Sorry, but this is the only way that I can think of getting your attention but your sensors are only on the truck and you have three sensors. Do you have one on the front axle year tires one on the front rear axle which is your forward drive axle and one on your rear drive axle so when it says forward rear axle that means your front drive axle.
It's great to see you work for a company that is proactive in taking care of there equipment! When companies do that, it actually saves there drivers time, and saves the company money!😊💛
exactly they probably loose more money having to pay for an external mechanic and for the trailer to be out of service not making money, and those parts could have been under warranty also
Alright so a few things for ya. 1. Adding fuel doesn’t transfer any weight from the trailer onto your truck. It simply adds weight on your drives and steer. Trailer weight will be the same. 2. Axle temperature gauges read the oil for your drive axle to let you know if it’s overheating. Has nothing to do with your brakes at all and definitely nothing to do with your trailer. 165 degrees is absolutely fine. I do heavy haul and I’ve had mine up to almost 300. That’s when you need to be concerned.
15:25 forward rear axle temp is the temperature of the gear oil in your front drive axle and rear axle oil temp is the temperature of the gear oil in your rear drive axle. Each drive axle has its own oil temp sensor. You should see a sensor on the rear of each differential.

Alex, always prioritize utilizing your jake brakes when going down any grade over your actual brakes. Brake fade can happen sooner than you realize. Let the engine do all the work
You know you can use the cruise control when going downhill. Just adjust your set speed and over speed and you’re good to go. Truck will adjust the jakes and downshift to maintain speed. Super easy
3:07 there should be a little check box to click for a split sleeper. I've used it a bit if i get hung up at shippers/receivers after 2 hours sitting clock will stop and go back to time when you stopped.

Axle temps are showing you the temperatures on both of the trucks drive axles, front axle temp is the first set of wheels/tires on the rear of the truck closest to the sleeper and rear axle temp is the rear set of wheels/tires at the back of the truck.
If you hit the cruise on button then set or resume. It should bypass your truck wanting to shut off when your cooking. It should idle up to 800 rpm give or take.

Forward rear axle is the forward rear drive axle, rear is the rear drive axle, also that truck should have a Jake brake to help with downhill grades, that would be better than using the actual brakes
As a Heavy-Duty mechanic, we work on a lot of customers' trucks and heavy equipment. Some customers come in for a single tire replacement but if you are going to change one tire, you better change everything. That's how it works in the shop (I guess, not all shop but most of the shops up here in Canada do work like that). If you are replacing a brake, you going to replaced both side. I guess what I'm trying to say is, everything will be replaced in a pair. 😅
The foward axle temp you are asking about is the drive axle closest to the back of sleeper and the rear axle is the one right behind it and they are showing you the oil temperatures in your trucks drive axles. I don’t know of anyone that is able to read the trailer axle temps since there is only oil in the hubs for the bearings. Good luck and hope I cleared that up for you

I don’t understand why you worried about fueling with half a tank and your weights being legal. If you have a load of 39000 you can be fully fueled and still have room to work with. With a Cascadia and dry van you can haul approximately 45,000 lb load and still be under 80,000 if they load it right. Slide the tandems to make sure your drives and trailer tandems are under 34,000 and roll. Weigh stations are just making sure your total is under 80,000 and your under the 34,000 on your tandems and drives.
Well, you’ll have a good company then if they want to fix and lubricate and replace everything all at once. It’s probably so you don’t have to come back. You can start off your trip or the month of February with brand new everything and you don’t have to come back or have any problems. You are very lucky to have a company like that.
adding fuel does nothing to affect the weight of your trailer. as long as the trailer is below 34,000 you are good. I do not understand why you want to add fuel to make your load legal.

