I am using a Bambino Plus. My common practice is, after frothing, the machine will run a purge. After the purge, I will fill up the cup with clean water and run a short froth again, you will see some residue milk in the cup. I never do such cleaning for the past 4 months without any problem. The steam is still very strong and as good as new

I never had build-ups like that but great to know how to use the tool to unscrew the tip. I've been wondering how people remove it. Lol! Anyway, one good practice is to wipe the wand with a wet microfiber cloth after purging, and pinch the tip while cleaning it so you can remove the milk right away. Using the wand with milk deposit like that for a month may not be good for your health, and other people you're making coffee for

I wonder you can help me with something. My steam is not working as it used to be. I cleaned the machine and after the steam is like it takes like 2 minutes to hot my milk before it only took like 30 seconds? Any help. Much appreciated.

Thank you. To heat milk in 30 seconds, the quantity of milk should be less, i.e. 2 cm below the spout. For single cup usually it takes 70-80seconds. For a double cup, 90-110 seconds.
To increase the efficiency, you need to clean the tip of steam wand and Descale regularly. BBE has weak steam wand and its normal.

Is your machine Breville? As I've never heard of that in Breville yet. Other espresso machines may do this when some components are breaking apart inside. You may find white calcium deposits when u clean the wand and may be few dark. But then it should stop coming.

Help. Each time that I use the wand to steam milk the outside metal of the wand gets covered with milk residue crusted on. How the heck do you keep that metal wand clean after every use. If I waited and did it once a month, it would be absolutely disgusting.

That's because steam wand is hot. Use a cold wet towel to wipe down the milk and don't forget to purge the steam wand. You should do this immediately after you froth each time.
