Just wondering. Where did you find a subaru engine for under 3k everywhere I look is insane especially for ej257
Ej20s are cheap, 1300-1500 with proof of leakdown/compression check in video and running
@@whoischris28 im gonna go for a ej20 build because of the price, and a lot of people prefer the 2 liter as opposed to the 2.5. Built bottom end, turbo, tune, etc would def be a lot of fun

300 wheel with basically no modifications? Sorry but a full bolt on pro tunes wrx makes about 310-320 wheel. Dyno sheet?

Interesting thinking about buying a 2004 WRX but it has 226 HP stock, or i could get a 2007 Impreza stock 175 HP, not sure if the 04 WRX is worth it just for 50 HP gain though,
its worth it for sure, i also had an 07 impreza, but the wagon version, then i bought an 03 wrx wagon. They sound better, are faster, and have the potential to go alot faster.
It’s a huge difference because the ej205 is buildable to hit 300-400 horsepower where as the ej25 in the 07 Impreza isn’t worth touching. They can make maybe 300 and can’t handle boost

Realistically how good are these blobeye/ Hawkeye wrx to make good horsepower out of them? Lots of money to get like 300 awhp? 400? I’m also on college student budget lol but wanna get into need for speed scene .
300 to 350 is limit on the 5 speed so for this power figure vf34 vf48 vf35 or td05 16 18 20g although the 20g will make big power it Laggy as fuk also sti pink injectors decat up pipe and 3 inch turbo back exhaust and a tune that should see u right for 300 to 350
Probably costs 2-3k to get 300 hp from stock
I've dumped a few thousand into my blobeye and am running Cobb OTS Stage 2+, which is 285hp on 93 (according to their graphs). For that horsepower, all you need to add is a 3" turboback exhaust, 3-port boost control solenoid, and the tune. I've spent more on other things like wheels, coilovers, and the airbox for fun.
The next jump in performance will cost quite a bit of money. If you want 350hp and stay on the safe side, you're gonna have to swap your transmission with an STI 6-speed, which will cost a couple thousand + the labor. At this point, you really have to ask yourself if heavily modding a 2004/5 car with over 100k miles on the engine and/or body will be realistic for you.
@@secretasianman7622 are you still on stock TD04 turbo? How long have you been stage 2+. Is the power level enough? I've been stage 1 for just over a month and trying to decide my way forward.
@@LIFEISAHUSTLE1 I believe i've been stage two for between 6k and 7k miles, no issues. (I'm at ~137k miles right now).
I went from stock straight to Stage2+, and the jump in power was considerably noticeable (from 212 to 285 is a good leap haha). As for stage 1 to stage 2, you may as well do it if you plan on upgrading. If you plan on going higher than stage 2 at some point, you have to get the full exhaust upgrade and boost control solenoid anyway.
