Lol hi Alex! I'm from New Jersey and drove professionally both 18 wheelers and motorcoaches long distance and drove busses from New Jersey into mid Manhattan daily man what a mission in the beginning but I got my groove on and for 25 awesome yrs I held a spotless CDL and made some great friends along the way.. too bad in my day their weren't many drivers putting content on social media... Great job Alex love your content!
Idea of a truck company (Lorries for us Brits) doing pre and post checks on their trucks is perhaps the best way to ensure what operator can do a job due to faults in the truck. Costs less on maintaince and unexpected breakdowns too if direct lines of communcation at Truck stops are done. Only started watching your stuff a month back, happy trails on the journey Alex.
I am so glad that your loving your new adventures! I can tell that your new company is a better fit for you, just because you seem happier and your posting alot more content! Keep up the great videos!💛😊
Good morning Alex! 💪 I love watching your trucking adventures. It still amazes me that you are old enough to do this! 👍👍 It's fun to see the adventures you get into when you find a truck stop. I really liked your hike to the top of that hill in San Francisco, and your hike around that abandoned sod house museum.
My brother just got his CDL and he is just under 21 it’s cool to see the stuff he will be doing. Can’t wait for a ride along, maybe might get convinced to take on the trucker lifestyle.
@@medictomedstudent6754 it's going.i would say the most stressful thing would be parking at truck stops at the end of the day. It's a job ya know, sometimes it's rough . But so be it. Currently on my 34 hr restart in Topeka ks.. might take an Uber downtown and good around for a bit
@@whysosyria1 we do a 250ish mile radius from Fort Worth so I often drive down to fortworth or Houston and back in a single day. I document it too check you my channel!
I love watching your videos. Im a truck driver in England and am amazed at some of the things you can do in the states. We definitely couldn’t park on a mall 😅. And usually dont get to go home in the trucks when we are off work
Playing ATS got me to this channel. It's interesting to see Alex evolve as a trucker over the year and funny to see his "road rage" increasing as time went on. Kudos to all the , kind, and safe truck drivers out there. It's a tough job especially with all the terrible and distracted drivers out there. DMV need to increase their standards for licenses and need license renewal for ppl. Sadly some bad drivers out there probably driving with suspended licenses or no licenses. Thanks Alex, keep up the amazing videos.
Bro talk about having to deal with terrible drivers! I’m local, delivering shingles and siding and have to deal with the back country roads, city traffic, congested new construction, shew it’s anxiety city some days haha
Come to upstate NY alex! Actually saw a GP transco truck last week on the NYS thruway around Syracuse. Was on the other side of the thruway so couldn't see if it was you. First GP transco truck I've ever seen
I literally was just parked at that truck stop last night, drive safe In Wyoming if you haven’t passed it already, not sure if you got stuck there like I did during the weekend due to a 40 vehicle pile up and snow storm, it suckedddd😤
The sex appeal of the open road, exploring the unknown, living the minimalist lifestyle in your semi-rv, all while making good money 💰has to be the true - pleasure of being a professional truck driver.
I still remember the time when my dad used to drive a truck, he took me to the mall in Somerset Kentucky to get me my first pair of Converse. That's when he was driving a sharp blue W900 Kenworth
That's cool man. Usually I check in with security guards at a Walmart or plaza that has a gym that I'm the guy with the semi. Some places are anti truck so I like to check in.
To turn your fog lights on you need to pull the switch, the switch I’m talking about is the same switch to turn your headlights. While you turning the switch once turn on pull the switch too
Not sure if it matters but there is a set of numbers on the top of your truck by the lights that could be used to identify your truck i think. Hopefully im wrong but from your other videos they seem to change
Pale skin is O.K. too. Truck drivers have the best contrast of pale and dark skin. Both sides live in harmony. Be proud, for this unique to the truck driver!
To turn on your fog lights turn the switch on and pull out on the switch they will turn on and help you see better. It took me about a month to learn thet …lol
Have you ever had to use the 5 gallon bucket before? Also how is your delivery schedule set up? Do you notice that your in one part of the country in the beginning of the month and in the other part by tue end of the month?
In NJ you have truck stops and rest area but they are very few, most of the time they are full, and very few Pilots, Loves, TA… probably 1 or 2 of each one in the entire state… majority are Sunoco or small companies who allow trucks or have trucks parking spots.
I live in NJ Men, and you are right, I didn't realize until I became a truck driver how crazy people drive and now I don't like to drive the truck in NJ or NY city, must of the time I drive in PA , WV,OH CT,MI .
Your truck number is 232074 and just so you know the VIN number on the side compartment door uniquely identifies your truck too. If you’re going to cover your truck number in your videos then you should cover the VIN # as well
Alex...awesome job. I love watching you and your vlogs. Please keep them coming. Hope you find some one who will date you while you're in the road. That would be a special person.
I hated that when I was stationed with a transportation unit and they had to haul fuel in California... Everyone assumed a truck with 7200 gals of fuel can stop on a dime... LOL I got to where i hated prius and BMW drivers...
There are see through sun shields you can buy for your left window. Some have a high level of UV protection and stay on my suction cups or they hang by a rod. Just watch out for lying ads, claiming features they don’t really have.
We have the Steve Lombardi truck stop in East Rutherford, nj right outside of NYC on the nj turnpike but I agree we don't have alot but if you're driving on the turnpike you can find some more truck stops

To turn on fog light simply turn on headlights and pull the headlight switch out. If you have auto headlights just pull the switch out
Literally just did it on my freightliner thank you for this lmao
Sweet ✌️
Auto is for low beam it turns out automatically in the night time
Pull what knob out?
Been trucking 25 years

Jeff gave the correct answer. Turn on your lights then pull out on the light selector dial.
Hope you are staying safe in this cold slippery weather

i am NOT a truck driver
i have an idea for you , you can buy a bike and keep it in the truck so you can park far from where you want to go .
for lights are tied into the main head light switch, turn the switch on and pull out on the head light switch
Pull the switch out and your fog lights should come on. Be safe out there!
