@FelisImpurrator I'm honestly not sure that it's intended but if thief can jump+concussive blast+skullsplitter and get like 30-40 ft of verticality then MS should be able to do the same.

Moments Charge as you said isn't really too useful, but what a lot of people dont seem to realize is that the charged stun that Spearhand does has 3 levels. Most people only do level 2, which takes like 3 seconds of charging to do. If you keep charging passed that.. it takes like 8 seconds but you will see your gauntlet get struck by lightning. That charge does a MUCH longer stun, but its such a long charge up that it really isnt worth it. Moment's Charge allows you to get that level 3 charge instantly at the cost of health & stamina.
True... Also, come to think of it, after reading the skills I finally realize why Quik Fot never works after the level 1 tap. That's because it requires Forbeding Bolt or Scatering Bolt, but the uncharged one is neither of those, it's just Redouted Bolt and doesn't count.
I ran with 3 Sorcerers while leveling Mystic Spearhand and hunting seeker tokens. You just bubble 3 times and let them triple cast Meteor Storm. Everything but Dragons just vaporize.
Redoubted bolt, teleport, hold heavy for an execution, charge another bolt during animation, rinse and repeat. All small enemies just get instakilled. Thief can do the same with ensnare
Had my favorite moment of the game so far last night. Made my way up north to ancient battleground, was getting my ass beat so left eastward to explore. Climbed a mountain, and stumbled into a great griffon nest. Somehow my pawns got left behind at the bottom of the mountain and were rerouting to go all the way around and climb the other side, so I’m in this griffons nest battling a great griffon solo as mystic spear hand. Vocation is so good that I solod it essentially barely taking any damage. Took me about 20-25 minutes to get it down to its last life bar by using the shield and just using basic attacks so I’d have perma shield. When I got it to its last life bar my pawns finally showed up lol. Got a port crystal out of it, my fav moment of the game so far lol
I had nearly the same experience lol, with the Mystic spearhand as well. Although I didn't have the magic Shield at the time so I was getting hit more but still bodied him

