  • I sold the DT and bought a Suzuki DR 600 djebel from 1987, in this video I'm repairing the speedometer's holder and fixing some cabling.

    Hi mate, im going to buy a dr 600 s from 1987, do you know whats the difference between this and yours(djebel) and the difference between dr 650, thanks.

      Can't tell you much on the 600 part.
      But I've got a 1990 DR650, the 650 has a bigger bore and longer stroke, they also switched from a flat slide to the infamous BST-40 cv carb.
      And I think the 600 had 2 countershafts while the 650 only has 1, though I'm not certain on that.
      Oh yeah and the dakar/djebel are only a visual change, the engines and carbs are the same as the base models.
      I think the only real change is the bigger headlight plastic on the dakar/djebel and well the graphics.
      Edit: forgot one thing lol
      The 600 has an automatic decomp and a manual decomp, while the 650 only has the manual decomp lever, though I've never found myself longing for the possibility of the automatic decomp breaking.
      The manual one works just fine, if your cable ever snaps then a bicycle brake cable is just the right size ;)

    per caso hai anche un video su come si smonta il coperchio delle valvole per rifare la guarnizione?

      Non ha guarnizione tra coperchio valvole e testata. Puoi smontare e mettere giusto un filino di pasta ma dopo qualche tempo perderá ancora. È una "caratteristica" del dr600 la perdita olio dal coperchio valvole lato sinistro e dall' alberino del decompressore. Alla lunga ci si convive.
