Tip for all, not sure if this app works or not, but a thing you can do to ensure you don't overspend at the pump, walk up to the pump, before you insert your card press enter, you'll be prompted at most pumps to enter a preset dollar amount of gas to purchase. Enjoy!
I made .67 cents a gallon in my area, I made $10.00 on my first fill up with no promo code. My app wanted a picture of the receipt but that's fine with me. I love it so far.
Hi!! What about if I received less cash back than I suppose to received? I claim an offer with 0,50 and I received just 0,12. Do you know where can I text or ask what happened? Thanks
Just wanted to add that I watched this video on Saturday 04 Nov 2023. Good info given....except that now they want ALL of the info on a credit/debit card. Granted, 2 years ago this may not have been the case, but something changed with the folks at Upside. Thanks for the info !!
Just an FYI for anyone that might not know, some debit cards will place a hold on your account for more than what your gas is when you pay at the pump. They release the funds after a couple days.
Right I learned that lesson years ago that’s why when he said at the pump I was like ummmm if that’s how this app works this is not for me don’t have time for that bs
I don't like paying at the pump because of that reason plus one of my friends used her card at a pump where someone put another chip reader in and drained her bank account of $1700.
It is a reasonable suspicion? WHY DO THE APP REQUIRE TO PROVIDE CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD #'S? Wouldn't it be to do just like employers do paying wages with direct deposit or cash gift cards? Or any gift card?
I had this issue for GetUpside. I changed my approach. I activate a deal, I go to the gas station and fill up, I leave the gas station and go home, I try to check in when I’m not close to the gas station, the app will ask “are you at this location now?”, I click “no”. Then it ask, “did you already make the purchase?” And I click yes. Then it will take you through the progression of uploading your receipt. You have to make sure you review the changes in the app and click yes for all the fields the app asks for “date and time, gas station address on the receipt, the last 4 digits of the card used, a few more but can’t remember all the fields. This process takes a few more days and you will always get an email saying it is taking longer than usual but in the end it always goes through. I haven’t had any weird reasoning like before and it has always worked. Im over $26 now in savings.
First time using it today. Was simple. I DID have to upload my receipt. But that was also simple just make sure you take a clear picture. You are on point with your info.
Is it the price of the gas the same as in the other stores? I think what they do is that they are just returning money from overcharging or overpricing. Nothing is free. Someone will have to pay that money returned to users. Thank you.
Just remember, most gas stations freeze up to $100 for up to 24-72 hours if you use a debit card at the pump, they need to make sure you have enough to cover what you get--make sure you have the cash in there, especially for us drivers who fill up very often!
Yep, that’s why best to use credit but I fear late payments so I say prepay it for the monthly usage. Also avoids the debit overdraft fees. 👍🏼 You’ll get the revolving coverage with no late fees or hurting your credit score plus earn cashback in both Credit (that earns) n the App!
I love how the radio ad says the girl gets $200 to $300 per month. False advertising at its best. There's no way she's buying 800 gallons of gas a month.
Mmmmmmm I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure the last 4 digits are or partially are a check sum to detect mistakes and fraud. It should be pretty easy to reconstruct a complete card number from the first 6 and last 4.

@@WHATSUP7049 The sad part is, your right. Last I knew, numbers don't lie to science, and it's actually sad to say they are making money off you by having waste your precious time on their app that tries to take you to the more expensive gas stations, and that algorithm makes more sense because they are making a bigger profit in a much shorter amount time between the gas station taxes, and splitting up the profits. It also makes it easier for them to accumulate wealth because they have 2-4 days to give you that pocket change back.
It isn't worth it. It's only worth it the 1st and 2nd time, they will give you a good deal for the 1st and 2nd time anything after that it isn't worth it. Now gas stations are charging you 20cents for using a credit card. So instead of charging you the normal 10cents for using your credit card it will charge you the next rate of gas which is 20cents more than 10cents for using your card and most getupside deals only give you 1-20cents max. So even if you get a gas deal that gives you 20cents back you will get 0cents back because they will charge you as if you were getting the 2nd tier of gas which will always be 20cents more because you are using your credit card.
They ask for all your Card numbers but 4 of them, which makes it easier to figure out what just 4 numbers are. So good luck people using it. Your card will get mysterious charges sooner or later.

And of course what a shocker my home state of New Jersey has zero gas stations participating as of right now LOL
Does this also work if you use fuel rewards points for certain gas stations? Example, I enter my phone number to check for fuel discounts. Then, I get gas. Does it also allow if say FRYs fuel is giving me $0.25 off per gallon?
I have to fill up my company truck daily. Will I get cash back if I'm filling with the Companys card? I would imagine that would throw some red flags.
What is the difference between this and Gasbuddy fuel savings? Seems like the same thing with different name.
What happen if you notice your gas station pump dont print receipt:/
Great info, Logan! I’m going to give it a try. I hope it has affiliates in Arkansas.
Thanks, Teresa! I just checked the map in my GetUpside app and I saw a bunch of participating gas stations in the Little Rock area with others scattered throughout the state!
In Arkansas, local chains may have their own loyalty programs that are more generous. Take the time to check them out!
Nice info video. But they won’t do direct deposit if u prefer that ????
Not a sponsored video but you've got an affiliate link and a promo code?
Why can’t they put the cash back onto the card you used?
How can remove the person that referred me or the person that getting 1% back. Do you know how. Thanks .
So if you use a cash back credit card will you get cash back from upside and get cash back from your credit card company as well?
Yes I do and get the two discounts.
So you said you have to pay at the pump, some gas stations charge $100 when using a card at the pump until it posts 😠, can I use an app to pay for gas at the pump? Shell is a participating gas station near me.
So I assume you can’t use Apple Pay at the gas station pump?
I can rarely connect my phone with the internet, maybe a couple times a week. Can this work by saving the receipt and sending a picture later?
Thx!!! I heard about this app on the radio.....will give it a try.....BUT Can you clarify this please...PAY AT THE PUMP.....< when you say this, do you mean YOU FILLING The Tank YOURSELF only ? or can you also BE AT THE PUMP & The Gas attendant greets you inside your car & He TAKES your card & fills out your tank & hands you a receipt.....
I think as long as you get a receipt your good. You have to take a pic of the receipt and upload it. Make sure it’s clear and readable. It’s all within the app.
How does it know if you've filled up? Like can you just get $10-20 worth of gas and still use it?
N it seems I can't pay using the Exxon app or the shell has to be physicall card right? Cuz the times I used the app for the gas station didn't get nothing n tried it with my card n it worked
What’s the limit you can build up before you cash out
you miss some steps, when clicking update its asking to put the gas price. Also, at my end its saying upload receipt is not saying to click to complete so without uploading receipt the transaction won't go thru..
Let me ask you question I work for crackel Barrel and I get paid weekly after taxes I bring home only 400 every single week and my hourly rate is 15.50 am I being ripped of are they messing up my paycheck I work 32 hour a week
Are the GIFT CARDS an electronic gift card emailed to u?
Certain gas stations require you to upload a receipt.
Can you stack upside with say a Mobil rewards account using the same credit card?
Another con, doesn’t work at the cheapest gas stations in my area like Costco, Safeway, Foodland, or sams …ugh
Excellent vid! I subbed
But are the limited gas stations the ones that are a lot more expensive than others?
