I always felt Phish somehow tapped into the Galactic Maya and their next-level super-advanced psychedelic civilization. Read Daniel Pinchbeck's "2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl" for more on this idea... (about the Galactic Maya, not Phish's connection - that's all my own felling). Stoked they're playing in Mexico on the regular now.
Going to see them in October in Phoenix. Just moved to Arizona from Colorado. I'm glad shows are coming back. Don't really know anyone here yet so ill be going solo but it will still be fun. I love Phish.
I meant that some Phans that love 97 and 98(like we all do), hate on 2.0 and 3.0 Phish. My bad. I wasn't very clear. Hell, who doesn't love 97 and 98??!!
Haters can complain all they want, but I think 3.0 (2012 to today especially) is putting on some of the best shows Phish has ever done. Sure Trey needed some time to adjust to playing and jamming sober, but you can tell that he's pushed through to another level of mastery (Case in point: Alpine Ruby, Tahoe Tweezer)
Excellent full sound on this clip! and good, funky playing that is tight, energetic, and right in the pocket..Laser-Phocused Phish! Wish I could have been there..although I've been to more amazing shows than one person should be allowed perhaps; after discovering them in 1989, and starting out to shows the next year, I'm just grateful they're still going strong and keeping it interesting! I've enjoyed watching them evolve over the last 27 years that I've been a phan. In fact, I honestly feel like they're part of my extended family, like we've all grown up together. I love my Phish Phamily so much!

And go about an hour away and check the ancient Mayan temples ... Thanks phish for coming back ... If not my only show would have been deer creek 2000 .... ....

I was there, and I say that the 200 or so phans outside the fence who ALL made this gamble are the savviest and most hardcore phans out there, and it was totally worth it! Am I right?