Yeah usually if you fall below the minimum speed which will be posted “minimum speed 40” all that aside it’s definitely a Courtesy check and a liability issue if you are going up a steep grade and someone rear ends you. If another driver rear ends you and you did not have your 4 ways on I think you would be at fault. It is your responsibility to have them on and warn other drivers of your presence and speed.
Alex, I know good and well you’re not holding your brakes when you’re going down a mountain my guy. Be careful, you can lose your brakes if they get to hot
Freddy Freighter!! Just another option, we’ll be waiting and interested to see what name you decide! Tell them you need an uphill tune screw the mpg uphill when you are being a safety issue!
Hi Alex, I don't know if you slide your tandems or not but why you need fuel to balance load? If you're under 34 in the trailer and drives you're legal, I always like to be a little heavier in tractor when driving winter conditions, don't want that tail swinging when using Jake brake down hill with ice.
Forward rear Axle is right behind the cab, rear is the the one just ahead of the trailer. Alex does that help you out? Now for my question: Alex, do you know how to go insane? My partner just got us a contract pulling double mini trailers. I spent an hour trying to figure them out yesterday. I think my partner should deal with them while the boys and I do our regular runs. Stage two going down that hill would keep you at speed and barely use brakes. Your gross with 39000 on should have been 74 or 75000 full of fuel and def you and your stuff.
This is my youtube channel so didi you reply to this comment in whats app just making sure its you
Remember when your fuel light comes on,you can go another 100 miles if you absolutely need to
I was going to leave a comment about how you never post about your early hours. But you gave us a glimpse with this post. Thanks! Peace.
What’s funny is I’m also a truck driver and I always watch your videos while driving whenever you post😂 and I ALSO have a garmen gps and whenever you get a route, my garmen here’s your voice and changes my gps😂😂 annoying sometimes but every part of that video I have to pause it and cancel the requests
Alex, put a pack of long, but thin zipties in passenger side door for broken gas pumps -- just clip it off when you're done obviously...
na, you leave it on to screw over the next guy. yes, im that guy.
Holy crap Alex you better watch out for the lot lizards. I have seen a couple gringas with a ping. When I was fueling. Alex you need to name your truck. I hate to remind you are coming to my state, North Carolina an welcome. Keep Safe and enjoy the warm weather.
GREAT love preventative maintenence. Spend the time now, not down the road
“Chemical guy” referring about the tanker 😂😂😂
Going down a hill alway keep the rpm at 1500 and use your jake to do that your in an automatic so no worry about blowing a shift
Looks like you came right down the turnpike in WV, I’m from Charleston and know those mountains well!
i really admire trucking from these videos......💪💪 i joined this channel about month and a half ago when it had 618k subs but now its 625k good progress.
be thankful alex!
When they had the trailer in, just makes since to do the whole thing. Definitely understand wanting to get it done and moving. "Im cheap" lol, bro you are making good money and you have a thriving UA-cam channel which has to be paying you some decent cash. Live a little. Great channel, be safe.
Slide your tandems for moving weight or slide your 5th slide
Replace these things don't you know what they are. Your slack adjusters. Your S cams. That is an old trailer with drum breaks. You have to be careful In Winter time they freeze. And driving in the snow you have To be careful. And in Winter time make sure that you keep that 5th will Greece.
Love your videos man!
there is a 4 year old snowboarder on youtube, her dad attaches a mic to her and just lets her go and she talks to herself, sings, etc. she's super cute and really fun! This channel gives me those vibes!!! It would be so interesting to hear what your life was like as a child if you dad attached a mic to you and just let you do your thing!
Found her. Chasing Sage. Very funny. Wish I had thought of it. 👍
thats a weird comment
@@412hwc yeah, your comment is weird. Either you get it, or you don't!
You should be on a list. Actually you’re probably already on one if you’re watching videos with 4 year olds.
@@bendeleted9155 what a creep. If I knew you in public I’d add you to the list of missing pedophiles.
Hey Alex,
Looking good fella. You already know I love watching you truck. You sure know how to do responsibility. A great character in a man.