It really is. It would be one thing if it just gave yourself the shield. To give it to your entire party if they’re in range turns easy fights into trivial ones. It’s so dumb that I’ve elected to take it off and just use Skiedragoun’s Feste if something tries to hit me. More dopamine, less easy mode.
@@Aliens1337 The game is already too easy. How much easier do you want it? Sure you can cycle between Mirror Shelde and Mage’s High Palladium, but there’s very little satisfaction in doing so. I can see it being useful if the game gets an update with some actual challenge, or a hard mode being added. For now though, regardless of it being a single player game, it feels far too easy for most of the people who are accustomed to these sorts of games to warrant the skill.
Does it make the game easy yeah… but I look at the vocation like it is replacing the mage/sorcerer. I’m able to now run a team full of Fighters/Warriors/Thieves. The downside is I don’t have healing 🤷🏾♂️. Imo we need more complex or challenging enemies! They don’t have smart strategies or stay alive long enough one you hit level 40. Maybe making the enemies smarter and stronger would improve the longevity.
I just walked all the way back to Harve to get the Meister skull cause Sigurd bugged out at Dragonstower then after I walked to the oracle for the main quest and she told me to… go back to Harve!!! LMAO 😢
If you go to the elder’s hut by the entrance to Stormwind Cavern (which you’ll have to anyway for the main quest), I would make sure you activate the port crystal over there. Ferrystones might be pricey, but it beats having to walk halfway across the map (unless you’re into that like I am 😂)
Seching Storm is good for those going for more magic in their spearhand. It's a quick cast, requires little stamina and practically mows down fodder without effort
My only complaint about Mystic Spearhand (having beat the game with it), is that it’s weak on defense. Even the smallest enemies, like bomber goblins, can knock you down. The mirror shield is effective, but once it drops, you’re vulnerable to enemies. When you’re fighting bigger enemies, like a DRAGON, you have to maintain your shield while in combat, which consumes stamina quickly. The basic “fencer outfit” for Spearhand has no elemental protection, so you need the cooling ring or some other enhancement device to protect against fire. When I first fought the Dragonsbeath tower dragon as a Spearhand, I thought it would be fairly easy. But I was shocked when my lifebar was drained within a few seconds, because of the fire and acid the dragon spews.
The dps is almost comparable to thief from the looks of it, can't wait to try this class. I'm still VERY early in the game but I killed the dragon in melve with the ballista which netted me one of the best duospears until late game called Dead Ringer, and Sigurd gave me the meister skill right away. Once i finish getting mage to rank 9 for the stamina augment I'm gonna go ham with this class👌 thanks for these vids cowboy I'm interested to see your thoughts on Trickster at some point
At 3:15 where you mentioned levitating after using the dragons foin ability, in my testing in trying to get a chest you surprisingly cannot do that I tried chaining them together for a while. Unless it was recently patched since it was around a week ago i tried or its a skill issue
I did a full NG+ playthrough as mystical spearhand and it was awesome. got some videos on my channel also. I've been using just a fighter pawn with me. no mage or anything
Ravinour's Hond is unbelievably strong. More busted than Mirour Shelde, arguably, by the time you get enough defense to just not need god mode. At that point all you need is killtime, and Ravinour+Furie is a flawless wombo combo, especially if you have enough max stamina to have a bit left over after Furie. Then the rest is mainly Foin and Feste for mobility, or maybe Speregonne if you can deal with the aim shake nonsense... Mirour Shelde is overtuned for sure, but dragoon dodging is still a fine option and way more fun. Edit: Speregonne either has a splash AOE or pierces small targets in a straight line. I believe it's the latter. That can clean house with small guys pretty well.
Ppl saying this game is easy has me confused im 30 hours in taking my time exploring and doing every quest and im at level 14 and im dying alot and ging through all my healing maybe im in the wrong areas not saying its hard but thetes not much for weapons and alot of the enemys have a whole lot of health my biggest frustration is long ass trips with very limited health and every enemy can knock you down with basic hits and you cant even get up before you get hit again its very annoying i hope this improves as i get stronger i inow i could look up giudes yo gind better things but this game has been so much fun just to exsplore abd gind shit on my own my issues with the combat is the only negitive things i have to day this is the most ive enjoyed a game since elden ring i just unlocked this vocation and wanted to see what weapons were looking like to see if i wanted to stay as a fighter or use this class
Unfortunately the charged R1 on this vocation absolutely trivializes most encounters outside of bosses (stun --> finisher --> repeat), which makes it quite boring to run unless you can resist the temptation of using it.
I have a question. What's the best candidate for the half stamina consumption upgrade? I don't think Thief needs it for Feint or Skull Splitter considering how insanely cheap they are, so... Is Wild Furie the best for it? Or does it work well for Arc of Might (i.e., reducing it to half the bar) or Heavenly Shot (presumably the same thing)? I don't know if it halves the stamina of those, or if those skills are hardcoded to consume a fixed percentage no matter what. If it's the latter, does the upgrade increase damage on Heavenly Shot or anything? The description is hard to understand.
@@FightinCowboy How does it work on the "uses all your stamina" stuff like Arc or Heavenly though? Does it leave half the bar? Heavenly says it scales damage based on amount of stamina remaining, but I don't know what that means.
My Spearhand has the half stamina enhancement on Speargonne (the stamina -> damage laser) - I don’t think the reduced stamina cost impacts the damage conversion, so you’re free to put it on any skill which converts stamina to damage.

Having started as a thief, I find every other class unplayable due to a lack of dodge. It feels so essential to the combat that I cant play anything else. I'm clearly doing something wrong with this class as I struggle with every fight barely surviving as I have no evasion, no block, nothing to defend with.

