The Dragon dash that you get as a base skill is also an amazing tool for quickly traversing areas like when you unlock the dash in Jedi Survivor.
it's also a good follow up for knockdowns.
Nowhere near as good as in Jedi Survivor however.
You can also reapply the shield before it wears off making it basically permanent so long as you manage your stamina well enough to keep using it

The skill is good but it requires good timing to be effective. A better option is to have a mage pawn with high halidon spell.

Cheesed a lot of encounters this way. There is a few damage/status types endgame that go through it though

Yeah using the shield right before dragon jumps on you or uses its spell is so satisfying
I was able to take out the dragon at the ancient battleground using the shield and Wild Furie.

I suggest before killing the dragon in melve you save at the inn first as sometimes it can take 2-3 attempts so if you fail to kill it just jump of the tower respawn at the inn and try again :)
Ohhhh dude I wish I woulda read this earlier. Reset my gameplay and didn’t use the inn often so lost like 5 hours of gameplay.

Out of all the other videos on the topic of Spearhand, this is by far THE BEST. No spoilers. It has the next area if you missed it in Melve. It has deep review of each technique but not overly, just straight to the point.
this class is the one that makes me want to play the game
The shield really is busted. It seems to work off of duration not health, AND you give it to nearby pawns and it doesn’t even cost that much to cast.

Its breaks after 3 hits, or duration which is ~7 seconds. Pretty dope skill, if this were a multiplayer game I could see cause for concern. Since its a single player game who cares.

Na ,I knew about the strat before fighting the dragon and chose not to do it. The dragon is supposed to escape so that you can go on a mission with Seeger later. And id say if your level 30 to 35 dragons should be a balanced challenge.

I just did it at level 62 😂 it wasn't too bad, it did take a while though but im not playing as one of the super OP classes im just a fighter.
I am effectively still running mystic spearhand but am currently a warfarer. Being able to swap on the fly to an archistaff or magick bow depending on what I am fighting and how often it holds still is a lifesaver. And the archistaff's ability to hover is one I use often to get around and find secrets. But with the exception of rearmament I am running all duospear skills.
we think alike 😭 i just made a reddit post bout this i hated warfarer but loved spearhand and i bought the game for magik bow and ended up not liking the skills but i decided to give warfarer try and using the magik bow as opening then switching to spearhand for dmg and moves and since spearhand take so much stam i use sorcerer staff for galvanize and it is so good what skills do u use
@@adriangalvan4297 honestly I was just running archistaff and duospear for the longest time, but the magick bow is much better for things that don't stop moving like the various kind of harpies. And the tracking on the staff's attack leaves a lot to be desired.
@@adriangalvan4297 forgot to answer your question! I am using the shield, the the dash attack, and the one where you charge up a magic blast like a cannon. No I cannot remember the actual names for those.
The warrior is super fun. I wish there was a little something for survivability but I love swinging a big ass hammer and smashing everything
It’s pretty much just a earth maul class and it’s absolute peak, it’s been my fav class alongside warrior cause greatsword also just feels SO GOOD in this game
shouldve tried thief,, when enemy knockdowned for instance a dragon you could press the strong attack and it dealt around 2 bar
@@andaiandaigaming5131 thief was my first ever class, straight up easy mode lmao. Blades of the pyre and formless feint combo is so nuts and fun too lol, At this point ive played every class except for mage/sorcerer/trickster and they all feel so exceptional, dont even know whats my favorite anymore.
Spearhand can make your entire team undefeatable except for some falls with the shield skill. You can have an indefinite uptime with it if you keep casting it before the spell ends.
It's ridiculous and makes this class the ultimate tank. You can use a stamina draining skill to chain some things too.
What vocation is this build based on?

