There was actually something funny that I noticed while watching it. When no one thought Miles was useful, Miles crumpled up his “Expectations” drawing and threw it out the window.
*He threw the expectations out the window.*
Metal Sonic’s Channel The writing for this film so so damned solid. Screenwriting departments should dedicate courses to it.
That is exactly what the graffiti suggests, with a chalk outline of a blacked out figure. He has do direction for himself. The adults around him have their own ideas for him, but he doesn't want to walk the paths they offer. Miles is lost.
The over-riding theme of the movie is Miles finding himself.

Just remember kids: If you want to be spiderman, you need the following.
- Bitten by a radioactive spider
- Have an uncle killed
- Know how to produce clothing.
Technically you don't need the third part since Aunt May made it for Miles this time.
Only first one left...
And to be fearless
And... You've gotta always get back up.
I think the only thing needed is a giant leap of faith
The cape was actually a copy from dr.strange's cape ,,, that he once actually wore in an animated series and comics
That's true

And then now we have Spiderman No Way Home with Peter and Strange.

Missed one! Miles always sticks when he is terrified. There is a nod to that when he jumps off of the building. The glass goes off with him because he is scared, so he stuck.
Small thing I noticed that wasn't mentioned.
When the spidergang goes into Peter's lair for the first time, Miles looks closely at the suit Peter wore before he died. His eyes don't match the eyes of the suit showing he hasn't measured up to it yet. Later when he comes back his eys aligns to that of the suit, telling us that he's ready.
And as Stan Lee said in his cameo "it always fits eventually"
Good job on noticing that!
Perfect details
I noticed the eyes not aligning the first time but i wasn't thinking about it the second time. Good catch!
Omg you're totally right!

Couple things. The expectations drawing says "no Expectations". Also, during the scene when they break out of the lab, they animate Peter Parker at 24 fps and Miles at 12, as they progress and Miles get the hang of it, they then bump him up to 24fps as well. Very awesome touch from the animators. Such an amazing movie!

There’s one thing I noticed that wasn’t mentioned in this video:
The wide shot not only shows the spider team being ejected (5 bursts shoot out in different directions) from the collider at Fisk tower, BUT each burst is also colored differently.
You can actually identify which spider-person is which because the artists color-coded each, AND, when each spider-person is giving their their quick back story as to how they landed in Miles’ Brooklyn, you can see their respective color surrounding them. You can get a general idea of who landed where!!
Pretty cool!

A small possible correction here: The Ben Day dots are used for the aesthetics of the film, yes, but I think the "dots" used by the dimensional canon were actually Kirby Krackle/Kirby Dots! They were a big, blobby use of ink or empty space that Kirby often used to convey immense power, one of his very distinct artistic trademarks. So much so that there's a special photoshop brush or two meant to copy them (Downloadable from Kyle T Webster in partnership with photoshop). They're that stylistically well-known.
Samantha, I thought of Kirby Krackle as well, especially when large black dots were used to represent the actual inter-dimensional gateway (which fits neatly with the idea that the machine could create a black hole).
But when the dots in the energy flowing between the poles of the machine are shown in bright colours, I think they could be a further nod to the so-called “Ben Day dots” of the comics... further that is to the many many comic-book dots seen throughout the film.
I say “so-called” Ben Day dots because, while US newspaper strips used genuine Ben Day tech from the 1890s through the 1930s, the actual comic books dropped Ben Day for faster cheaper methods soon after their origins in 1933-34.
The name “Ben Day” did stick to the comic book dots, admittedly, in the same way as the brand name “Kleenex” sticks to tissues.
I’m pretty certain the name “Ben Day dots” would have been forgotten if Roy Lichtenstein hadn’t revived it when talking about his Pop Art paintings in the 1960s. But we don’t talk about that, because the comics world hates RL!
the Ben Day / Kirby Krackles are very stylistic - i would say these are just halftone dots from the process of printing. They are VERY noticeable in old 80s comics.
We have better tech now so you can't even notice them.
My favorite one is when Miles does the big jump at the end and SpiderGwen says to Peter B Parker "We didn't teach him that" .True, he learned it from the Peter that passed. He did the same move earlier in the movie before he passed
7:48
" He Moonlights"
Ah I see what ya did there...
So nobody noticed that the spider that bit Miles glitched? That means it’s from another dimension right? Does that mean Miles is gonna glitch too? Part 2 confirmed?
I saw the "clutching" as actually a nod towards miles chameleon ability, and just foreshadowing that moment.
The post credits confirmed countenance of the storry
I figured that it was just glitching as a side effect of being exposed to the collider experiments.

When he takes the leap of faith his hands still stick to the glass because he’s still scared. It’s a leap of faith but he does it anyway.
one detail i noticed that wasnt mentioned on the case learning from the ones before him
in the end before putting the drive in the machine miles did a sequence of moves and swings that lead him to the top, that gwen and peter asked if they taught him that,
actually if you look at the beginning of the movie before the spiderman of that universe died he did the same move to get to the top,
