This really is the greatest band taking the greatest time to become the greatest band in history.
You guys are freakin' awesome. Still digging further into yalls music...since the day I heard Hypotheticals ....keep on doing what yall do , please❤
Her voice is the smoothest, sweetest thing, ever.
The more I play this tune the more I love it....Great job!!....Lake Street Dive!!...True artists...they're real!!
This band is so good. I'm a country music guy…this isn't my usual genre but DAMN they have a seriously amazing sound. I'm hooked
So i listened to twenty or so songs today, my era is 60's and 70's which i prefer, but these guys are fantastic.Rp's voice is exquisite.Evidently there is more than my youth that i've been missing.
They sound great with your eyes closed. When you open them, it's even better.
Listening to Rachel Price belt out Good Kisser causes the tears to flow out of sheer joy. She sings from the heart with a set of pipes that could empty an ocean. I've been enjoying the band for hours on end and love them more with each note.
Saw them live in Vancouver. People say everything is "awesome" these days, but I was truly awestruck. Awesome, really.
Just something about this group..and the pipes on the singer...wow
+Steve Pudzis Do it! There live show is great energy and as good as you suspect. Work will be there when you get back.
All are great but as a bassist I am so impressed with Bridget Kearnys sound!
Yep, the bassline is what got me into Lake Street Dive's songs.
And Bridget wrote the song
Yeah, they're all great, but Bridget Kearney is phenomenal.
Please tell me you've seen their version of Broken Glass!! She CRUSHES it on that one. Her tone here is so damn good, and her playing...
As a guitar player, I usually gravitate towards the guitarist in the band, but Bridget is fantastic and I love listening to her play
Best pocket band to come around in a long long time from this old fart point of view - 360 outstanding
One of the best performances on UA-cam...period! :)
"I get turned around... around... around." Brilliant.
I'd listen to her sing the phone book
robert simpson ..or the complete conditions of Facebook membership 🤣
Great Comment!
Phone Book. What’s that?
Luckily we have Bridget and co. to write the songs
This made me smile her tone is so dope!
They should realllyyy make a live album.
They have one. You can buy it digitally on their website and get the video of the gig as a bonus. It's great. You can also purchase it on iTunes, but I am not sure whether you get the bonus video in that case. It's called Live At the Lizard Lounge.
\/ You're not alone guys! I'm crying here right now! As a good musician I am, you don't know HOW FANTASTIC is to find something BRILLIANT as LAKE STREET GUYS! What a soul, what a talent, what a personality, what a skill, voices, song-writtng gezz....Everything is just perfect, they're the first thing I hear in so much time and don't think about changing any detail in the song....I'M HEAVEN!
that multitasking drummer though
What a blessing this is to the ears, soul, heart....DAMN
FABULOUS!!!! ....a bit reminiscent of Jackie Wilson's "Higher and Higher"
You right, but that's a great compliment!!
I can listen to this wonderful band and the most distinctive sound from a singer everyday !!
I love this band !!
Bless the serendipity that brought these guys together.
I was them @ museum of art in Raleigh NC and have been a fan ever since. Excellent !
So lucky to see them at SXSW last week..at Papa Tino's with about 40 people. WOW.
My new favorite band.
I must admit I some how missed having ever heard of the band. I live in Birmingham AL and was looking for a live band to go hear a few weeks ago. Picked my local bar and went LSD was playing with Lawrence the band and I was completely blown away by LSD. I now am addicted to LSD and have to get my daily fix of LSD. Amazing talent. Sounded as good in person as on any CD. All the members were so fun to watch and hear. Great show, great music. My new fav band and my fav music drug of choice is LSD (the band). I hope they will come back to B'ham soon I would love to see them again. Lawrence the band is coming back this month I'm very excited they were so awesome.
hi from New Caledonia !! love the band and the song!
What a Voice!! Thumbs UP!
Saw them in the concert movie "Another day, Another time". It's celebrates the music of "Inside Llewyn Davis." It's a new film by the Cohen brothers. Great music.
Just heard this on a random google play station. Had to google the lyrics! Love the old school feel!
Loving It. This Band is incredible.
I am hooked on LSD. My favorite band of 2013. Amazing in every way.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful band w me!!! :)
she looks like Scarlett Johansen and sings like Amy Winehouse, with a funky jazz infused sound. Favorite new band. Thanks Colbert
I disagree. Amy, at her best, was the equal of anyone on the planet, if not better. Unfortunately, Amy was only ever rarely at her best. And, at her worst, she was bloody terrible. Whereas Rachel delivers the goods every single time.
So . . . you agree then. Rachel is better by far BECAUSE she is consistently amazing. Your reasoning is like saying I'm better than any basketball player on the planet cause I made a slam dunk once . . .
