Although it was a bit of a downer having to head home early, it was still a cheery and scenic video, some interesting, enjoyable and different music as well, I think it can make a diiference. Good one !👌
Hey Lindsay, thanks I appreciate your comment and picture you taking your camper van that way next time if you haven't already done it. And Happy New Year to you both. I've been down and out since Wanganui Boxing day with a crap virus.
Great video. We are almost living in a parallel universe. I have the same bike with a very similar set up. I also appear to be of a similar age:) I am shortly picking up where I left off on a circumnavigation of the NZ coastline. Starting in Dunedin I have completed South and West and over to Blenheim. I will pick it up there towards the end of January and head back down to Dunedin. I will then move into the North Island in February. Was great to hear your story.
Thanks Boris and yes it kinda looks like that. You must feel good knowing you have that trip in front of you. I'm booked on the ferry to head south again 4th February. Feel free to call me O21 577 294
“I’ll be back” love it.😂🏍️ I have relived that phone scenario many times Darryl, I hate getting old 😂 Now it’s January 2025 you should be fighting fit and getting excited for your February trip back to the South Island. Safe travels mate.
Bless you Darrel. I was able to push the thought of losing my phone to the furtherest part of my mind so I could enoy the day. Yes I'm as good as I can get with my right shoulder etc. It took me four months before I could sleep in more than one persition but little by little I'm ok. I got aome kind of a flu on boxing day at the Wanganue road races and it laid me low all through the Xmas til now. I can't wait till Feb. I believe I'm going to get some real cold weather down there. I was like winter here over Xma with temp as low as 13 degrees. I didn't mind there was plenty of planning an pc work to be done. Cheers Mate.
@@kiwiadventurer 2:15 did you get to talk to this lady? If I’m not mistaken she is Keri-Anne from Launceston in Tasmania. Sorry to hear about the flu, that’s bummer. Glad the shoulder has mended ok. Your weather is not much unlike ours here in Tassie this far south you have to expect 4 seasons in one day.😂
@@thehairyleggedbikers.darre2510 Sorry Darrel, yes I did have a short chat as she was readying to go. What a great personality and charming with it. That's quite a coincidence don't you think.😀
Hi BV, thanks but once I lifted my hand using my left hand onto the throttle I was reasonably pain free and frankly, you would have done the same. Incidentally you put out thought prevoking videos yourself and.... we both live in the same area. Cheers my friend
Great bit of coast and highway there , traveled it a bit heading through the south island 🎉, always stopped at cheviot for a break.I Remember when they were rebuilding the highway and stopping what seems like forever at the roadwork traffic lights 😂, Great video's. Cheers.
Hi Peter, I agree and always enjoy riding by the sea. I travelled it a few times duing the rebuild and what an amazing job, now look at i,t you would think the earthquake never happened. Happy riding mate.
Hi Derryl are you well? Happy New Year. In Kaikoura, I`v eaten the best lobster I ever had, than down the inner Kaikoura road to Christchurch. 25 years ago.
Beautiful country
Happy Healing!
Yep Paul, back at the happy end again, it took a bit of disipline though