Would love to DM you Alex but I don’t do social media. Sad for me🙁
What about naming the truck ‘bluebell’. What do you think 🇬🇧
I learned from another youtuber that you can't replace just one tire. They would to replace the pair. Don't have to do them all but they have to do the pair.
Love the content dude!
Finally seen one of your company truck near my home at the Loves. They looks so good on the road. I have been looking for your trucks since I started watching your channel. Maybe it was you here in North East, Ohio!
When I left the military installation I work on today there was a GP truck and trailer sitting right outside the gate.
Cassie would be a good name for your truck. Short for Cascadia plus as your home on wheels it is a play on casa.
Alex I don't think you should get off the beaten path with your GPS you could get yourself in a bad situation.
I wouldn't go through some small towns if the road is closed I would find the nearest truck stop off i-80.
The gas cap normally will fit to hold the pump.
Awesome Video Man!
Excellent video stay safe out there.
They must love their Alex
Use your engine brake more going downhill if you use it correctly you'll barely have to tap on your service brake at all maybe get it to the speed you want
Alex use a small Gatorade bottle next time you get a pump like that. Or maybe even a water bottle. Love the content brother. Keep em coming.
You going back through Virginia on 77again down Fancy Gap Mountain, down to Brintles Truck, be careful getting in and out of there. Godspeed from Virginia.
They seen the trailer needed more done. Its getting the season where D.O.T starts their unexpected all levels inspections and you want to keep your record clean and the company. Have a safe trip. Thanks for sharing. By the way whats the color is your truck called. Its like a blue but looks like it has a greenish tint to it ?
Alex don't use your brakes going down the mountains. Use your Jake brake
good luck for your work
hiya - question is it mandatory to put the warning/hazard lights on when going up hills? Question from Australia
I went uphill in France with 580 up with 25 mls/hr... now THAT's slow!!!
Alex, I know good and well you’re not holding your brakes when you’re going down a mountain my guy. Be careful, you can lose your brakes if they get to hot
Yes if equipped with an engine brake (Jake Brake) he should definitely be using it down hill
@@Rev1Kev yes indeed
Freddy Freighter!! Just another option, we’ll be waiting and interested to see what name you decide! Tell them you need an uphill tune screw the mpg uphill when you are being a safety issue!
Can you not use engine brake when going down those hills? Or was that just not enough
The front and rear axle oil in the gear box
Love your videos
15:38 it’s the rear deferential oil.
Hi Alex, I don't know if you slide your tandems or not but why you need fuel to balance load? If you're under 34 in the trailer and drives you're legal, I always like to be a little heavier in tractor when driving winter conditions, don't want that tail swinging when using Jake brake down hill with ice.
Hey you ever come to South Dakota I work at a warehouse I’m a yard dog and I see a lot of GP drivers come through
Try using the engine brake to save your brakes
Forward rear Axle is right behind the cab, rear is the the one just ahead of the trailer. Alex does that help you out? Now for my question: Alex, do you know how to go insane? My partner just got us a contract pulling double mini trailers. I spent an hour trying to figure them out yesterday. I think my partner should deal with them while the boys and I do our regular runs. The guys are going to hate me, but Sunday is a mandatory driving course. A friend of mine is coming by to teach us about them and it's coming out of my partner's pay check. I'm not telling him that until next week though! Trust me Alex they would drive you nuts!
Hold the brake going downhill? Does your truck not have Jake brakes?
He's a new driver, he's not going to know everything immediately. Great marketing for GP Transco for sure.
He is doing a fine job my gosh Looks like he made it down, fancy gap. In regular,Virginia.🤣🤣🤣🤣Go go go .😂😂❤
The oil sensors are your tandems
Logically thinking the temperature gauge for the brakes sensor would only be for the from and rear axles on the TRUCK.
Alex, name your truck *"232074"* -- Oh, wait! It already has that name! (Even though you try to cover it with blue rectangles in your video editing) 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Hey Alex, I really enjoy your videos. I am starting CDL school with a company next week. What cameras do you use for your videos? Keep up the good work brotha.
Stay safe Alex.