So I have a serious question I've been having a hell of a time with the warfare I was trying to use a couple of mystic spear hand abilities I haven't really used the mystic sparehand but every time I press left bumper to use that spell I forget what it's called and then press a to use quick fot nothing I cannot get it to work at all
never played the first game.... got this day 1... hated it lmao uninstalled. lol Was playing Rise of the Ronin... started to like it... came to a point soon after of hating it... uninstalled immediately and never going back loll installed this again after the update on ps5 that gave the ability to start a new game... deleted my previous game.. didnt care where I was at.. didnt know what was even going on. I love this game now haha I gave it a chance and tried to understand the rules and what the world is trying to portray with its systems... fantastic.. some bugs in some missions that are quite stupid (masquerade mission) other than that its great.. its like a traditional JPRG thats in 2D form, translated to 3D hi res... its the same structure... this build im running now.. love it.. along with a Sorcerer, a Mage and a Warrior.... nasty work... lol
Idk I feel like I kill Drakes much faster with Magik Archer compared to Mystic Spearhand. Using the combination of both thanks to the Warfare Vocation kills Drake even faster
I really wish they had better magic weapon options or some form of enchanting. Aside from an obvious fun and customizable option, there’s no good reason why I should have a fire affinity mage in my party and basically be completely SOL if I run up on 3 fire oozes. The pawn AI isn’t good enough to stay tf away from them and spam lightning or that frigor spell and I’ve been in a dragon fight where I was running around panicking to revive pawns because oozes kept trolling them. Just let me perma apply lightning to my weapon, pls 😂
Looks like the second stage of forbeding bolt stuns for a little longer and has a higher % of slow on the enemies from my time using it. Not worth it tbh since u can charge 2 stage 1 forbeding bolts in the time u do 1 stage 2 forbeding
How can I kill a golem with mystic spearhand? I destroyed all the magic metals and after that I can do no damage at all no matter what I do, like wtf? 😀 I ran sorcerer before and easily vanquished them with the tornado...
Went back as sorcerer, but wasn't easier (purple golem near mountain base cave in volcanic island) in the last 10 minutes of the fight there was zero sign of any medal left, but I kept spamming High Seism and Maelstrom and it eventually died and I got electrum finally 😀 gonna go to Ibrahim to get forgeries to never have to do this again 😀
I think it's offset but the insane utility. Being able to keep enemies locked down with bolt constantly is pretty insane, instant full stamina with Ravenous and tbf Fury is solid damage. The forward momentum on it makes it iffy on some weakspots but it definitely can pump damage.
@@FightinCowboy I agree. It has great CC with the bolt, good damage all around with the mobs, and can be a tank with mirror. It's just missing a little more umph but that's the problem going from a thief to a mystic spearhead
It doesn't need an increase in damage, Thief and MA being broken doesn't mean MS is weak. MS gets better in NG+ because it gets the most benefits from halving stam drain for one skill which makes Furie much more usable.
@@SwinhoegamingTechnically yes, but you would be limited to two MS skills due to needing Rearmament for the archistaff. That is still viable though, because all you really need if you're abusing that strat to nuke is Ravinour's Hond, Wild Furie, Augural Flare, Rearmament. You would also be allowed to wear the Fighter/Warrior gear for BiS defense (assuming it's unmoored loot dwarven/dragonforged), but otherwise the second best option is just the Corset... Edit: My bad. Forgot you can't use Wild Furie as a Warfarer. Without it, your main rapid hitting option is actually just that mashing basic attack spear spin, although it's slightly difficult to trigger without mashing REALLY fast. Still does enough to keep charging flare, and it does mean you can keep pinging the flare with Seching Storm or something if you need to, and run Dragoun's Foin and Skiedragon's Feste instead of Ravinour+Furie for maximum mobility.
I run the dragoon jump move the stamina suck on enemies wild furie and the dash ability. I can’t remember any of their names without looking them up lol but I found myself using those skills ended up with the best results especially when playing solo or with fewer pawns.
Rhewynt weapon he fuk up should be elven cos it is magic plus i think he dont understand enchanting,cos dwarwen is great only for armor and warrior weapons cos of knockdown power
Recommending post-game equipment isn't really helpful. What about early/mid/late game equipment? What style of enhancements? These aren't really "Ultimate" guides, more like "Post-game" guides.
Not too sure where you're up to, but if you've unlocked dwarven smithing, I'm pretty sure the Dead Ringer duospear you can buy is more than enough to carry you through until post-game. I've yet to reach post game but have been breezing through everything with that
That's why I do my own research but getting to volcanic Island Asap maybe after getting the regalia sword quest for smithing and your good to go until endgame Well the smithing depends on your playstyle
Incorrect. You actually count as completing his quest immediately. Talking to Sigurd twice after shooting down the dragon gave me Wild Furie instantly. If you don't get it then you may need to give him a gift just to max his affinity.