I was using thief during the Melve dragon fight and got Dead Ringer while I was slashing the dragon. I thought maybe I “stole” the weapon off the dragon
You did, there's an ability that gives you a low chance to steal from an enemy when you're hitting it with Carve.
Same thing with me, genuinely thought it was a guaranteed drop from fighting the dragon and them the vocation master right by it made me think that more
@@jatinmarcob2128I just started mystic spearhand at level 41ish, even though I acquired this about level 20. I thought it would be cheating, it almost is now so it would have been crazy back then.
I still think thief is strongest DPS but this class has more utility (I miss Strider), looking forward to warrior next but honestly I don't think I'll be able to not snap back to M/S when I'm not grinding class levels.
@nobodyspecial1852 Thief is without a doubt the strongest damage-wise with a super strong counterattack, and carve not needing stamina to use. Mystic Spearhand is right behind it with the spinning move when mashing light attack.
I have not unlocked mystic spearhand yet, but I think that will probably be my favorite. Right now I am playing the thief and it's awesome. Especially after having used the fighter for so long. I really love that the thief has a dodge mechanic !
youre gonna love the thief even more when you get the ultimate and blades of the pyre you basically become a bomb thats immune to all damage

I got Dead Ringer without killing the dragon, don't have the mastery for MK, and last I looked the man was in the other small village that starts with an H. Haven't gone where the dragon is supposed to be yet, but still got the staff
Now here I am wondering how the story arc changes thanks to being able to kill the dragon in Melve......... you just locked the second playthrough in on me from that one alone.
I find the dragon in area without quest or cinematic you just kill him with the dude and voila

How did you get the armor?
how did you get those stats on your Dead Ringer? those are not the same values i had when i picked up the weapon off the dragon.
It depends what level you are. As you level up your stats increase based on what vocation you currently are so obviously a sorc will show more damage on a weapon compared to a fighter for eg.
I did not get that ability wild fury and I spoke to him twice like you said. I did get the weapon though.
Same thing here, not sure if now I have to go to his secondary location for it

I prefer Thief. They have an invuln too (Formless Feint), skull splitter is the highest DPS skill in the game, and they even have the rope to deal with annoying flyers.
if you use formless feint with blades of the pyre it prevents you from damaging yourself so you can one shot a lot of creatures i one shot a Minotaur i just blew up in his face
@@dragnarok4286 Thief still the best class because it can also go through closed doors with its dash. you just need to find the gap to dash through.
It is not the highest DPS in the game sorc has the highest DPS hands down one shotting every thing

Unlocked winding cut a while back but no matter how much I spam the attack button he never does it…
For me it took a while to get it down but you have to press your basic attack button ridiculously quick.
ye, that's a tricky one, you can only start it from an idle or running position, not mid combo, so take that in mind
Or use the heavy then spam light attack or should work that way

Apparently you can get the dead ringer in some kind of volcano island for 56k gold. I missed out on it but I'm still pissed for that is a LOT of money.

So far for me it’s: Archer/Mystic Spearhand, Sorcerer, rogue, Warrior, Barbarian. Don’t bother with trickster or cleric your first run.

You do realise that the stats you mentioned for the dead ringer are not correct? They're your base stats combined with weapon stats. Which makes me wonder if all your stats are incorrect in your other videos?

Yeah QuickFot and the slicing advanced attack do not work at all for me, gave up on the class as for me on PC its broken.
Read the skill tooltips, Quickfot requires you to press X the moment the bolt hits the enemy, you need to time it correctly or it won't do anything. The meister skill requires continuous inputs to do the full combo. If that doesn't work then I don't know what might be wrong with your game.
@@floofyhoots8129 you really think I didn't do that? There is many many Reddit posts saying the same things. It flat does not work. I'm level 67 already and it is the only class that refuses to work as it should,
You have to hold down the R1 button until you get a spark on your arm. I was also having trouble until i figured it out. They don’t really tell you that in the description. The window for it is medium to press x or R1 again.
As for the slicing advanced attack..i just spam square honestly lol. Sometimes it comes out and sometimes it doesn’t.

Mystic Spearhand is very good, don't get me wrong. But nothing compares to Warfarer combining Magick Archer and Sorcerer. The orb-arrows combo is just so broken, especially when you consider that Magick Archer gets the ranged revive/heal.
I tried using the ballista and after landing one shot the dragon immediately flew away.
Mine flew away too, i talked to sigurd and the class was unlocked for me in the vocation guild

You cannot use the master skills of a vocation on Warfarer.
Warfarer is straight garbage unfortunately :(

This class is def broken. U can cast the shield and cast the drain stamina skill and have an infinite shield basically.

@@marekbalawender5020 are you sure you’re fully charging it because I thought I was fully charging it too but then I held the button longer until the little explosion animation happened then that’s when you release it and tap the teleport button just when the bolt hits your enemy
