I love that Hobie's anti consistency goes as far as none of his animation ever being consistent. Also I love that the only reason he was part of the spiderverse team was that he was essentially waiting for the day miles showed up (since everyone knew about Miles being an anomaly) so he could contribute to the dismantling of a system

I like to think hobie was the reason the movie was delayed so many times cuz he was so hard to animate. truly an agent of chaos

4:17 1917 was the year that Puerto Ricans were given US citizenship. This occurred due to the Jones-Shafroth Act. Miles is half Puerto Rican, and the issues that PR have on the mainland being recognized as American citizens have always been an issue, and have been recently getting traction with major stations discussing the racism. As shown when Miles mom reminded the guidance counselor that they were always American, they were never the struggling immigrants that the counselor wanted to promote. The film was subtle but beautifully balanced Miles PR side, and his African American heritage which was something that Miles himself desired in the comics.
917 is also an OG NYC area code so that ties nicely

As an artist, one other thing I noticed is when the Spot is in the weird...Spot dimension, where his body is all white, you can see the underlying guidelines artists use as a skeleton for their characters in him. Like the circles in the head and shoulders that are used to note where the skull and joints are.

That was talked about a little in the first Easter egg video
when miles first meets Peter in the first movie, his spider sense goes from green and purple to red and blue, signifying his fate changing right then and there from becoming prowler to becoming spiderman.. it’s really crazy foreshadowing
honestly I highly doubt Aaron would've let Miles become the prowler. He's not comics Aaron Davis, he's a good person and really cares about miles, and the last thing he'd want would be miles becoming the prowler

Not quite an Easter egg, but i haven't seen it really mentioned yet. At the end Miles is tied to the punching bag, in the same way he tied Peter to the bag in the first one. In which Peter tells Miles, "first lesson, don't watch the mouth, watch the hands" before he breaks the chains as the bag is turned away. There is no way that doesn't come back in the third film.

You should talk about how when Miles jumps off of the train while being chased by all of the spider people, the parts where he is holding on to shatter, similar to his leap of faith in the first movie.

YEAAH, I noticed that, and I think they didn't mentioned that in the first video.
It doesn't rlly make sense in this one tho cuz in the original it signifies how he is scared and still holding on, in this one it's just a callback, he's not scared anymore.
In this movie, the glass shatters off of his kick off the glass, which I think shows how strong he’s gotten, rather than the fear in the first one
Also, Miguel's powers are different compared to everyone else's which is why he's never "crawling" on walls. He's always using his talons since his powers didn't come from a spider bite. Also no spider sense which is why vulture got a hit on him in the beginning

Miles realizing Jeff is dead in Universe 42 can also be a nod to Back To The Future Part II. They are both sequels that end with a cliffhanger, the main character thinking they’re back in the original timeline/universe but then realizing they are in a much worse place and finding out their father is dead
There are even more!! As Miguel arrives on Earth-1610 with Jess and Ben, the rooftop walk mimics the intro to Web of Shadows. Also, after Miles realizes he’s in the wrong universe, the whole scene plays out exactly like Miles arriving to the party in the beginning. When he glitches in the staircase he’s holding the cakes, and the camera movement as he gets to the top follows the same path as well!
The details in this movie are utterly mind-blowing.

We don't actually know that the Prowler is evil in universe 42. A world with no Spiderman, struggling to survive in a city (world?) run by the Sinister Six... Miles G. is an anti hero! He's used to villains trying to kill him and hence would be sus about another him showing up. Probably wont but I hope that turns up somewhere.
Seeing as how they were gonna rob some place, I don’t think they are antiheroes.

For 42, I thought Eric was going to point out that Miles' hoodie and jacket were Prowler colors...while the apartment being red and blue are spider colors.
Which makes me think that this Miles is still a hero but maybe more of an anti hero. The city itself is colored in villain green and purple but Aaron's house is hero red and blue!

i did hear a team of VFX artists of this movie were from the state of Kerala, India, and it gave me such goosebumps when Erik Voss mentioned this detail and im so happy that a reference to my culture was made in an beloved film, thanks to the malayalee VF artists who made it possible
So I noticed a connection between Across the spider verse and The last of us! There is an Easter egg in the office where Miles meets with his parents and the counselor. There’s a picture of a husky with shades holding some flowers, this is the same photograph you can find in the last of us pt.1 game while you explore certain offices. I thought it was worth mentioning. I’m assuming it’s one of the developers/illustrators dog and probably worth on both projects.

