    My BCA upper did the same to the cases. Sent it back and they reworked the feed ramps stating they were “too aggressive”.
    Seems better, thanks for the video.

    Man, that Rock Chucker II looks awful wobbly. That'd drive me nuts, seeing and feeling it flex that much, while I'm trying to handload with it.

    Maybe some "dummy rounds" first, then primer and power? Nothing like function checking with live rounds. Be careful DR. Like your bullet selection. I just picked up the Lee molds myself! Good stuff 👍👍

      Yessir! Saved $80 of the case prep + trim station they also offer, which can work with shouldered cases. With this set up, I can do pistol and silly straight wall cases like the legend! Thanks brother👍🇺🇸👊

      Thanks, I appreciate it. These loads were still quite on the hot side, so I would advise starting a few grains lower and working up from there if you wanted to try these.👊

    Are you aware that the Legend has a very short throat? This is what causes bullets that are full diameter to stick in the throat, sometimes not even allowing the bolt to fully close. Powder coated bullets will make this even worse, sticking like glue. This is why factory loads have those traffic-cone noses.

    • @DummyRound
      @DummyRound  2 роки тому

      Correct, these bullets were not made for the 350L. Some ending up working, some no so much. That's why we test these things to see what we can get away with. These actually all work very well, if short enough. The biggest one worked the best at the range. I need to look for an appropriate mold to get one day with a 350L profile. Until then I will just use these and be safer about the powder charge I'm picking.

I have casted 600 of each 100 percent reliable just keep the round from making contact with the rifling about 5thousands as any round if your bolt closes on the ccx rifling your makings a handgernads they need a little bullet jump. I use 300mp in 22tcm tcmr9 300aac 7.62x39 and 5.56 it will not work in 6.5 grendel do not try you wiil have a blown primer pocket. It's just like lilgun and h110 my 300aac loves it.

    How much brass growth are you seeing with mid level cast loads?

    • @DummyRound
      @DummyRound  2 роки тому +1

      I haven't measured growth between any firings, but the trimmer will take a bit off each time. Not a lot, but I just want to keep them all the same all the time because they headspace off the mouth. Hotter loads stretch a bit more, but still nothing horrible. Thanks.

    • @mlindsay527
      @mlindsay527 2 роки тому +1

      @@DummyRound Thanks. Any idea on case life? Do you think 25-30 loadings is possible or have you seen signs of case head separation on well used cases?

    • @DummyRound
      @DummyRound  2 роки тому

      I'm running an AR so they get beat up quite a bit around the case head from the extractor pulling on the rim and all that that comes with a semi auto. I'm sure a bolt gun would be more gentle, and you could also run them hotter. I honestly haven't shot enough of these to see where they fail, but I'm guessing it will be the primer pockets that go out first. Annealing will probably help with preventing splits on the mouth, since it's getting expanded out like a pistol cartridge every loading. As far as reaching 25+ firings, I doubt I'll ever get there, but somebody that anneals every time and shoots the same load could probably stretch them out for quite a few firings. I've heard of some F Class shooters getting that many firings, but I'm not capable of that lol...Unless we're just doing Trail Boss powder puffs, I could probably get quite a few out of those, but I'm sure you're talking about full powder rounds.
      What're loads are you running and in what gun?

    • @mlindsay527
      @mlindsay527 2 роки тому +1

      @@DummyRound Don’t have a 350, yet! Right now I have a Ruger 77/357 that is used for field shooting practice. I run plain based cast bullets at 1550 fps for around 3 MOA. Brass never needs trimming and cases are probably good for at least 15-20 loadings before the mouth starts to crack. Just trying to figure out if a 350 Legend bolt rifle could fill this role better in any way.
