Ok but why do they give you money back? Probably data mining. Sounds pretty shady
Lol Ebayes (rabakuten) Ibotta etc all give cash back
It's pulling you to certain gas stations. They throw you some change back and you potentially go inside a spend money. I literally drive by two gas station to get gas on closest upside station.
Lol
If I'm getting gas in the morning in my company vehicle and 1 of many other company vehicles from my company happened to be filling up at the same station that morning before departing for the day , could I submit all of the receipts and stack the rewards?
They must know more than the past 4 digits. The first digit is the card identification number. It indicates visa, MasterCard, etc. That’s how it knew what kind of card it was.
They ask for first 6 and last 4 of your card when adding a card to your wallet
Do you have to use a card? What if you buy gas using cash?
Once I get to the gas station, I cannot check-in as I am too far away from my home, and am out of range of my wifi. what can I do? It even has the blue thing next to it.
so I can quit my job and just collect receipts all day to submit
Sincerely hope this isn't a serious question...
Why do I HAVE to use a card. I prefer cash.. I Must use a card to use the app? My app is asking me to add payment method before I can proceed forward.
So how does the app itself make money? Selling data? An app doesn't just hand out money if they aren't getting some back
Assuming they get money from the businesses benefiting from the program.
@@hollywood6581 But what is the “program”? That’s what I’m confused about. If I’m a station owner why am I going to be paying this company to give money back to users when I can lower gas prices by a dime to take customers away from my closest competitor?
Sure he can just lower his price! But, with this app it’s now called volume my friend. This app is able to drive sales upon sales to this gas station. Personally I drive sometimes a couple miles out the way to snatch that .25¢ savings vs. 04¢ savings where I presently may be. Not only you getting the gas sale. Think about the foot traffic flowing through the aisle of all that jacked up gas station prices. Cha-Ching
How many gas stations are compatible with the app? All the major ones or only a couple?
I get lots of choices. The app scans for those that it can be used at, and will let you know what you will save at each one. Just so you know, it can be used not only for gas, but restaurants and grocery stores as well.
Hassle and the gas prices so high right now people just go to Costco for cheaper prices
Is there an app like this one but for diesel semi trucks?
Works on diesel
how do you get your cash back?? Where do they deposit your savings??
You have to drive to their office to pick up your cash back. It located @ 184-A Main St in Duluth MN, it’s right next to an Arbys. I live in Massachusetts, it only took me 3 days to drive to Minnesota, but I was collecting gas reward the entire trip!
check on the menu, they got diferent options.
@@christophermartin972 lmao
cam I use this app on a semi (commercial truck)?
Tes
No
Does it work for gasoline purchases only? How about diesel?
Works on diesel as well
I’ve been using this app and 1/2 the time I don’t get my cash back. It says “expired” when I do exactly what I’m supposed to do
How do you get your money though? I already have the app with money on it.
i just started doing this but for what i can see you have a lot of options and two of them are either you send that money to you bank or paypal.
Does this work on diesel fuel? My Freightliner burns about $2,000 dollars of fuel oil every week.
Flying J card gets you 10 cents off while you stand there. Why would anyone go for a 1 cent discount. It makes no sense!
okay so an average of $10 a month for all of that effort? What else could you do with that time?
You save more like 1.2 cents per gallon. Like he says, he saved $63 in 6 months. NOT worth the hassles. Gas Buddy - same result. Just do 2 extra rides a month instead of wasting any time with these
I see savings upto 30 cents per gallon and that is 5 dollar full tank. Completely worth it
I just got like almost $6 one tank-- and if all I'm doing is showing up to do something I do already and get a few extra bucks??? What's the actual harm in that?
Those $63 could have been spent but instead saved!
Can I use my holiday gas card
So they do need ur bank account If u get cash back from the app right? They know where you at whta type of car you have, you give them all ur info basically and then boom you get hacked
You can’t get stuff in gift cards and even in your pay pal, they don’t need your credit card
Your info is already on the dark web
OK, all well and good, but HOW do I get my money? Does there have to be an ammount I have to accomplish (i.e. $50) before Upside puts it in my bank account??
10 dollar minimum cash out. you can transfer yo a bank account or PayPal. they also have tons of gift cards (I do these). The gift cards are egift cards emailed around 22-48 hours after redemption.
I have a 30 gallon tank so takes 2-3 fill ups for me to get to my minimum and I fill up 1 to 2 times a week. have around 120 back so fat in 4.5 months
So you will still pay tax for your cash back like 1099
So if you use cash you get no money back?
That's when you take picture of your receipt.
What if you use cash 💰
Just use cash and you will save more money in the long run! cards add 10 cents per gallon, So you would save more then using this damn app by just using cash.
Well, always looking for ways to save but... it's been 7 days and my purchase is still processing. It's not worth the hassle. Going to delete my saved card and uninstall app. Screw me once, shame on you, screw me twice, shame on me. I'll just keep using gas buddy, less stressful!!
So it doesn't discount it at the pump ? So your technically still paying 5.98 a gallon when it says on the app pay 5.12 a gallon at this gas station claim this now your not even getting half of your money back the guy got 60 bucks in a month when he probably spent 150 total in gas
I don’t follow you all the way… but he said $60.00 in the past 6 months. Your Paying 5.98 technically? If it says pay 5.12 on app that means you save .86¢ per gallon. So put 20 gallons in your vehicle you will get the 17.20 into your account in 3-7 days. So technically it discounts 3-7 days after you put gas into your vehicle.
The premise is if your buying the gas anyway? Right, so take 15 seconds to open app check in.
2.5 tanks of gas earned by cash you say!?!?!? Where you buying gas at????
I have $200 dollars so far.
$0.67 cents on a $57.00 order doesn't' seem worth the hassle in using your app.
I only use velaro gas and if I'm in a area that doesn't have then I'll use shell. Both of which are on upside I buy quality gas so might as well get some change back. Plus once I get enough back out cash out and fill up with it.
Nahhh. I ain't gonna do it. Thought about it.
6 months $60!! Boo! Might as well save your aluminum cans. So let me get this straight. You want me to spend money just to get alittle money? That's like people that gamble $500 away, then get excited that they won $100.
Not smart to purchase fuel with plastic. Much more likely to be victimized by identity theft. Something to think about.
