I'm obviously only on Part 1 lesson 6 but this has to be the most in depth 4L60E video I have ever seen. And I have seen a ton of them.

I've been watching all of these videos... I just love how they do things Barney style, simple and clear. "PUT IT ON THE BENCH"

I just rebuilt my 2007 Chevrolet 4L60E following Jimmy's tutorials and it works again! Fantastic video series and presentation. Never thought I'd attempt this procedure but he made it easy as well as ordering the parts I needed. Highly recommended, thanks Jimmy!

Was it slipping pretty bad? How did it hold up

@@KollynJ It wasn't slipping, I had lost some teeth on first and parked it after 2 miles getting to home. Did the rebuild and basic upgrades according to Jimmy and has been going strong as work truck, tow vehicle and daily since. Probably close to 50k miles. Work carefully and flush and clean everything.

Videos are great step by step. Only thing I cn recommend is put parts that belong together like valve body bolts in bags in the box. That way no one can mix up what bolts go where.

Hahaha I had to cringe a little and laugh every time he said "now put this in the box of small parts"... I'll definitely be segregating my small parts, just for my sanity LOL.

These videos are helping me a bunch ! ! !
But, the "small parts box", is a joke. Maybe he can know what goes where later on but the people that are watching because they DO NOT know how and that box would not help at all.
I'm bagging and labeling every thing that is coming off, so I'll be able to put it back together.

Super videos, I have a question, but it seems that these guys never answer any questions. Or am I wrong?

Any suggestions I’m stumped what to do I’ve been wiggling it trying to turn it so that the teeth on the ceramics will find a groove to slide past that’s what I think is going on if anything I have another set of ceramics so I can just force it to come out

Pump and input drum seem locked together and came out as one. Did I miss some thing or are they just stuck? This is from a 2001 s10 Blaze

I have an early 2004 4l60e with the o-ring on the pump. I ordered a new pump for 04 through 06 and it has the wedge seal without the o-ring. My case looks like it will accept either. My question is can I use the newer wedge seal style pump on it as it has the o-ring pump in it now, and will the case accept either style?
