This was a fan made video to the studio version of the song. Freddie was unable to perform this live due to his illness. He was barely able to stand while recording this song.
Hey POPE!! I really hate to burst your bubble... but KUDOS to the video engineers! This song was NEVER performed live by Queen and Freddie, What you just watched was a video mish-mash of clips from other concerts by Freddie, as a matter of fact, this is the song that Brian said Freddie was deathly ill and could barely stand up to the mixing desk. Freddie said he'd do it, downed two shots of vodka and nailed it in one take.... Arquest(??) has done marvelous videos of songs never played live, like Innuendo, Let Me Live, etc., amazing how they can sync the song to the video so effortlessly... thank you for the reaction... please keep'em comin'... we love it...and we love you!! Blessings.
I was just scrolling the comments to see if anyone had mentioned that. I was in Montreal in '81 for my 24th B-day. One of my favorite concerts, to be sure.
Can't listen to this one without tears - because of the otherworldly place that Freddie takes it and what it took for him to sing it while he had so little time left. It's a brilliant piece, one for the ages. Thanks for your reaction and keep on...
Freddie was so I’ll at the time of this recording, Brian May Queens lead guitarist apparently approached Freddie one day and said I’ve written a new song do you think you’re well enough to sing it , Freddie replied yea darling and took a big drink of vodka and sang this amazing performance in one take , Freddie mentioned in a interview before he knew that he was I’ll , Who Wants To Be Old Bones , sadly Freddie passed away aged 45 years old, one of every ones favourite Queen songs , great reaction thanks 🙏
this song, (SHOW…) any version, just chokes me up, so as antidote, please ALSO react to THIS THING CALLED LOVE but use the Montreal 1981 live pls - Freddie plays rhythm guitar (!) and it’s sooo much fun❣️ other versions including official vid are good but that one SMOKES❗️💕your stuff, keep going pls
Hey Hon… FYI, there is NO actual live performance of this song. Freddie recorded it in his last months before he passed away… This is a fan-made mash-up of various Queen performance bits. REQUEST: It would be GREAT if you could react to the Official Music Video. While I’m usually all for fan-made videos, the AUDIO on this one DOES NOT do justice to Fred’s vocals. The sound quality in the original is so much better, and they did a MARVELOUS job of editing together video snippets from Fred’s life/career together as a tribute to him.
@@lisaargyrou1488 hahahahahaha No, I just put that in to see who the "real Queen fans" are, because they'll pick up on the same being Farrokh's real last name!
Hi ! Well yes it is one of the greatest ! all great songs ! One other great Album would be ( Made in heaven ) was released 2 years after Freddy s passing ! from my memory ! I could be wrong ! It could be a bit more or less than 2 years ! I play the whole Album driving my truck in the Canadian Rockies in memory of my brother who was 3 years younger than me it s called Leaving (Sycamus, BC. )I speak french for the first few minutes then i push play ! All original sound from the truck s CD player ! great choice of live show ! Impressive quality right ? thanks ! When you click on anyone s logo it takes 1 second and you re in ! i do that alot ! LoL 😋
It’s also one of my favourites as well !!! As everyone has said it was a video mash … it’s impossible to think how I’ll he was when he recorded the most amazing vocals … Freddie is sorely missed. 👑❤️👑❤️😍
Yep, that guitar solo was played by Dr. Brian May PhD, Astrophysicist. The members of Queen are the most talented men on and off the stage! Who studies to become an Astrophysicist in their down from being the lead guitarist of the greatest bands to ever grace the stage, Dr. Brian May PhD does! 😎
I intended to comment that it was the studio version artificially manipulated to appear as live with a tacked on finale but others have already done that very well. To think that this & Innuendo were written & recorded shortly before his death is beyond incredible. His will to summon the strength to produce two final masterpieces & give them to the world as the curtain closed is mind blowing. A few more great Queen tracks you may not have yet done are "Who wants to live forever" , "Tie your mother down" & "Death on two legs" Best wishes
such a brilliant song to close out a fabulous career. when this came out it became clear that it was the end. though he didnt comfirm as much until almost the day he passed.
Wow 🥰 beautiful Freddie ❤️ If our beloved Freddie wasn't so sick by the time they released this amazing song 😍 that's exactly how a live performance would be like ❤️ thank you Pope for another great queen reaction🥰
You chose a great song to be your favorite!!! This was not performed live. Freddie was dying and too weak to hardly stand. Brian told Freddie that he might be ale to hit the high notes in his condition. Freddie said "F*** it, give it to me. Freddie downed some vodka and as Brian said, he just lacerated the vocals. A fan did a good job of editing the song against a video of another live performance and it looks great! Freddie was actually dying when he sang this! Absolutely amazing!

I watched it again and it is definitely put together. For example I saw him sing pantomine in the song but it's pantomime. I love it and believe Freddie would have loved it. A gift. For all of us.

Well I guess I like the "live" version. I feel it adds more power by seeing it being performed instead of the video. Some people don't know it is a montage of some of their videos. Thank you.
Great reaction, Pope!! They put on one of the greatest shows!! Brian plays pretty good guitar for a stars nerd. He has a PHD in Astro Physics!! Be well and God bless… from Texas!!

Listen to "In My Defense" sung by Freddie...that is my favorite Freddie vocal. I never thought I could pick one song...but, i did after hearing "In My Defense"...check it out!
Freddie's voice is amazing on this video even though he was far to sick at this point to have actually been able to do a video. I love this song, written by Brian . Thank you for reacting to this great song.
Shortly before the transition to Eternity, when the body had practically failed, Freddy's soul was able to overcome all the pain of the body and give him the incredible power to sing this legendary song...

Why is it terrible? The guy who made it is obviously a fan and he doesn't pretend it's real. I think it's a great homage to Queen. He obviously worked hard to edit it to fit the song.
Love your reactions. No fan of Queen. Talented Yes. Enjoyable no. Especially the Opera rock combo fusion. and the gayness was not know by many so the dislike is musical but the gayness of the government is tiresome. i'm sorry but this band was popular but never super popular to late 80s high school gen x. Now they like geometrically more popular than the beatles stones and led zeppelin combined. Occult promoted shiz. That song was like a Scorpions song. it was ok. Peace out there to the song lovers..... I's don't have the energy for a queen fight.
Thanks. It never ceases to amaze me how many people hear a Queen song a declare it their favorite until they hear the next one! Lol.
This was a fan made video to the studio version of the song. Freddie was unable to perform this live due to his illness. He was barely able to stand while recording this song.
