It's interesting that most east coast videos about fishing are actually trying to sell you some fishing stuff - motors, tackle etc.
West coast videos here are mostly about fishing for the good of fishing.

Crawlers are by far the best bait for walleye on lake of the woods as well, I don't care who tells you leaches are the best, I've yet to be outfished when I use crawlers

TJ Huerd I can't argue with your success all I can say is just that I have a hard time using anything else but a leech well in the spring most definitely I have fished crawlers in different ways but in the spring a big fat ribbon I like calling them on a floating jig head should be illegal lol of course this is all my experience so it's is my humble opinion good luck next time out take care my friend

Lake erie is rough. A mere 3 footer can be brutal & once it get more then that you are screwed unless you have a nice 25 + foot boat. Once they get over 5 foot just do not bother. But those walleye they caught are nothing compared to Lake Erie walleye.

In the spring time what fish would you expect around a mouth of a river opening to a lake? It is around 10 feet deep. One last thing what lure/live bait would you recommend?

Vermilion...crawlers have always put our mounters in the boat summer months for decades. Inflated. Sometimes on ice..if anyone knows that trick? Lol

Check out the Northwest Angle. Decent launch, or lots of 16' Links with 40hp four strokers. No tillers. And cheap cabins, and great little store and awesome people.

pulled another 16ft back to shore in our 16ft boat the 6 footers from a storm rolling in tossed our little boats around like nothing. never been so scared on LOW in my life. It caught us completely off guard the lake went from the calmest I've ever seen it just like glass to omg are we going to make it back to shore?? in just a few minutes.
