I'm interested to know the impact of tuning to extract more power on reliability and fuel efficiency. Generally power, reliability and efficiency are always locked in a three way engineering compromise. You get more of one thing but you will have to pay using the other. But yeah, I am all for more power.. bring it on!
I'm personally more than willing to compromise power for reliability and id imagine most people are too (unless it's a towing vehicle or something like that). But all depends on purpose I suppose but can't take advantage of extra power if something fails! I've found myself getting very caught up in 'on-paper' specs and went with the Triton. If you compare the "under powered" 2.4L engine to those in the top end utes 5-10 years ago, they don't seem so underpowered.
I don't think udt is yet to have any issues with reliability. if you're not sure about the trustworthiness of a service you can always ask questions about how their work is carried out.
@@IYKYK29Q several companies have successfully mitigated warranty claims for a throttle controller, you really think people are gonna want to fight a court battle over an engine tune? Is it really worth it?
Thats up to yourself but personally i have a 2021 triton and have done mine , gone to mitsubitshi for trucks regularly maintenance checks as per usual i guess only time will tell
@@IYKYK29Q fingers crossed you don't have any issues. I'm sure they aren't particularly common, but for the percentage that have issues I can actually completely understand Mitsubishi refusing an engine replacement.
Got ours tuned made a massive difference
What a rig, Bet it drives mint now good job bois
I’d like to see a vid between awd/rwd in these tritons and Pajeros. Just for illustration.
Great idea! Perhaps one day we'll do a video on this.

Good day, will this dyno tune affect the mivec kick of the mr triton?
Hi there, no it won't.
How much does this tune cost? 2023 GSR Triton
$80
Does this affect the warranty in any way?
Was thinking the exact same
Nah wouldn’t void anything mate
