Worth mentioning the Hydra mode can be set to buzz for upto an hour I think, not just 15 min. Also might be worth showing the set menu a d how to hide or show settings.
You may have the negative display model? I've never had any luck with those, they're virtually impossible to read. If that's not the version you have and it is like mine, a battery change is always a good place to start.
Sorry to hear you've had trouble. They're cheap watches and Indiglo is kinda fragile - I've had 2 fail. But that's the price you pay for technology I suppose.
Don't quite understand, the Timex Command Shock Digital CAT 54mm Watch is half the cost of the expedition yet other than a tiny change up on the front screen both watches are 100% identical in features and build. So why are you paying more for a watch instead of saving money? I know the display is inverted but still shows up nicely and looks great. Not to mention if you scratch yours depending on the angle of light or sun it will reflect the scratch to your lcd display.
To be honest at the time I bought this it was on special so it wasn't expensive. There are so many variations of these watches - I agree, buy the one that's the cheapest at the time 😊
Thanks very much for the review. I need a watch with big numbers so I can see them when in bed without glasses on, to this end I've been using cheap CIVO ones which work great. The size of this watch (and the look), made me want one but thanks to your review in which you measured the screen I now need not spend the money as my Civo screen is the same width which would make the digits pretty much the same size (but not as thick as the Civo. I think nearly £80 for aesthetic reasons with no difference in my ability to see it at night without glasses is a bit too much for me. But it was a very informative review. Thanks again.
@@WatchesKnivesEDC That's why I'm very keen to purchase it still. It looks like something out of a sci-fi movie. It would fit perfectly on the wrist of a character in the new Dune movie :D
I agree it is big but that’s why I bought it, I have a medical condition that affected my ability to easily read a watch face and I frequently have to go to the chemist and I have to fill in a small form. Because I have a brain injury my short term memory is absolutely useless and I always felt stupid because I couldn’t remember the day, date and year but this watch has changed all that to such a degree I bought a second watch as a back up when my original watch fails, plus I was surprised how quickly I got used to having a brick on my wrist. So sometimes big is beautiful.
That's a very good point - I couldn't have put it better myself. I think it might well be the case but it's difficult to tell in this light. Let's give it the benefit of the doubt shall we?
Found one that works and everything already set properly at a thrift store for $8.99😊
That's the watch that Robert De Niro wore in the 1995 movie Heat!! surprised that they are still in production to this day
Is it!? It seems much more modern than that. But I'll take your word for it 👍
@Douglas Pantera do a google search before you talk nonsense
@Douglas Pantera this exact expedition is just a newer model of the stealth stop btiching
this is the base model of the expedition, which is from 2008
I have found my new beater watch. Something indestructible.

It kind of reminds me of the pip boy from fallout
Yes! It does look like that, doesn't it!
You beat me to it. I think it’s called Pip Boy. Actually could be modded with a filter and led to look like that.
Thank you for this Video, i buy my watch today. Thank you & greetings from Germany.
Hope you enjoy it!
Just got mine....love it
I just got my 2 days ago. Awesome watch.
Cool! Yeah, it is awesome😃
Mine is dark can’t see it like yours.when I set the time I can’t get the face to show like yours it’s dark

Awesome review! Thanks from Spain!
Thanks madnessgodman , I appreciate your comments 😃
How many Centipedes thick 🤔
unfortunately, this beautiful model has a factory issue: INDIGLO stop working after random time... :-(

@@WatchesKnivesEDC right, anyway, I keep using it ;-)
Hope you keep videos coming.. I am subscribing.
Thanks, I appreciate it👍 I'm doing two new videos a week 😀
Hi, if you hold the light button a moon appears on the right. What does it mean?
I think it's night mode - any button activates the Indiglo.
@@WatchesKnivesEDC thank you so much, you're right!

Does anyone know how to change the battery ?
Do you reckon it will be a good fit on below 7inch wrists?
To be honest it's massive so looks huge on any wrist. Below 7" might be pushing it in terms of comfort though.
🙋♂️. thank you, from America!
You're welcome, from France ;-)
Excelente at the top. Thanks!
🙂
Sad that the modes have splash screens.
Vibrating alarm or no?
Yup - www.timex.eu/en_GB/expedition-grid-shock-50mm-resin-strap-watch/TW4B02500SU.html
What Happened to your right Thumb ?
Er... nothing, I've still got it. I'd bashed my other thumb - I'm working on the house and am always cutting / scraping / bashing / damaging myself 🙄
Can the alarms be snoozed?
No, I don't think so.
"TIMEX" .........."takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'"
Ha! I always wondered about this slogan in relation to digital watches :-/

Cool - thanks Jeff😊
You sound a little bit like Ricky Gervais 😃
Ha - thanks! 😀
LOL the marketing department got lazy with this watch. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery I guess.
How much does this watch weight? Must be 100+ grams
77 grams - not quite as heavy as it looks. It is bloody big though!
@@WatchesKnivesEDC Wow that's pretty light for its size. Yeah 5.3ish cm wide. That's like almost a quarter of my forearm length
It's certainly got what some like to call 'wrist presence' 😂

Which lap
Sorry Sikandar, I'm not sure what you mean.
Would have been nice to see what the indigo looks like when it's actually dark.
Yeah, sorry I didn't do that😞
The very size of this watch makes it impractical. I’ll stick with the Casio AE-1200 for twenty bucks thank you.
😂 😂 😂 You're right, it is completely impractical!
😂 just bought this watch due to its size.

Ele é melhor que o Casio iluminator

A bigger screen to scratch. I love watches but I also get the screens scratched at work. 😞
True. I have a 'cheap' watch for jobs I know are a scratch risk but often forget to put it on and ding my Omega instead 😭
