Well done on your side. Sadly, things are not always in our control. You are as always the consummate professional. I love Florida weather, 2 hurricanes and a torrential down pour in just over a two week period. TowBoat US will pay for itself in a bad day on the water. Well done Capt. Ken
Would love for you to do a video on Salvage vs tow. Even interview the owner of your TowBoatUS. Logistics and legal definitions so people don’t get screwed. I know TowboatUS wouldn’t do that, but others might. What was wrong with this boat? I might have missed. Obviously engines (fuel issue)….What ended poorly? Looks like it was a perfect tow
fun parts is that both of yall got cover in cold rain water lol lucky for you there was no mud i have deal with sinked semi truck with died starter and claw under it get starter replaced and cover in mud
Along @ 9;45 or so that's quite a thunder head building over the city... low -n- behold it started to dump a few mins later. I guess that's par for the course & now I know why Dr's always keep me waiting in the office? Because they backed up all the appointments while they were out salvaging their boats? peace Captain
I try to stay out of their office.... that's a Golden Rule for being healthy. Love seeing these real life situations as they happen. Doesn't get any better than that. Thanks for the videos, Captain. peace
Apart from the weather, dunno how you consider that a poor ending, you did everything but wind the winch on the trailer, a lesser Captain would have just tied the to the dock and left...skills 🤙🤙
Nope. It was a covered service, so $0 out of pocket, and if we were billing him, it would be more than $250 plus his own fault for not being there when we agreed to meet
@@CaptKenO I had a sea tow membership and they said if I didn't have the membership they would charge me like $200 an hour to tow me back to the dock and that starts from the time I call them to the time they get me back to the dock.
15:15 lol that doctor really is clueless. You asked him to detach the yellow lines off the front and he just walked in circles looking lost like Joe Biden on stage, then goes and tries to hide in that side window.

ok Im calling you out for click baiting me w/ the "ends poorly" I mean, as CCR says "who'll stop the rain". lol
Another safe, professional job. Well done Capt Ken…
Thanks lowrider!

Thanks Craig!
Very nice boat handling.
Thanks Paul!
That funnel cloud in the 9 minute range was pretty impressive.
Just looked that way on the video, but no tornado
Love the videos captain Ken 👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks Iceman!
Ha ha the rain gotcha....
Just a bit... 😑

He got soaked to his underwear in a cold rain! That's the worst😮
The boat partially sunk at the dock and my other captain refloated it. As for what went wrong... What joolz said 😂

Yeah, cold wet mud would be worse for sure
@CaptKenO imagine seat cover in mud and dont have spare clothes ended up having muddy seat in vehicles
Is it better to tow with the outboards down on the towed vessel?
100%. If the outboards are up the boat swings all over the place
Man that sky got dark!
Welcome to Florida summers...
is this from hurricane milton?
No. This one partiality sunk from Helene

Lol 😂
I would doubt too many of them are going out during their normal clinic hours to go sit on a boat... But you never know 🤔😂

Thanks Clint! Everything was fine except the weather. That part was definitely not fine 😭
You have the coolest job bro.
Thanks robbie!
Was that a tornado around @9:30?
Guess I wasn't the only person wondering that.
It was not. Sure looked it though on the video
so are you billing him $250/hr to sit there and wait for him? That's typically the hourly rate for tow services
Nope. It was a covered service, so $0 out of pocket, and if we were billing him, it would be more than $250 plus his own fault for not being there when we agreed to meet

@ either or. I’m Aussie, so I don’t really care about the complete shit show going on over there lol. Just used a reference that was known about.
why do you need some one on the boat some kind of dumb law ?
Not a law. It's for liability
@@CaptKenO then you are respasi bal for a person not just a craft
Since 99% of the jobs we do I am anyway, I'd rather that than have the customer claim something happened on the tow that didn't
