10mm is awesome. Just so expensive to shoot. 9mm definitely gets the job done as well and is not so much to shoot. I love my G19 but mines a Gen. 3. I love it. I'll never get rid of it. I do have a Gen. 4 G17 and it shoots just fine. I am pretty sure the issues have been addressed by Glock. They are great shooters for sure.
40 s&w is also considered a basic caliber, we forget that the majority of our law enforcement nationwide carry the G22 & G23 so if there was ever a SHTF situation and say if we had to break inside an police station in search of ammo we will find more 40s&w than any other pistol round.
Well if you still have that Glock 20 then you have a true 40 caliber and really no need for 40 s&w. Good choice in 9mm. I just bought a Gen 3 made USA G19.
Congrats Brother. Watch the brass flying back at you. I just got rid of mine because of it and got the m&p9c. I will get the Glock 23 next month though. The g19 gen4 is a sweet shooter though. Be safe.
Yes sir I agree fully, and the proverbial SHTF situation. It's going to come down to what kind of ammunition are you going to come across more often, and as you said 9mm, .223/5.56, 7.62, and .45 ACP are going to be the most abundant. Good looking out and MOLON LABE.
No! Don't sell probably the best Combat handgun cartridge. Don't listen to the anti 10mm folk most of them never owned or shot any10mm handgun. I admit the 10mm isn't for everyone. Its sort of in the Magnum class of Powerful handguns so its definitely not some folk cup of tea. Alot of serious shooters know its in another class of handguns because of its power. Keep the 10mm; Its good to have a handgun that has a higher chance to drop any man. 357mag, 10mm, 41mag, 44mag etc are in another class.
Good Choice Brother... All my hand guns are Glocks and chamber in 9mm... I have 6,000 rounds and ready to roll when SHTF... " 1 - 17, 3 - 19, 1 - 26, and 1 - 43"... Keep It In The Family...
I hope I'm not too late. HELL NO, don't get rid of your Glock 20! After I bought mine, I picked up a Colt Delta Elite and have a Kimber Custom Eclipse II on layaway. Can't beat a 10mm round with anything else except maybe a .44 Mag, but they only hold 6.
Went to the NRA convention few weeks back and they have the Glock 30s (slim) in a 45 cal which holds 10+1 rounds. Have you tried that out by any chance? Heard its a killa!!!
This me brother...just called you. I no longer live in Port Clinton....live in Columbus now. But yeah...you got my number now so get at me and let me know how that Gen4 G19 shoots. I might snatch me up one here real soon. Check out my recent vid about what I have left after selling off a huge chunk of my firearms.
Congrats on the new Glock. Be safe man!

Oh excellent, this will help to minimize the crime in your country ;-)
