Quick how to on cleaning a cold air intake filter thoroughly and explaining when it's time to replace it. Hope this helps you with your project and doing it yourself.
Nice and simple... Thank you. 👍🏿
The filter mentioned in the video is a dry air intake. Cold Air intakes come preoiled and while doing maintenance the oil should be re-applied
Dry filters are not oiled at all, wet filters need to have oil re applied after filter is dried… i mentioned this in the video
I clean mine every oil change and have a spare so I dont need to wait for it to dry.
Thats a great way of doing it
I definitely wouldn’t clean it how you clean it definitely wouldn’t push the dirt in with my finger or let the damn thing lay on its side with a sink full of water so contaminates could get in
Looks fun 😊
Dawn is petroleum based
Do u need to oil the filter at the end what happens if I dont
Not all filters need oil both mine are dry filters so no oil but edelbrock and k&n do need it
Look up your brand
@@ghostlyrich thanks brodie
I ran with no oil on mine and it did fine, I didn’t even know if it was one that needed it or didn’t need it. Some people say never use oil but I’d say look it up too
@@ghostlyrich How do you know if your filter need oil or not? There is no brand on my filter. It is just a blue filter
How often?
Every day I think
Bad idea
Bro why are you teaching people how to destroy their intake? You never put the water on the outside that's bleeding it inside the intake and they make cleaner for intakes not dish soap
Done this for years multiple cars all worked fine, use what ever cleaner you want and if its a oiled filter stick with the manufactures recommendation
Awwwheelll naw
This is the worst way to do it honestly cold air intakes are useless and so pointless
Theyre not, Depending on your platform it may be limiting your tuner to push more power. Some stock air boxes are really good some aren’t.