Yeah, unfortunately without hard mode Unmoored is really the only area to showcase these without running out of things to kill or constantly fast traveling.

What's the skill setup for sorc pawn? Meteor+Maelstrom+two empty slots? Does spell hold improve their performance?

The second level charge on scatering bolt icreases the stun time on enemies you hit with it. 🤙

Same, early on it's a clutch. By lvl 50 it's entirely unnecessary.

For equipment you missed the other chest piece Spearhand can use which is from a chest or drop in post-game.

Ppl saying this game is easy has me confused im 30 hours in taking my time exploring and doing every quest and im at level 14 and im dying alot and ging through all my healing maybe im in the wrong areas not saying its hard but thetes not much for weapons and alot of the enemys have a whole lot of health my biggest frustration is long ass trips with very limited health and every enemy can knock you down with basic hits and you cant even get up before you get hit again its very annoying i hope this improves as i get stronger i inow i could look up giudes yo gind better things but this game has been so much fun just to exsplore abd gind shit on my own my issues with the combat is the only negitive things i have to day this is the most ive enjoyed a game since elden ring i just unlocked this vocation and wanted to see what weapons were looking like to see if i wanted to stay as a fighter or use this class

Unfortunately the charged R1 on this vocation absolutely trivializes most encounters outside of bosses (stun --> finisher --> repeat), which makes it quite boring to run unless you can resist the temptation of using it.
I have a question. What's the best candidate for the half stamina consumption upgrade? I don't think Thief needs it for Feint or Skull Splitter considering how insanely cheap they are, so... Is Wild Furie the best for it? Or does it work well for Arc of Might (i.e., reducing it to half the bar) or Heavenly Shot (presumably the same thing)? I don't know if it halves the stamina of those, or if those skills are hardcoded to consume a fixed percentage no matter what. If it's the latter, does the upgrade increase damage on Heavenly Shot or anything? The description is hard to understand.

@@FightinCowboy How does it work on the "uses all your stamina" stuff like Arc or Heavenly though? Does it leave half the bar? Heavenly says it scales damage based on amount of stamina remaining, but I don't know what that means.

My Spearhand has the half stamina enhancement on Speargonne (the stamina -> damage laser) - I don’t think the reduced stamina cost impacts the damage conversion, so you’re free to put it on any skill which converts stamina to damage.

Having started as a thief, I find every other class unplayable due to a lack of dodge. It feels so essential to the combat that I cant play anything else. I'm clearly doing something wrong with this class as I struggle with every fight barely surviving as I have no evasion, no block, nothing to defend with.
Which forge should we do?

Core skills are way too unintuitive and difficult to be called “core skills”
Same with some rings like the parry ring from the Dwarf blacksmith, the description says something about avoiding combate but is just a damage boost after a parry
And most skills arent explained properly like Thief's smoke bomb, Magic Archer's healing arrow, Archer's poison arrow, ...

So I have a serious question I've been having a hell of a time with the warfare I was trying to use a couple of mystic spear hand abilities I haven't really used the mystic sparehand but every time I press left bumper to use that spell I forget what it's called and then press a to use quick fot nothing I cannot get it to work at all

never played the first game.... got this day 1... hated it lmao uninstalled. lol Was playing Rise of the Ronin... started to like it... came to a point soon after of hating it... uninstalled immediately and never going back loll
installed this again after the update on ps5 that gave the ability to start a new game... deleted my previous game.. didnt care where I was at.. didnt know what was even going on.
I love this game now haha I gave it a chance and tried to understand the rules and what the world is trying to portray with its systems... fantastic.. some bugs in some missions that are quite stupid (masquerade mission) other than that its great.. its like a traditional JPRG thats in 2D form, translated to 3D hi res... its the same structure...

