- I departed Hanmer Springs in brilliant sunshine heading to the inland road to Kaikoura which is one of my all time favourite roads, and 50 km past Waiau towards Kaikoura was where I was to cross the seaward Kaikoura ranges..... to get to the Clarence River Reserve. I had been looking forward to this particular destination big time but once again I had to change my plans due to the affect the storm that hit the eastern seaboard of the South Island the previous day. Shooting from the hip I made my choice and went for it. The day was a good one and although I didn’t get away from Hanmer Springs until 11am, I completed 340 kilometres on a bike that was so much fun, ending up in the headwaters of the Sth Branch of the Hurunui River.
That comment about the good shoes and having to talk out any time is a great tip, I'm going to start doing that 👍 also camera view is fine.
Thanks for you feedback yoyo👍
A great movie. Hazardous ways. At my time in Nz, inner Kaikura road was graveled down to the stinky seals.
Thanks for your comment fritzy
Would love to be down there, particularly in the backblocks !
If I had a spare 300 Lindsay, I'd take you there.....
That's some wonderful storytelling. Last time I was down that way I stuck to the sealed roads. I can see I'll have to get some knobbly tyres before my next visit so that I can explore those awesome roads.
Off the seal is where the fun is BV. Thanks for your support .😃
I thought the camera angle was great. Gave you a feeling of being on the bike. Good to see you asking permission there's too many that don't.
Matauboy you're more than charitable. When we respect others they respect us and.... we can always get onto the property again.
Another great video. 🤙🤙
Thank you Regan, appreciated.
Wonderful thank you Darryl Regards Ted
Thank you Ted, appreciated
Bloody good video, I reckon its your best yet, but then it could be the wine saying that. Looking forward to the next instalment.
Funny you say that Bret, I thought so too. It flowed well. Amazing what a bit of sunshine can do lol.
spectacular!!
Thanks for watching Graeme
awesome..
Hi Chris, how's Tasmania treating you. Glad you liked the video, its one of my favourites too. I 've got 4 more continuing on from this one ready to upload as I worked my way around to Alexandra. 🤘
That Single Banger 300 seems to be the "Bees Knees".
Love it Mothership. Its definately not about power thats for sure lol.....
Darryl, I couldn't agree more about boring cloudless skies. We live in Perth WA for 12 years and the summers were exactly like that, 6 months without clouds, one reason I wanted to move back to Tasmania.
Your video is entertaining as always, great job.
Yep, I was talking about my six months in Townsville then out in the Moomba desert, no clouds for 6 months. Its is amazing how important weather is.....
@@kiwiadventurer OMG Moomba desert is even worst the Perth. 🤣Out in the oil fields.!!!
Again great video, what awesome countryside, a deep canterbury explore coming on next summer I think.
Its all mouth watering stuff Mike. I can't get enough of it. Perhaps I should move down to the Sth Island. Thanks for you support.
How’s the 300 for comfort? Great vid again mate 👍🏼
Thanks Ham. I got a Concept comfort seat from the USA and no looking back. Ten hour days are a breeze
