That's exactly what I did. I have two filters. When one gets dirty I just swap it out. Clean the old one and let dry. Then it goes into a plastic bag. When I'm ready to swap again I'll oil it and install. It's also important to note not to let the cleaner dry on the dirty filter. Clean and rinse immediately.
I've been using oil filters for years. You hit on what I do at 4:32 I keep at least 2 filters. One clean oiled up in a sealed plastic bag. I just swap them out clean and oil the used one so it's ready for the next time. Easy as pie with little down time for my car.
Your supposed to use a certain amount of oil for the size of your filter. Must filters will say how many grams to use. Surprised they didn't mention that. And it's better to oil every pleat down the length of the filter one at a time and work your way around.
I used to have a K&N filter on my previous car.. My 2015 has the steeda. can I use the K&N cleaning kit that I already have for my filter, or does it have to be specifically this one?
I buy the spray kit from steeda 3 year ago for my fusion ecoboost 2.0l. I can't do the same thing as you because it a spray oil, what did you recommend me ?

Thanks for that info! I’m gonna do the same

Now I just have to find out where to get that "Ole".
Haha! That's how we say it down here
I was always taught to rinse your filter from the inside out. Pushing all dirt and contaminates away from the filter.
That's correct
that's what i was about to do too, but i decided to just watch online again and this popped out.

Hi does anyone know If the cone filters come pre oiled or do you have to do it before installing cheers
The filters in our kits and the replacement filters come pre-oiled.
Can you use this oil on a K&N filter?
What does the oil do for the filter? And if you didn’t have excess to that oil would you recommend waiting to clean it?

You can use the K&N filter cleaning kit. The color of the oil is the only difference.
@@steedaautosports Thank you for the response I appreciate it
WHY SOAK THE FILTER IN A BUCKET WHY NOT USE A HOSE OR RUN IT IN RUNNING WATER REMOVING THE DEBREE FROM THE FILTER ITS JUST SOAK BACK INTO THE FILTER
To not damage the filter with pressure.
How important is it to reapply the oil to the filter once it's dried out? What's the significance of doing that?
Oilied filters typically have larger mesh sizes to flow more air. The oil helps to capture dirt that might otherwise make it through into the engine
@@cwlodarczykthat’s not at all what he asked
Some filters are oiled...others are not.
Make sure you know which one you're using as you may only need to clean and dry it.

Same process, just spray the filter Media evenly and wait for it to saturate. Let us know if you have any questions! -Chris

How can I tell if my air filter is oiled or dry?
Are you serious rn ?
@@ricanovert9589 very, I bought it off Amazon and it didn’t say
When you soak it in the water if you see oil pooling at the top that’d be a good indicator that it’s oiled
I’m lazy. I just buy a new one as needed since mine is just $70
Can you just buy a new one
Yes buy a new one install it and clean old one return it and be like u want your money back