Nah. Music ain't basketball. Don't get me wrong. Rachael is a wonderful singer and LSD probably couldn't do better. And, really, I've never seen her not produce the goods whereas, with Amy, that's the majority of the time, particularly later in her career. However it's my personal feeling that on the rare occasions when Amy was 'on' she came from a deeper place than Rachael does. She sang her own songs, they were deeply personal, many borne out of emotional distress and turmoil, and, at her best, Amy could match the songs in her delivery.
Scarlett Johansen? Please don't denigrate Rachel like that. Insulting really. Amy Whinehouse is a better comparison but still not really
Apples and Oranges. Winehouse, on her best day, was a performer. Price is a disciplined, professional singer.
Found you guys on here...Immediate fan. Planning on trying to catch you guys June 2. I play guitar and I'm teaching my daughter to sing now and she's found a couple she really likes too so I think im gonna try to bring the whole Fam. You guys are great together though. LOVE IT!!!! Crisp and new with a nice groove. Keep it up.
watch out 2014. i hope they make it bigger than the years before. my new favorite band. and her voice........mmmmmmm
I love Rachael, no mistake, but man, you guys have beautiful harmony! And girl, you KILL that bass!!
That be Bridget "Twisting her Chad" Kineary.....love my LSD...they take me on trips and I always return wanting more! Cheers All
Her last name is Kearney.
Thanks, hon. But who? The bassist? She has that X factor, too.
Yeah, the bass player is Bridget Kearney, not "Kineary" like the other guy said. They're all killer musicians (and songwriters).
lake street dive saw them in ybor city, tampa at a WMNF event. most enjoyable evening. Excellent, tight band..
Glad I got to see them live before they start playing stadiums! Rachel's got a little Amy Winehouse in her, but definitely has her own sound.
Actually, Amy had some Rachael in HER.....lol
Yes, I know Amy was 2 years or so older...but I ADORE Rachael. I love Amy's music, every now and then I have an Amy binge. But I could spend all day just listening to Lake Street Dive.
THE BOMB-DIGGITY! SUPER CLASSY.
AWESOME, great pipes.
There is just so much that is good and great in not just this song, but in all their music. I'm continually amazed and awed.
beautiful beautiful beautiful
i love that groovy funky bass and her groovy funky voice
-smiling- beyond ear to ear.
EVEN BETTER LIVE!
ditto the fabulous and the Higher and Higher. I love the sparse arrangements plus the utilization of vocals
awesome group and that sound, mmmmmm!
Can't get enough of em
Man I got to catch up, haven't bought an album since their 2010 eponymous album...
ugh they're just so goooooood
Great group of artists!!
im obsessed with this band
Whoa baby sweet baby. Soulful talent...this is music!!!
Last night (3/20) at Cafe Du Nord in SF was incredible! LSD was awesome - all four spot on. We all had a blast, band included. Opened w/YGDSmooth, and the place went nuts. Rachael says..Wow, I guess it's been too long since we've been here - and she was right! She seemed surprised we packed the house on a Wednesday night. An hour and a half later, they'd played all our favorites and closed with You Got Me Fooled. What a show! Hope they come to Sacto soon so I don't have to drive 2 hrs next time.
BRIDGET !!!!
Really catchy song, love the sound
I am hooked so much talent and then this song is spot on. Love your music!!!!
They are catching on.
Love this band!
Y'all dive!

Full WOW.......
I can't believe that I'd just missed them at St. Paul :( HURRY BACK.
Colbert Bump^^^^
Reminds of The Cure's "Close To Me" in all the right ways.
YES!! 100%
When is the last time you heard acquiesce in a song?
Probably as often as I have heard "reticent" . I'm not sure if Bridget wrote both songs but my guess is she probably did. This is what happens when a group of self proclaimed nerds get together to make fantastic music.
If i were to meet her and she actually talked to me... Well... I'd be gigglin like a little bitch
Alladin Jaafar HAHAHAHA!! That is so funny!! I hear ya man!
Alladin Jaafar she was running past me at a show once and I yelled her name and she stopped and turned and looked and all I could muster was "You rock girl" with a thumbs up, and she smiled and said thanks and kept running
DAT AWESOME BASS
Wowzas! Super cool.
fucking love it!
I'd love to hear them do standing in shake ground by phoebe snow.....
Does anybody else hear 'Close to Me' by The Cure???!!
i can not say when a group has affected me like this one maybe the eagles csn (Crosby stills and nash)
Is this an original composition? Of the dozen or so "Use Me Up" songs I know, this is not in my memory. I have to say this is... well... fan-damn-tastic!
Yes - original. I think it is by the guitar/trumpet player (McDuck).
bravo se
Hey, LSD: You're all good enough to start your own bands and stuff, but please don't. You're the complete band, here. This is what I was looking for when I sought music on the UA-cams. You're coming to town, and I'm about demand off that night to get tickets. I don't do that a lot, but you make clear that you can play live, and play WELL. Keep doing this stuff that you've been doing for years and years, together, please.
so good so good wholey moley batman
