oh and the worst part, one of them was a gun server. Ain't no way in hell Discord is gonna partner with a gun server, owing to how all that is perceived these days.
My server is roleplay server that features a youtuber, but is not directly the fan server of said youtuber, which means we fit in neither of the partnership categories and cannot get accepted 😃

I myself own a 160k members server and i dont put tags in my server name but when i search up the tags my server focuses on (Nitro & Emoji - its called NiroMojis) i am way down, i remember over a year ago i was top #1 on Discover Nitro Tag. But now... its just a big mess.
As for Belugang, I think it doesn't get partnership because the owner actually owns another server that is partnered. Idk really how partnerships work but it may be that
(Turns out belugang is just bad)
Beluga doesn't really deserve it anyway tbh

I’m almost there, I don’t meet the requirements, but I do see I could be the next big thing with the next big server.
As being a company of an Owner helping the community as clean as possible with balanced rules, yet, Partnership for both of us seem to be still far away
While myself have been into 2 servers that sooo inactive that in the span of 2 months no members joined, the chat only active every 1 or 2 days, yet still keep their Partnership, hell, one server even have a Mod that has a history of scamming users inside their Discord server
Saddest for me is they all in a likely dont care country, Vietnam lol
Hurray, I'll never get cursed with actually being a partner with this cesspit!
Ayo NTTS is getting sponsored baby! noice
I am Discord partner because of the PoGO Raids Discord server, and we got accepted the third time we applied. over 3 years after starting the server.
My brother was a discord partner and threw away his hoodie and then got his discord partner took away. It was the 2018 edition of the hoodie too. So really rare... sad
I like the fact the video is 13:37 min haha good job
Whay does that number mean?
So far I have spent 3 years trying to get Discord to Partner with my Community, we've designed an entire network infrastructure around the entire community basis, our own bots, websites, game servers, everything.
A solid 10,000+ hours has been put into working on the community from our entire team, and Discord still denies the application every time, it's pretty sad because if we had have been where we are now 3 years ago, we likely would have gotten a partnership.
Would you mind sending an inivtation to your server?
So you're telling me that my advertising server is unique enough that made us get partnered? Oooo
I got the partner program 2 years ago, you have to know the psychology of your members to be able to maintain activity.
I entered some associated servers and normally, they usually send messages as a welcome by the private one. So, you are greeted by moderators trying to help you and so on with each new member.
I never thought being discord partner was glamorous. It's obv a drag
Well you see this is actually an elaborate plan to keep the queue to himself and force discord to make him a partner
This makes winning the lottery look like a cake walk
the *official* "discord" discord server doesn't have a partnership badge; that really says something about how rare a partnership badge is.
You think theyre gonna partner with themselves?
lmao loved the text on the stock footage
13:36 LMAOO 💀💀💀💀 the captions are something else.
You sound devastated, man...
alright, now you've convinced me that NOT having partnership is based
I know a bit of behind the scenes of trying to get an over 10k user server with a somewhat active community partnered, it is one of the biggest server of it's kind, yet still rejected
0:29 this voice crack is js so funny
needed the video..ty
Discord doesnt just look for family friendly, Misfits discord got partnered but they alow edgy stuff.
OMG bro fuck discord.... U deserve better
@@pikenote wanna be my frnd in discord?
The stamp on 2:18 says "public institution Arkham Asylum" lmao
Bro I used to moderate a partner server and the strict rules thing is soooo true dude you literally couldn’t even react with C U M on an announcement or you‘d get banned lmaoooo
that’s why I left that server shit was way too cancerous
We don't have an environment which encourages spamming sh*t however, roles are earned on merit rather than message count; such as being a helpful, friendly member of the community.
knowing theres a hoodie, i want to get parter 10x more
Just buy one
@@star_light143 ok but why spend 60 bucks when you can spend hours getting a hoodie!
That package is not automatically sent upon partnering. You have to request it (same deal with UA-cam play buttons).
Man really did an indirect shoutout to Sakura Onsen
Completely unintentional. I do not have the brain power to do that.
Partner requirements are being revamped in january, and insights are being worked on :)
Yeah, guess I've got to be as popular and as cool as NTTS 😔
Nice, you got a sponsor
You're an underrated youtuber.
So fun fact - I have applied for partnership about 9 times! But I finally got my programming server accepted - My suggestions for new owners and old owners.
Don't have those stupid welcome DM invites (When you join a server)
Be active, you should have an active staff team and an active owner.
If you have any questions my user is - Nick2020#4710 | I will also check replies :)
is it fine if you have a holder account for the server or would they think thats the actual owner?
I cant discribe it how shitty the support is.
ghet
My friend just got partnered yesterday 😆
Jesus Christ dude, could you at least learn what paragraphs are before you post a wall of literal nonsense?
1:20 is when the sponsor is over
That was great. Thank you.
Can we just appreciate how video length is 13:37 👀
can't wait for 2010 kids to miss the joke 🎃
So a Discord partner server is basically a Orwellian 1984 style community. The few servers I can think of is virtually every "official" community servers (Forza Official, Azur Lane Official etc.) community server, and any server that claims that they are 13+ friendly.
tbh I don't agree that non-toxic servers are boring, like you're saying that banter and those things are what makes it fun. that's not true I actually find toxic servers very annoying and I just avoid it completely. there are a lot of non-toxic servers with high activity and it's fun. but the whole video is very nice I liked it
you didn't have to rub it in...
some of the shit ive seen on anime soul is mind bogglong, i laughed my ass of when you said family friendly and welcoming, and its a partnered server im talking about lol
I am admin on a partners server and the bad points is a bit over the top. Yes is hard to get. But when you get it they don't care that much what you do. Yes we are a family friendly server, but we don't have the strictest rules like you say in your video
Cope?
I will never get Discord Partner.. but can I get NTTS partner? 👀
I just got it, literally moments before this video came out 😂
What annoys me the most is this basic answer *"Due the high volume of applications, we're currently unable to provide any more detailed or specifics about the nature of your application."*

it's one hell of a hole in there instead of "family friendly" lmao
this makes it even more sad that some servers I used to be in had mods that became fucking discord nazis, micromanaging every little aspect, adding ridiculous cooldown timers and banning certain memes because "they were trying to get the server partnered."
Oh and the worst part, one of them was a gun server. Ain't no way in hell Discord is gonna partner with a gun server, owing to how all that is perceived these days.
