Great videos. I've been searching for a complete series on the Oracle Touch. Thanks!
Thank you for your comment! Have a great day!
Thank you! Just cleaned mine and it works great, one thing I would suggest is to take off that red rubber part too! It gets dry milk stuff there too.
That is an excellent "tip" :) Thank you for sharing. I am doing this now also.
3 years late🎉 but this is the best guid ever your videos are the most best and explanatory. When I got the oracle touch we would watch tutorials but they all had no info but when I found out this channel it changed the taste of the coffee! Best explaining!
Thank you very much for your comment! I had the same experience after buying this machine, so I decided I would make videos as I started to learn more about the machine.
Thanks for the video. I do this once every 3 months because in general I keep the steam wand clean so it's not needed every month but this is well made video with clear instructions and I do appreciate it.
Thank you very much for watching. I agree with you, it's probably not needed every month. I think I am at about every two or three months now. I also keep the steam tip in water when not in use; this has improved the performance of the wand in-between cleanings. I will talk more about that in an upcoming tips video. Have a great day!
Super vid, the BEST I have watched ! Now I only need to watch yours to keep my machine in order, Thanks
Thank you very much for watching!
Thank you
Your video is really helpful and so beautifully presented for anyone to understand .
Great job ❤️
Thank you very much for watching!
Great video, superbly done, very informative and helpful, great music also, thank you
Thank you very much for your comment. Have a great day!
I normally perform a clean water frothing after you had completed the milk frothing. I never have any problems over the past 5 months
Same, but i still get milk buildup .. I also remove the orange part on the tip and use the cleaner (powder) as per this video monthly
Hi. Thank you for the upload. Really helped me but I have the barista pro and new to it. Do I just turn on the steam wand manually like I was going to steam my milk but in water?I don’t have a steam clean cycle. Thank you very much 😃☕️
Very very very useful and thorough.... Thank you so much...
I have saved all videos...
I will actually buy the machine because of your videos...
So many bad reviews, but I thought they must be doing something wrong with maintenance...
And your videos gave me the proof
Thank you so so much
Thank you for watching the videos.
Just remember, the machine is not perfect! I try to make that clear in the videos. I have frustrations with stray doses, but overall we are happy with this machine because my wife and daughters can use it on their own. I also purchased a nice external grinder to prepare the puck by hand when I want, and this gets me excellent results too.
Maintenance is very important. I have not had any difficult issues with my machine yet. When the milk texture starts to be bad, I do a full steam wand cleaning, and it is like new again, etc. Maintenance should reduce the issues you encounter. Have a great evening.
This is great info but once the tip of the wand is unscrewed and it’s clean I wouldn’t soak it in the solution. No need for that unless you want with time the soft components start to degrade. Inspect and clean as necessary is my advice.
That was very helpful, thank you!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching!
This is a helpful video. I'm having trouble with my steam wand because it is 'blowing' too hard. This results in milk not frothing properly and heating too quickly. any suggestions (including exact parts to buy) would be really appreciated )
You're a meticulous guy, just like me. Congratulations for following and explaining all the steps.
Thank you very much for your comment. I hope the video was helpful! More to come soon.
I also remove the red rubber on the steam tip before the 20min soak. It unscrews clockwise. Then rise/steam without it as well. There's so much gunk under it that you can only remove like this.
Absolutely. Great suggestion. I started doing this after someone posted a comment with the same suggestion. Thank you for your comment! Have a great day!
Thanks again for the video.
I also took off the orange rubber tip and cleaned in there.
yeah I think you should do this
That is a great “tip” :) I have started to do this too. Thank you!
I haven’t been able to find the Steam Wand Cleaner online. I called Breville and they told me to use descales instead. I don’t think it’s doing as good a job. My milk will steam but it’s not texturizing anymore. Any ideas? Thanks for this video. I use it every time I clean the steam wand.
I recently cleaned the steam wand on our Breville Oracle Touch and now it steams too much. Even set at a “1” it’s way too much foam. Any ideas? Thanks for your videos. They have been very helpful.
The same thing happens with my frothing after I do a wand cleaning. It takes about a week for the wand to return to what you should expect for foam at the “1” setting. Unfortunately, it’s a bit of a trade off; if you don’t clean the wand regularly, you eventually lose all microfoam, and when you clean the wand, you have too much foam for a week to two weeks.
Would not have bought this machine if it wasn't for these videos. Should receive compensation from Breville.
Now that I have the machine Coffee Wiser is my go to whenever I want a question answered.
While I am here, do you have any opinion on the cleaning tablets Breville offers and subsitutes?
I know they have SEC250, their brand, and BEC250, Cino Cleano that I have seen you use which is OEM.
Krups/Melitta/Bosch and other machine brands have there own tablets.
Are the other big brand machine tablets just as good?
Thank you for your kind comment. I have only used the Cino tablets. They seem to work reasonably well from what I can tell. I think I bought a large pack of them while they were on sale, so I have some for next two years! Maybe other watchers can share their experience with other tablets. Have a great day!
How do you manually flush the steam wand (following the auto-flush)? I could not tell from the video.
Just press the steam button on the screen. You can steam by hand anytime.
Where can you buy the wand steam cleaning packets? Surprised can't find them on ebay or amazon. Any third party products out there that work the same way?
Here are some options:
- Original steam wand cleaner: www.breville.com/us/en/parts-accessories/parts/sp0014526.html
- Alternative steam wand cleaner: amzn.to/2XLRaLP
Mine is block blocked. No amount of cleaning is working. You put a jug of cold milk in it and it says it’s at 65 deg c within 5 seconds when it’s still cold.
Can you use vinegar or a descaling solution instead of the steam wand cleaner? (no amazon where i live)
I have not tried vinegar or descaling solution. However, since the Breville wand cleaner solution is always out of stock, I have tried several different wand cleaning solutions and they work fine. Right now I am using the Urnex Rinza Milk Frother cleaner, in case you are able to order this. Any other frother cleaner should work fine.
@@CoffeeWiser Thanks for the tips, cheers
I am getting an error for the steam wand, what are other ways I can fix this?
Is the steam wand tip properly screwed in all the way? If it is not, it will cause an error message. Also, have you cleaned it recently?
Coffee Wiser that’s the thing, I cannot screw it’s on correxrlt
My steam wand just stopped working . I’ve only owned the Oracle touch for 5 days. Will this help? It doesn’t steam or froth
Cool vids, but maybe a bit faster....have myself reaching for the YT speed 1.5x button......just sayin'.
What if the tip is stuck?
Are you not able to unscrew the tip?
I'm having this issue - can't get the tip off. Any suggestions? We've had multiple people try, tried a grippy thing to help - nothing works.
@@bonniedilber412 wrapping the tip in rubber bands was what finally worked for me
What is real world reliability of these , for £2000 there seem to be far too many reviews of breakdowns in and out of warranty, seals failing too soon and parts difficult to have replaced , and there doesn’t seem to be any follow up from Sage or likes of John Lewis makes me quite wary, I’d quite like one BUT 🤷♂️
I am not sure how long these machine last, but I am at three years now, brewing 6 drinks per day, and it is still going great. It helps to conduct proper maintenance, and it looks like descaling the machine creates more issues than it solves, so I would avoid that as well. But you are right, it is a pricey machine. You can get great espresso for cheaper with a fully manual machine, such as the Rancilio Silvia... that thing is a work horse.
Many thanks that’s really helpful 👍
@@SH-xq4dq You are very welcome :)
Save your money and just use a few drops of dishwashing liquid

Thank you sir :)
