Freddie was too sick to be able to do a video by this time so this is a collage of other videos. His voice is still as outstanding as ever though. I love this song that Brian wrote about Freddie. It is about a sad clown who paints a smile on his face and goes out and does his performance. Freddie never complained, no matter how sick and pained he was, he just wanted to sing. What a beautiful human being he was. Freddie was born a rock star and acted like one even before he became one. He always knew where he wanted to take that dream, never let anyone or anything get in his way or stop him. This is how he became a legend. Thank you for your reaction. If you haven't listened to "Don't Stop Me Now, you should, it explains Freddie's outlook perfectly.
The explanation for the video is quite simple. By this time Freddie's health was rapidly deteriorating and he was no longer physically capable of filming so the film was put together by using and mixture of concert footage and scenes from previous videos .
The song coincided with the release (also to promote) of Queen's greatest hits volume two, the video was edited from videos and concert film of the preceding ten years. According to Brian, Freddie at that point was so unwell that he wasn't sure Freddie could do it, but Freddie slammed down a vodka and said "I'll fucking do it darling!" And proceeded to 'lacerate it' (Brians words) in one take
The lead singer of the group, Queen, ws dying from contracting aids and was too ill to make a video for this song so they used a compilation of different scenes from previous music videos and live concert performances. Mercury is considered to be the best rock band frontman in history with the best vocal range.
What you just watched was clips from 20 years of videos and concert footage... quite intense sometimes... the drag costumes were for the spoof of the British daytime television of "Coronation Street", as told in "I Want to Break Free"... the 'mooning' of the camera and/or audience is well-known to all Queen fans as Freddie's way of 'saluting' his old manager that did them wrong, listen to "Death on Two Legs".... thank you for reacting to Queen... blessings.
This was his last full song he sang they had to wheeill him in a wheelchair into the studio he didn't think he could do it with the register. He took a couple of shots of vodka and said let's do this he did it in 1 go
Thats debatable as Days of our Lives was Recorded between 1989 and late 1990 and the video recorded in May 91 and released in February 1991 on the albem and then as a double A side in December 91'. The Show must Go on was recorded in 1990, also for the Innuendo albem and released in October 1991. So I would say Days of our Lives was finished after The Show must go on as Freddie's voice was ailing then, as said by Roger Taylor...but, Freddie still sung it brilliantly still hit the notes.
@@sharonallforloveandpositiv5497 you're right, "These are the Days of Our Lives" was his last video. It makes me cry because he looks so fragile but still sounds so amazing.
Wow 🥰 beautiful sweet Freddie ❤️ for this song there's no live because of Freddie's illness but under pressure Live at Wembley stadium 1986 is a beautiful song 🤩
Wow, 🥰 that's so true, our beloved Freddie although he knew the end of his life was near he made this song and many more, he was very brave until the very end ❤️ Freddie Mercury ❤️
This video was a combination of other videos and concerts...recommend: WHITE QUEEN live at Hammersmith 1975, SOMEBODY TO LOVE live at Montreal, ONE VISION live at Wembley
Hi Guys, This was released in 1991, by this time Freddie's health was rapidly deteriorating, in the studio guitarist Brian May didn't think Freddie would have enough strength to record the song, Freddie could barely stand up, but Freddie being Freddie said "I'll f *****g do it darling", downed a large shot of vodka and did the song in one take!! Unbelievable, only Freddie could pull this off!! 😀 😀 This is my favourite Queen song ever, it's from their 1991 album Innuendo!! 😀 😀 Would love you guys to do Love of my Life from Wembley Stadium in 1986, Freddie has the crowd in the palm of his hands here!! 😀 😀 RIP Freddie 🙏 🙏
That’s tragic nature of this….it’s basically a Greatest Hits/This Was Your Life epitaph for the band because Freddie Mercury was dying when he recorded this. Like watching a tribute video at someone’s funeral 💔
Check out some early 70's Queen, Stone Cold Crazy live at the Rainbow or White Queen live at the Hammersmith Odeon and you'll see how progressive and influential Queen was right from the very beginning of their career. No 2 Queen songs are the same and spanned across every genre of music.
For me, there was nothing funny about this video, only sadness. Seeing his life with Queen through the years while his real life was slipping away, was heartbreaking. The heartfelt lyrics are beautiful and very moving.😢 Written by Brian, another masterpiece. ❤
I did not like, nor care, for you sitting and laughfing of this heartbreaking song!! It made me both sad and mad!! He is singing his heart out, knowing his going to die. Yes, the video is amazing, but please listen to the lyrics also... wow..🥺
MORE QUEEN & FREDDIE MERCURY, PLEASE!!! I basically only watch/listen to Freddie, so I PROMISE that if you do more future reactions, I’ll be here with bells on and will subscribe. SUGGESTIONS: “UNDER PRESSURE” LIVE AT WEMBLEY STADIUM, 1986 “LOVE OF MY LIFE” LIVE AT WEMBLEY, 1986 “WHITE QUEEN” LIVE AT ODEON HAMMERSMITH, 1975 “BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY” LIVE AT MONTREAL, 1981 “FAT BOTTOMED GIRLS” LIVE AT MILTON KEYNES BOWL, 1982 and “SOMEBODY TO LOVE” LIVE AT MILTON KEYNES BOWL, 1982 (NOTE: There are a couple different popular performances of this song… 1982 MILTON KEYNES is the one that Queen put in their official compilation of BEST LIVE PERFORMANCES.)💕

One of my favorites... "inside my heart is breaking, my makeup may be flaking but my smile still stays on."... I miss Freddie
I like very much that phrase
Doesn’t sound like the voice of someone who is drying does it, but that’s Freddie a showman right till the very end.
Best band ever!!!
RIP Wonderful, beautiful Freddy. ..this song always breaks my heart. All the wonderful clips of Freddys past videos, his way of saying . ..goodbye 😢❤

Rest in Peace, Freddy Mercury. 😢😢

The "cute girl" in the short skirt is actually drummer Roger Taylor.