Idk I feel like I kill Drakes much faster with Magik Archer compared to Mystic Spearhand. Using the combination of both thanks to the Warfare Vocation kills Drake even faster

They're only a flat 30 so late game they're not worth. STR for example would be a 3% increase.

I really wish they had better magic weapon options or some form of enchanting. Aside from an obvious fun and customizable option, there’s no good reason why I should have a fire affinity mage in my party and basically be completely SOL if I run up on 3 fire oozes. The pawn AI isn’t good enough to stay tf away from them and spam lightning or that frigor spell and I’ve been in a dragon fight where I was running around panicking to revive pawns because oozes kept trolling them. Just let me perma apply lightning to my weapon, pls 😂
Looks like the second stage of forbeding bolt stuns for a little longer and has a higher % of slow on the enemies from my time using it. Not worth it tbh since u can charge 2 stage 1 forbeding bolts in the time u do 1 stage 2 forbeding

Went back as sorcerer, but wasn't easier (purple golem near mountain base cave in volcanic island) in the last 10 minutes of the fight there was zero sign of any medal left, but I kept spamming High Seism and Maelstrom and it eventually died and I got electrum finally 😀 gonna go to Ibrahim to get forgeries to never have to do this again 😀

This vocation just needs a increase in damage and kill potential. It should be able to shred more but love switch to it as a break from thief.
I think it's offset but the insane utility. Being able to keep enemies locked down with bolt constantly is pretty insane, instant full stamina with Ravenous and tbf Fury is solid damage. The forward momentum on it makes it iffy on some weakspots but it definitely can pump damage.
@@FightinCowboy I agree. It has great CC with the bolt, good damage all around with the mobs, and can be a tank with mirror. It's just missing a little more umph but that's the problem going from a thief to a mystic spearhead
It doesn't need an increase in damage, Thief and MA being broken doesn't mean MS is weak. MS gets better in NG+ because it gets the most benefits from halving stam drain for one skill which makes Furie much more usable.
Could you play Warfarer but basically just use all Spearhand skills/gear but make use of Augral Flare and spin to win to do big damage?
@@SwinhoegamingTechnically yes, but you would be limited to two MS skills due to needing Rearmament for the archistaff. That is still viable though, because all you really need if you're abusing that strat to nuke is Ravinour's Hond, Wild Furie, Augural Flare, Rearmament. You would also be allowed to wear the Fighter/Warrior gear for BiS defense (assuming it's unmoored loot dwarven/dragonforged), but otherwise the second best option is just the Corset...
Edit: My bad. Forgot you can't use Wild Furie as a Warfarer. Without it, your main rapid hitting option is actually just that mashing basic attack spear spin, although it's slightly difficult to trigger without mashing REALLY fast. Still does enough to keep charging flare, and it does mean you can keep pinging the flare with Seching Storm or something if you need to, and run Dragoun's Foin and Skiedragon's Feste instead of Ravinour+Furie for maximum mobility.

I run the dragoon jump move the stamina suck on enemies wild furie and the dash ability.
I can’t remember any of their names without looking them up lol but I found myself using those skills ended up with the best results especially when playing solo or with fewer pawns.
Rhewynt weapon he fuk up should be elven cos it is magic plus i think he dont understand enchanting,cos dwarwen is great only for armor and warrior weapons cos of knockdown power
Recommending post-game equipment isn't really helpful. What about early/mid/late game equipment? What style of enhancements? These aren't really "Ultimate" guides, more like "Post-game" guides.
Not too sure where you're up to, but if you've unlocked dwarven smithing, I'm pretty sure the Dead Ringer duospear you can buy is more than enough to carry you through until post-game.
I've yet to reach post game but have been breezing through everything with that
That's why I do my own research but getting to volcanic Island Asap maybe after getting the regalia sword quest for smithing and your good to go until endgame

If u kill dragon in the beginning of the quest u are never going to get his ultimate skills do no KILL THE DRAGON
Incorrect. You actually count as completing his quest immediately. Talking to Sigurd twice after shooting down the dragon gave me Wild Furie instantly. If you don't get it then you may need to give him a gift just to max his affinity.
