Hey brother the bird looks good naked but I can't wait to see you put some feathers on her her knowing your magic this car is going to come out beautiful
This is one of my favorite things to get the metal blasted and that starts the turning point for going back together!! Great content as always!!!
Looking very good
Looks like a totally different car after blasting and the quarter repair looks great. Good job.
Om going to start my 67 convertible pretty soon watch for my you tube videos coming shortly
Still loving the coverage boss, keep them coming. Thanks
gotta go back and look at your technique for quarter sectioning. Dude, I cannot see the weld seam!! outstanding metal work on the great pumpkin!!
Looking good 👍 can't wait to see it in prime and one step further along.
Great process it looks like. So much faster than sanding it all down!!!
Looking good buddy! Getting closer every day.
Very, very nice!!! I totally support your decision to blast after the major surgery is done for the very reasons you outlined.
The car looks great. Im glad you didnt find any hidden suprises. Thank you for sharing this, will for sure have to look for this in my area for the next big project I find.
I had my Sunbird blasted once it was fully stripped of all its parts and on the rotisserie. It was well worth the expense to start working to rebuild it from the ground up with clean metal. I think I was in bare steel for 4-6 months. I had a little flash rust but not too much and took care of it with some ospho and red scotch bright.
Looking awesome I love your channel!
Over all the years, I tried all different kind of ways to strip a shell. Come to find out the best way was to send the shell out to be chemically strip it in a tank as it soaks into and get's all nooks and cracks that you can't with any kind of blasting. Come to find out that today it is cheaper too. You send it out to be dipped/ stripped then dripped again in zinc sealer ( I pay extra for that) and in a week or 10 days when it returns, you now have a coating that has soaked into everything that rust can never form on or in if sealed properly when you get it back ( and it's a hell of alot less messy.) I am lucky because the company I use is only 4 hours from me.
Recently stumbled on your channel and been playing catch up. Had a 68’ back in the 70’s hope to own another some day. Really enjoying your videos. Just curious how do you handle the window channels trim “post” for the clips if you have to re-fab a section of it and need to add the “post”. Looking forward to next video!
Hello again. Im the Guy from NY. How can i get a diagram of that homemade jig. Gor turning the car...?
Have sand in the house every day.
Loved this video mann thx for helping me out.I have a question after sand (recycled bottle glass)blasting a car can you go say a week or 2 without treating the metal or it will damage(rust) it quick?
