Just found your channel and been binging your best films for every year videos. Can't believe how few subs you have. One of the most underrated channels I've seen. The true definition of a hidden gem.
We watch your videos constantly over the last 2 months. Love your content and watch many on your lists. It's good to know your grandmother was a successful actress!
I happened to just check your channel this morning to see your last upload was months ago, only to get a notification minutes later that you uploaded! what a great coincidence 🤣
Loved the Mel Gibson tapes thrown in and other references. As always a great list. I love how you put a lot of effort into the honourable mentions. Most youtubers only mention a couple. Reviewing online to put together my list, I can’t believe I found 13 great films you didn’t mention even with your extensive honourable mentions already. These aren’t my only favourite films of 96 - I love Trainspotting just as much as anyone else - but I thought I'd make my list from these ones not mentioned just to give them some love. 90s films truly were incredible. 1. Muppets treasure island 2. The crucible 3. The phantom 4. Fear 5. The craft 6. First wives club 7. Spy hard 8. Eraser 9. Bulletproof 10. A time to kill 11. Executive decision 12. Harriet the spy 13. As a Russian, I will toast you with a shot of vodka. Cheers!

Thank you for doing what you do.

Great video! I think I need to give Trainspotting a rewatch. I liked it a lot when I first saw it back in high school but it did not stick with me much. My number one would have to be Breaking the Waves. I think it’s von Trier’s best. My second would be Beautiful Thing, a very underrated British gay film. As for "Twister" and the curious fact that "one of the biggest blockbusters of the year starred Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt": by that point, Hunt was a big U.S. TV star in "Mad About You" (and in my opinion, she gave this role a level of seriousness not borne out by the rest of the (nonetheless quite entertaining) film), and Paxton had just done solid ensemble work the year before in another big hit, "Apollo 13," but it is indeed notable that they both would see their movie careers peak just one year later, when she earned an Oscar for "As Good As It Gets" and he was in what was then the biggest hit of all time, "Titanic."

NUMBER ONE: BREAKING THE WAVES - a stunning performance by Emily Watson and an unforgettable film.
I was looking for more suitable music but struggled to find something I liked. Finding it even harder for the 2000s!
I remember film critic Stanley Kauffmann writing that "When We Were Kings" should be retitled "When We Were [Don] King's Pawns."

I thought the person who runs the channel died?
Just moved countries and started a new job. Have less time to edit these.
@@1-2many Some guy named showman6273 commented that you died in your last video (1995). If it was a joke, it wasn't funny. I'm happy to see you are ok.

Swingers should have been No. 1.
Wow no love for Scream or Citizen Ruth ?
I had Scream in my honourable mentions but I completely forgot about Citizen Ruth! Really good film. Whenever I think of Laura Dern I picture her with wood sealant around her mouth. Great performance.
I love Muhammad Ali but he wants to talk about someone else talkin’ too much when he never shut up Yeah he could back it up but that’s all he did is talk shit constantly💯💀
Love your vids do you have a letterboxd account?
I'm afraid I don't.