The way that Hobie steals bits and pieces of tech from around the Spider Society HQ reminded me of how Rocket Racoon did the same from around the High Evolutionary's HQ...
So if Miles took his father's name, he would have been called Miles Davis 😂

Another hidden detail is how miles saved his dad during the spot backstory reveal scene and how it was clearly similar to how miles was saved by the peter parker who died in his universe
The Miles in 42 still has on Jordan 1's, they're just likely the "utility" version (original shoes also have Nike branding) as a sneak peek for the 3rd collab for the 3rd movie next year 😊

The song Uncle Aaron was playing is called “ Ain’t No Love In The Heart Of City.” By Bobby Blue Bland. This is an excellent choice, the song is about how crime and poverty has taken over the city. Also heart break 💔
Gwen's peter parker looks younger in the second movie compared to the first one

Well in this movie's flashbacks he presumably hasn't become the Lizard yet, so maybe that made him jacked.
Nobody is talking about how the outline of Miles that Uncle Aaron made in the first movie in the subway looks identical to the shot of the spot when he blows up the machine and gains all of his full potential. Look up the scenes, the shoulders, the posture, The foreshadowing is insane.
We need a bigger video of every single easteregg in the movie (including every character and their universe number) to just have a refrence for the next movie

1 easter egg I spotted. When Miguel is chasing Miles, they crashed into a car then the driver point where Miles went, Miles shoutd "Snitch" and the text also briefly appears as well.

I’ve always had this question. So in the movie they revealed that getting bit by the spider is a canon event and if a canon event dosnt happen then that world will get destroyed. So how did earth 42 not get destroyed when that miles was supposed to get bit but he never did.
possibly because him not getting bit was a canon event and the whole story is playing out how its supposed to so if he was bitten and the events of the movies never happened that would have caused it to be destroyed
I was also thinking about that after I came out the theater, it seems like a way to prove that Miguel isn't actually right

Now go back to the very begging of the set of numbers and the “1” at the beginning

I remember when Miles fights the Spot the first time there’s a reference to the famous comic panel of Peter fighting Spot where he punches Spot in the face but it goes through a hole and he punches himself in the face through another hole. Miles does that to himself in the movie.

A small detail I noticed... our Miles (when introducing himself) says his last name in a typical American accent but Earth 42 Miles when saying his name (when our Miles was chained to the punching bag) has a latin accent on the Morales.
I don't think Sonny and Tom Holland are really friends (though it would be cool!). But Tom Holland supports Tottenham (the team Sonny plays for) in real life which is why Sonny did the Spiderman goal celebration in the first place.
My favourite thing about the whole movie is that they decide to keep the construction lines in the spots final design
Great video as always. Just wanted to note that the shoes that prowler miles wears are also Jordan 1’s. They’re a utility version previously released but they did them right and made them look real nice in the movie. And Jordan actually released them in a super limited 100 pairs gifted to friends and family.
Green and Purple are the colors of the Prowler. A hint that this worlds Miles is the prowler!

Some minor things. The alternate Miles shoes are still Jordan 1s. They are just a different colorway/variant. Also, I think Miles Brooklyn jersey with the number 42 is a subtle reference to Jackie Robinson who also broke ground in his own field.
Into the Spiderverse: The spiderman variants all want to go home = Spiderman Homecoming
Across the Spiderverse: Miles goes to the "arachno-humanoid universe" = Spiderman Far From Home
Beyond the Spiderverse: Miles is stuck in the wrong universe and wants to go home but currently cannot = Spiderman No Way Home
The Videoman in captivity is from the 80s cartoon Spiderman and His Amazing Friends. For some reason, I loved that episode as a kid.

A little detail that sticks from the first film to the 2nd film is that miles still doesnt know what comic con is. But in earth 42, they have comic con.
Idk if this counts but Miles’s uncle at the end of the movie returns, and (atleast to me) looks a lot like the rapper Rakim, and during Miles’s intro in the movie, the song “Guess Who’s Back” by Rakim plays in the background foreshadowing the return of Uncle Aaron in the film 🤯
Fun fact, Heung-min son also called by his team mate, Sonny 😂 what a way to put Sonny on Sony animated movie 🤣

When I went a second time, the thing that I caught was that at the beginning when they are battling Vulture, Miguel says to not let him leave the building, “he could interrupt the canon”. Is that implying that this is when Captain Stacy was supposed to die while saving someone?
I also noticed that the color palette is the same for the spider from Earth-42 to its respective world
