Where's the love for the trumpet player in this song? The trumpet is what makes this cover truly unique and original in my opinion.

I know Rachael gets all the looks and she is an absolutely incredible singer...but Bridget absolutely elevates the shit out of this band. Calabrese and McDuck are great too.

I think this has to be one of my favorite McDuck trumpet solos--not being close-miked helps the sound, and he was pretty right on timing and harmony-wise.

This video was my first introduction to Lake Street Dive (April 2016). Now (July 2016) I have 4 LSD CD's a hat a T-shirt and have seen them live once so far. I love this band and hope to get more stuff and see more show's.
I'm always startled by her voice at the beginning of a song just because of how different it is... But then I slowly fall in love with it.

Saw these guys at the Palace in St. Paul last year. They are a smokin' hot act and Rachael Price is a fantastic vocalist. Their musical chops are enormous and insanely varied. I enjoy their music so much.

Modest clothing is so underrated, I'm telilng ya, they got fashion right in the sixties. If the singer was dressed in daisy dukes I'd be so put off. The fact that she ain't flaunting her goods makes it all the better.

The thing is... just makes me feel like I'm right there! I can almost feel the breeze it's so immediate and pure! And it puts the band at such ease that they give a very fresh, relaxed, personal performance.

Lordy - I feel like I've been living in an aural vacuum till LSD came along. WOW. Now I just gotta dig up that House of Cards ep where RP sings the National Anthem and then load up my mobile music files with Lake Street Dive...and go for a very very very long drive.
I'd love to hear them with Teddy Swims, he does great covers too. I think their vocals would blend beautifully.
