For those people who have to live alone. Yes indeed isolation is a huge disadvantage. But we can turn this isolation into huge advantage. Because living alone is much better than associating with the wrong group of people, which eat too many animals, or people who do not wish to learn and practice truth, including God's commandments or science principles. In that case, I would say living alone would be a huge advantage by isolating yourself from the wrong people. It is much better to immerse oneself in nature than living with ignorant and violent people. God bless!
My current meal = 43 plants :-) I'm a convert! Big salad with some tips: 1. Add a dollop of 5 bean mix in taco sauce from a tin. Yum! Sprinkle with mixed herbs. That's another 4-6. I then add my own kimchi (1 plant not already in my salad and also garlic, ginger and chilli) that's another 4. I then finish with homemade sourdough made with 8-grain flour :-)
34:00 tart cherry juice helps sleep. So true. Once I had a few extremely sour Black Browns. I could not directly eat them, too sour for me. So I boiled them and eat them. That night I slept so good. From then on, I know that sour fruits are extremly good for sleep. God bless!

Plants will put out some chemicals to protect themselves, but those chemicals are also helpful to us. Consider them as the immune system of the plants, so they must be good for our immune system. I eat protien, dairy, and like fruit or vegi every day, love salads ,but not that amount. avoiding starches seems to help me, im sugar addicted so i love things that curb that, yams, cinnamon on greek yogurt with berries, yet these good foods are not always available. i do eat bread, eggs, cheese. and coffee every morning. So i want what youre saying i do get constipation and bloating, so m looking at your advice to get this under controll, will have a talk with my dr soon.

Hi, in case I miss the next time Dr B comes on the show, I would love to ask him this question. My 80 year Mom has always suffered from a "bad" stomach. After the surgery to remove ovarian tumour, she had post operative ileus. It has been months and her digestive functioning has not improved, and when what she eats hurts her stomach, she eliminates it. She is down to eating only oatmeal. The 3 or pills she takes is surely not helping her gut either. My advice to her, based on what I have heard on this show is to slowly start eating very little fruit vegetables and other grains. Is this still the best course of action? Thanks guys. Love this show!

I just returned from a short trip to Northern Europe and found it nearly impossible to eat a diverse whole foods plant-based diet. Beans were almost impossible to find in restaurants...too plebian? Salads had to be made "special" by adding meat and cheese. We ate a fair amount of Vietnamese and Lebanese food in an effort to get vegetables! At least the local food had lots of sauerkraut...
I lived in Poland as a digital nomad a couple of years ago. I spent a lot of time at grocery stores so I could cook my own meals. There were some plant based options at Starbucks Poland or similar American style restaurants, but I passed on those.
My own experiment for my gastritis and IBS 1. Heather's acai fiber - half a packet with my coffee for about a month. GI stress but tolerable. 2. Add kefir - 1/4 glass 2x day. I stopped the fiber as an experiment to see if it would help the bloating and overactive GI and found I don't need it and now just drink kefir. Next step is to try the juice of Bubbi's fermented pickles. I wish I could eat more fiber but it rips me up.

True if you live with great social connections you tend to be healthier. But my heart goes out to all people that are forced by circumstances to live in isolation. I would comfort you by saying that God's eyes are on you. You are abandoned by the society but are taken care of by God. You are in better hands. I would suggest whole food plant based diet, exercising, learning, writing, singing, and going out to the nature a lot. You are not alone. Started eating beans, kimchi , fruits etc its now my third week, i am trying to go plant based taking one day at a time. Can you share to those who hear to you of some strategies on how do high oxalates from plant based food be countered in its ill effects within the body if plan on going more on a plantbased food?coz different person reacts diffrently to oxalates,some are prone building kidney stones while some are not.....or maybe are there certain microbiome within the gut that help regulate or consume these oxalates perhaps so as not to cause bad for ones health?
Sourdough is considered acceptable for many of us due to the fermentation process, as far as gluten sensitivity. Of course, try a bread made with organic flour. Even better, a sourdough made with ancient wheat such as Einkorn vs modern wheat which has been hybridized to the point of no return.

Nothing like the issues my mum has, but having grown up with parents who didnt really have good diets i taught myself to eat things like broccoli. I still dont like a lot of plants, (itchiness, weird sensation /tingling in mouth ) and then texture and taste of some on top Sigh- plants arent a "gift from god". We either bred them to being edible, ( or more edible), or we were able to evolve WITH / against plants Im a short order cook and i dont get to cook anything healthy. All fried, low quality meat, cage eggs - i hate it and need to get a new job cos
Time to start introducing some so your microbes can start eating them. You are just missing microbes to eat them. You’ll gradually get them. Eat raw. I tsp sour kraut. One bite here and there of veggies. Some cooked, some raw. It’ll happen. Be around people that eat healthy. Take probiotics. Start small there too.
1) fiber : eat more plants (vegetables, fruit, whole grains, legumes, nuts & seeds)
2) variety of plants
3) Fermented foods (Sauerkraut, kim chi, sourdough bread)
4) healthy morning and evening routines
5) human connection

Since 😢 stopped eating keto.! I feel so much better better! Then recently I switched to to plant based! Eating fruit smoothies! Oa😢! Tofu

IMHO your diet sounds great. So maybe look at where you live, what you wear, things in your house. An outside source. Clean water. I am not a dr.
